i have the same problem too. my neck is stiff about 4 month in a way that i can't even look at people who stand next to me.
sometimes it hard to swallow big stuff, like pills and it is very painful when i yawn, and i have tried to some exerciess and move my neck everyday but it won't help.
also, my neck is a little bit swollen.
is anyone was in the same situation and recover?
the doctors don't have any answers..

What was the bacterial infection do you know a specific name for it? I had a virus first then after that cleared i started having pains deep in back of neck sometimes front then mild head aches off and on for 10 days now. I had a blood work done they said it showed signs of infection and nothing more.
better get a test for lymphoma people. the doctors don't know sh*t until it gets to a worse stage.
Could be thyroid or parathyroid.
I have the same thing. Hurts when I push on neck under jaw on left side. Also my left ear echoes and seem to have sinus problems on that side. Haven't been to Doctor since I thought it was my ear. Know sometimes with ears it's hard for them to figure out. I'm always aware of the feeling, sometimes it hurts worse than others
I had a dissected carotid artery on the left side several months ago that has now healed. Now I have all of the symptoms that people are describing here on the other side.
I've recently had true exact same symptoms! I'vee had cancer (left breast and nodes) so always worried about recurrence. Just saw doc yesterday, no swelling so no concern, she said if it continues I can get a scan with oncologist or go to ent. Happy to see your posts.
Good to hear I'm not alone. Doc can't feel lump so not worried. Had cancer so of course I worry everything is cancer....doc said I should go to ent or oncologist if I'm concerned. Probably will go to oncologist just to have her check.

I have been woken by pain just inside where the clavicle meets the scapula. I have had a cold for two weeks but now feels more like flu. I wonder if the pain is related to the chicken pox virus because shingles affects the nerves, you may not get spots necessarily and like cold sores can be brought on my other illness or stress. Plus virus remains dormant in root ganglia and can keep flaring up and present itself in a few different ways.
Maybe try neurotologist or cervical spine specialist
I would also ask the Dr to give you something for stress. Stress can amplify these symptoms, and make your life miserable.
I just started to experience the same thing with the outside of my throat on the left. When i touch it it be sore a little bit. I probably go to the doctor tomorrow to see what they say. Hopefully somebody can tell us something. This is very uncomfortable.
I can't believe that even ONE person is experiencing the same thing as me, let alone numerous people! Mine is exactly the same; aching below my left jawline. No lump. So weird!
