One surprising encountered 3 months back was that I had chicken pox and all the skins problem reduced and disappeared in my first month of chicken pox. But they return and worse after the second month.
Now, my GP is recommending me to see a skin specialist and will be seeing him soon.
Hope some cures can come up.
I am going to try it today!
I have bad skins peeling on my fingers, palms and toes.
Three months ago, I had chicken pox. During the first month, my skins problem reduced and disappeared. But it returns after one month.
I keep trying to think what had changed during the first month period of chicken pox. Maybe, no stress from work (medical leave for 3 weeks). Maybe, diet. I had only fish porridge every day for my first month...
I am going to try FISH OIL. Fish porridge every day might make me more sick...
I wish I had anymore more to contribute that could be of any use, but I will be sure to follow up with anything that could be helpful.
edit: I have no idea why, but my font changed half way through the article?
According to internet sources, it is important to take the extract with peperine, an component of black pepper. It seems that the latter improves the uptake of the Curcumin. The capsules that I bought from SOLAL contains the perine as well.
I also tried to ingest a relatively suitable quantity of turmeric. However, I only managed it a few times mixed into scrabbled eggs - it was too unpalatable. Also as a tea (with some black pepper) it made inflamed hands a preferable option. (I used a coffee filter for this purpose, and because of its strong colour, was exceedingly messy and tedious.)
Due to stress, I have had another bout of skin peeling during the last week, but at a much reduced level than before.
Remember you need to take the curcumin for at least 4 weeks before it shows any results.
Hope this is of some help.
And is accompanied by a high grade fever (102-104F).
This doesn't sound like that

My fingertip skin is over and over, dying off. It hardens, like a scar, is dead, numb, Im unable to feel anything, Its like a coating of super glue is on the finger, just the tip, or last phalangie containing the nail. My nails now will not grow, and break off at the shortest spot. This all started a year ago when while taking a shower, in floresent military barracks, My finger tips looked white, clear, translucent. But it was not until 4 or so months ago that this peeling, hardening and cycle began and it will not stop. After the thick dead shin comes off, its very tender, down thru the dermis, and to blood at times, then it all repeats about every 2 weeks. I cannot take showers but when I absolutely have too, as I getting my fingers wet, makes them look as if I have been dead in the river for weeks! Its insane. No new meds, soaps, creams, lotions etc. I wear gloves now even for windex. I wonder if its systemic or actually from last years use of clorox wipes at the office. Has anyone found a cause? As creams, oils and all are just a relief form, not a cause for a real cure.
I have exactly what you describe. You mention the clorox wipes...clorox is bleach and I've been thinking it's from the computer/printing paper at my office. Computer paper is made white by bleach!
Hi,
I left a reply about three months agos about my peeling fingers and have since followed this thread to see what others are saying. I have had this peeling fingertip skin 'syndrome for probably 12 to 15 years now so all I can say is once it starts it is a long battle. There are times I seem in remission for several months until for no seeming reason it starts all over again!
Any way I find it interesting that you mentioned clorex! In all these replies no one has mentioned clorox although I have wondered myself if my use of clorox for disinfecting purposes around the house has sometimes not been the culprit. I couldn't say for sure but it seems that over the years after I have done alot of cleaning in the house, my fingers in a few days to a week or so will start the dreadful peeling process all over again. I still thing mine if an autoimmune problem but could be triggered by clorox or something. I mentioned 3 months ago the only thing that seems to help is to take fish oil tablets and that seems to work but only after being on them a month or so will I start noticing a difference. Let me know if you figure out that clorox is the culprit, I am very interested.
