Then one day my foot started itching and swelled so bad I couldn't walk on it put it in a shoe I went to the ER. It felt as though I was walking on a tennis ball. They kept me on an IV and let me go home a few hours later. They told me it must be gout even though the test for gout came back negative. A few nights later I was back with a swollen tongue and face. The nurse actually laughed and said ,"wait I remember you, you are the lady with the swollen feet". I didn't think it was funny at all. I could hear them laughing because I asked the doctor if the two episodes could be related. Yeah, gout in my mouth!
When I complained to the doctor about the ridicule and frustration I was feeling, she referred me to an allergist. Finally, I was told in fact the swelling was relate, and the condition was Angioedema. I still get laughed at by others who think it looks funny or I am so weird, but it is alot less frightening when you know what it is. Piece of mind is priceless!
I had the same problem for 4 years. The doctors just gave me allergy meds and steroids which none of them helped. I decided to take it into my own hands. Google this * hives/parasites * . That's the culprit! Then go to the pharmacy and grab you some Garcinia Cambogia with 50% hca in it. Take it as recommended and watch as your hives go away! I did this two years ago and have been hive free since!
Hi everyone, my husband has all of these symptoms as well. As a nurse, it has really frustrated me that we haven't been able to get an answer and he has been struggling with this for nearly 6 years. We have tried everything, been misdiagnosed with everything, even had a gallbladder removed because of it. I knew it was angioedema but doctors telling me there was no reason and no treatment was not acceptable. I have been doing tons of research and finally came across this organization based out of Honolulu who say they have providers across the US with treatment options! Maybe some of you have found this before, but I just contacted them for a referral and we will see what happens. They say the cause is a gene mutation that interferes with the C1 inhibitor protein, which is partially in charge of fluid regulation in the tissues.

Nope, my husband has been allergy tested for everything under the sun multiple times. Our best leas now is Hereditary Angioedema. If you Google it there's a great site that comes up but I'm not supposed to attach it here.
