I was wearing cloth diapers and plastic pants for my bedwetting growing up. I maybe didn’t have much of a problem with it since I always wet nightly so I didn’t know what it was like being dry and suddenly start bedwetting. I was allowed and even encouraged to stop wearing diapers when I entered high school, which I did. Now I had to deal with waking up in the middle of the night to flooded sheets, blankets, and pillow. I’d cover it with a couple of towels and wake up in the morning after soaking the towels. Miserable, cold, soaked, and smelly. I only dealt with this, laundry, etc. for a couple of months and put myself back in diapers. Waking up in a totally dry bed, most mornings ( some days I just wet too much and sheets would get slightly wet) was so much better than dealing with the mess and lack of sleep. My room didn’t have that bedwetter scent either. Anyway no teenager wants to live in diapers every night but if it’s a medical condition, it is what it is. Let me add every Avenue meds, alarms, etc. we’re all tried to no avail. Waiting to find out in my early 30’s, by an urologist that finally knew what he was doing, found I had a neurogenic bladder, probably since birth, and “maybe” surgery would help. Maybe wasn’t good enough for me so I just keep wearing diapers at night.

OK, my son is 15 years old, and he's been pissing himself in bed at night and sh**ting on him until now.
I don't know what is the problem. Any ideas what is his medical problem?
Have 2 girls now older that went through puberty related bedwetting. I used cloth diapers and rubber pants on them. One thing was that there were zero leaks which made things easier for me. Shortly after starting diapers and rubber pants had them start putting on their own rubber pants. When diapers were pinned they got off bed and went to dresser picked a pair of rubber pants and pulled them on over the diapers. Made them feel better about having diapers and rubber pants on. Gave them some control over their bedwetting. Once the rubber pants were on we'd sit on the edge of the bed and chat for a bit. Then they'd put the nightgown on and were ready for bed and a good nights sleep no worrying about the bed getting wet.
To guest with the two girls-You did the right thing having your two girls wear the cloth diapers and rubberpants for their puberty bedwetting! They are appropriate for girls for bedwetting. We have three daughters,ages 17,14 and 12.When the oldest one started puberty before 12,she started bedwetting,so i used cloth diapers and rubberpants on her every night.i Pinned the diapers on her,then put the adult size rubberpants on over them,then her pjs or night gown went on.After her bedwetting ended just before 15,i saved all of her diapers and rubberpants figuring the younger daughters would be bedwetting also.Sure enough,they both became bedwetters also.The two younger ones are now in puberty and both wearing the cloth diapers and rubberpants to bed every night.At bed time,they each pick out a pair of their rubberpants they want to wear,then they both lay side by side and i slide their diapers under them,apply the babypowder,pin the diapers on them,then put their rubberpants on over. Then their nightgowns go on,kiss dad goodnight,and get into bed.Just like their older sister,they both wear pastel colored and babyprint rubberpants over their diapers with i feel is very cute and girly!
I am 13 and bedwetting in puberty also. I too wear cloth diapers and rubberpants to bed every night.My rubberpants are adult size and fit blousy over my cloth diapers and they crinkle under my nightgown.I have them in white,pastel and a few with nursery prints on them that mom bought.I am going to be the flowergirl in my aunts wedding on June 25th and mom told me that i am going to wear my diapers and rubberpants under my poofy flowergirl dress.I dont need them during the daytime,but mom told me they will make me feel cute and little girlish.Has anyone else seen bedwetting cloth diapers and rubberpants on girls around my age in weddings before?
My daughter is 14 and still bedwetting from puberty.I use cloth diapers and rubberpants on her also every night.She prefers to have me put the diapers and rubberpants on her.
Wore diapers and rubber pants to bed every night from age 5 till age 13. Every night about a half hour before bedtime mom would say ok let's go get your diapers and rubber pants on. I did get used to wearing them but I still felt like a baby with them on but I also was glad to wake up in a dry bed. That was the only plus.
Along with other members of our family extended family as well there is a history of bedwetting and it was normal for the bedwetters to wear cloth diapers and plastic underpants to bed. Our moms shared ideas about how to pad boys and girls at different ages to prevent leaks and wet beds in the mornings. When the family would get together for holidays or summer vacations it was not at all unusual to have 4 or 5 kids between ages of 4 or 5 and 13 standing in line waiting to have their diapers and plastic underpants put on about a half hour or so before bedtime. Also in the warm summer months it was not unusual to have kids in the house with only their diapers and plastic underpants on and nobody thought anything of it. As we started to outgrow bedwetting there were less of us in diapers at night time. And today the family still uses cloth diapers and plastic underpants on those who wet at night.

Yes,i have been to several weddings and have seen cloth diapers and rubberpants on teen flowergirls and junior bridesmaids under their dresses.The girls ranged in age from 13 to 17.I have also seen then worn under communion and confirmation dresses by teen girls in some catholic parishes!
Hi,i want to know if its appropriate for bedwetting girls in puberty who wear cloth diapers and rubberpants,to wear babyprint rubberpants over their diapers. Are they too babyish for girls in puberty? The daughter is 12 and bedwetting and wants some babyprint rubberpants.
To guest above on 5-27-22-I say since you daughter is only 12 and probably somewhat of a little girl yet,that the babyprint rubberpants would be ok for her to wear over her cloth diapers at night.My daughter was also a puberty bedwetter up untill she was just past 15 and she had 3 pair of babyprint rubberpants along with her regular white and pastel ones and she wore the babyprint pairs right up untill the end.
Was babysittter for some 6 years and during that time there were w few bedwetters like 4 girls 1 boy that were older. the younger ones were able to still wear disposables to bed but the older ones had to have cloth diapers and rubber pants on for bed. At bedtimes they would lie down on the bed and i would pin the diapers on. the older ones liked to put on their own rubber pants and so they did I would check to be sure the diapers were covered by the rubber pants and they would put on a nighty or pj's and be ready for bed. In the summer they seemed to like to wear just a top and go to bed with the diapers and rubber pants uncovered not seemed to bother them. All usually wet in the mornings too. Usually they stopped wetting around 15 or 16.
