I need some advice-Our daughter just turned 15 two months ago and has been a bedwetter for the past year and a half. She wear the size 8 pampers cruisers diapers with adult size rubberpants over it to bed every night. Her rubberpants are all in white, pink, yellow and blue. The other day she showed me some printouts from her computer of babyprint or nursery print rubberpants and told me she wants me to get her a few pairs to wear over her pampers. She thinks they are cute! The ones she showed me have babyprints on them and are quite babyish looking! Should i buy them for her or tell her no,that the pastel and white ones are good enough?
Hi Guest
It may help to find out why your daughter wants the rubber pants with the baby prints.
She did say she wants them to wear over her diaper but just concerned if there might be a bit of a fetish for this type of pants.
If she has a fetish then it makes you wonder if the bed wetting is part of it along with wanting to wear babyish wetting protection.
If she has a fetish then you have to decide if that is a behavior you are comfortable supporting.
If her bed wetting is something that she can't control then the babyish pants might be just something she likes.
Most kids with bed wetting problems go to great lengths to hide the problem and really don't care about going for a certain look.
The one's she has work and for most kids that is all that matters.
You might want to consider having a talk with her about why she wants them and why she wants something that is more suited for someone much younger before you decide.

Yes! I have both seen and heard of teen girls having diaper slumber parties and think it is cute and a good way for the teen girls to relieve the stress of every day life! The diaper slumber parties i have seen involved girls around 15 to 17 and all the girls wore either disposable diapers[size 8 pampers] with plastic pants over them or the cloth pin on diapers and the plastic pants. These girls had pacifiers, bottles, baby blankets and carried on like babies and were quite silly! Most of them wore footed blanket sleepers or two piece footed pajamas and they all looked very cute and babyish.
To Mikezx-Thank you for your reply and help! The daughter told me she thinks the babyprint rubberpants are cute and that as long as she has to wear the pampers and rubberpants to bed every night, she wants some variety in her rubberpants.I did get her three pair of the babyprint kind and she likes them, but she does not have a fetish for them as she told me.Only time will tell if she develops a fetish or not,but for now she is happy with the babyprint rubberpants.
To Guest-Thanks for your reply! I did do a diaper and rubberpants on her under her white tights with her confirmation dress as she felt it would be better that way.At her party, several of her friends and a few of our female relatives lifted up the front of her dress and checked out the diaper and rubberpants under her tights and thought they looked cute under neath!
To Mikezx-Thank you for your reply! You make sense. The daughters bedwetting is uncontrollable,so she told me that she just wants different rubberpants to wear other than the pink, yellow, blue and white ones she has now.I did get her two pair of the babyprint rubberpants to try and she does like them as they do have cute prints on them and she told me they make her feel more girly!
Our daughter is 16 and a half and has been a bedwetter since just past 15.She too wears cloth diapers and rubberpants to bed every night and she has many pairs of rubberpants in pink yellow, blue and babyprints, and also three pair with ruffles sewn across the back. She likes variety in her rubberpants and is a very good student and normal teenager in every other way so i see nothing wrong in her wearing the babyprint or ruffled rubberpants over her diapers.
Our daughter is 15,soon to be 16 and she started bedwetting a few months ago.She has to wear the cloth diapers and rubberpants due to breaking out in rashes from the disposables we had her in.I put the diapers and rubberpants on her at bedtime and recently she has started using a pacifier while i am diapering her.She told me it helps relax her and fall asleep easier.Should i let her continue on using the pacifier?
To Donna- when our daughter was 14,she was wetting the bed and wearing the cloth diapers and rubberpants for it also. When she made her First Communion then, she was in the class with the 2nd graders and i put her cloth diapers and rubberpants on her when i dressed her in her communion dress and veil and told her they would help make her feel more pure like the little girls. She actually liked wearing them under her dress for the day and being like a little girl!
If one sibling is bedwetting and wears diapers and plastic pants to bed for it,is it proper for the other two same sex siblings to have to wear diapers and plastic pants also to 'support'the bedwetter?
Hi Guest
It is ridiculous to put siblings in diapers to support the child that wets the bed if the other two do not wet the bed they should not be in diapers.
They can be supportive by not making fun of the person that wets the bed. They can also reassure the bed wetter that it's not his/her fault and they can help by not telling others about their siblings bed wetting problem.
Support and understanding is much better than wearing diapers that are not needed.
If the parent that thinks this is a good idea feels they are helping they should wear the diapers not the other kids.

I am a girl,17,and a bedwetter also and my parents require me to wear the cloth pin on diapers and adult plastic pants to bed every night! They wont buy me anything else and i dont like the cloth diapers and plastic pants. What can i do?
Hi Guest
Have you talked to your parents about wanting to buy other types of diapers?
Some teenagers with bed wetting problems still have to use plastic pants over their disposable diapers because they leak.
If your wetting every night using disposables can get very costly.
Have your parents decided to stick with the cloth diapers and plastic pants because of the cost they are much cheaper than disposables and cloth diapers are easily washed.
It might help to just sit down with your parents and discuss the diapers you can explain why you would rather use disposables and they can explain why they want you to use cloth diapers. It might not change anything but at least you would know why they feel cloth diapers are a better option for you. If your soon going away to college maybe disposables would be better hopefully talking with them will provide a solution that works for you and them.
Good luck hope you can find a solution or your bed wetting problems improve for you.

Our daughter is 14 and almost thru puberty and still bedwetting! She also wears cloth diapers and plastic pants to bed every night. At bedtime i put the diapers and rubberpants on her,and before she lays down on her bed,she puts a pacifier in her mouth and sucks on it while i am diapering her.She has been using the pacifier for quite a while now and told me it helps relax her and fall asleep faster..Should i continue on letting her use the pacifier?
Hi my 10 year old son recently started bedwetting and we have had to put him back in diapers and my other son who is 13 has been teasing him about it, I have warned him to stop and punished him but he has continued. I have considered making him wear a diaper to bed too to teach him a lesson. It is embarrassing enough for my 10yr old to be wetting the bed and having his mother put a diaper on him every night without having to deal with this from his brother. Should I go through with it?
