I also have the same thing. It started about two-three months ago, and so far it is only on one finger, up by the top joint on the side. Same as all of you... It is small bubbles under the skin in a cluster and eventually they pop and then the skin seems sort of raw and/or hardened and prone to cracking. I live in Alaska, so the winter does enough havoc on your skin already, this just seems too aggravated. Lotions don't seem to keep it moist enough unless I'm putting lotion on every ten minutes. I was thinking that they were from a reaction to maybe a bacteria in my glove liners. I work in the commercial fishing industry as a marine biologist, so when I'm collecting samples, I'm wearing wool glove liners under rubber gloves. Once this all started I washed my liners right away, and continued to wash them once a week. I'm not a person that ever feels stressed. I live a pretty carefree life. If it's related to fatigue from working out at sea for 18 months in a two year period, then that's it... I'm very curious to see if any of you went to the doctor and what the prognosis was? What did they suggest for treatment? Any advise will help. I don't want this to get any worse! I can deal with this small patch if I have to, but don't want it to spread. Thanks for your help!
I am a 17 year old female and for the last week I have noticed the tiny bumps on my the top part of my middle finger (but NOT by the nail) and the two on my pointer finger of my right hand (in the middle of it). The do not itch, but they HURT. If I apply pressure to them, they feel as if little pins are being driven into my finger. My two fingers are slightly swollen and part of my hand has a slight ache.

I really do not want to pop them because they hurt and they look more like little miniature calluses than like pimples. At first I thought I burned my finger somehow, until I looked more closely and saw the 4-5 little bumps.
I am so glad to hear others are experiencing the same problem. I have noticed them for about 3 months now. They start off as red dots and form to a blister like and dry up. They are painful, especial when it is is a bend of my finger. I seem to only get them on the my hands.
However, the other day my husband notice one on his hand as well. Which I found to be weird considering, I have not found them to spread to any other part of my body. That is even if I pop the blister or not. I tend to leave it loan and let it go away on its own. When it does go away, it leaves a dry spot that can be peeled away.
Aye same here, its mainly on my index finger on the palm side of the hand, i've got a couple of random ones on my ring, middle fingers and thumb. I also have a rash on my elbows similar to these "spots" but its more itchy and only tends to hurt when its touched or leaned on.

The spots on my hands have blistered and are fading without treatment, the ones on my elbows have turned into a rash but it seems to be getting slowly better. Thankfully.
it really sounds like you all have eczema. i have it and i get small little water blisters all the time. i use betamethisone ointment (steroidal ointment - stops the itching) and cotton gloves at night and after a few nights it takes care of itself.
i am so comforted that i'm not alone on this. im 19 years old girl from soCal. i noticed a pump (the size of a dot) on my finger a while ago. i assumed that it'll go away on its own but its still here and it has been at least a month now. its gotten a little bit larger. it is definitely more noticeable since it is now almost the size of a rice (but round.) it is white and it looks like the skin around it is thicker. like many of you had described, it looks like a water drop under your skin. the skin around the white center is a bit red. in my case, it doesnt itch, however, it did begin to hurt as i apply pressure (on the spot and around the area) or even simply stretch my hand out immensely.

i have yet succeeded in founding any helpful research online. i really didnt want to contact a local dermotologist but i think i might have to since i have no other options.

i only have one and it doesnt seem to be spreading (hopefully i wont jinx my self.) im just afraid that its something more serious than just a stress related reaction.
I'm so glad to have found you all! I have the same thing... on my pinky and ring finger. It just happens every 2-3 months. Usually I don't even notice the blisters, and only notice once the skin is dry and flaking/peeling off, but then the skin underneath is soooooo tender (and even swollen?). The tiny blisters do not hurt or itch which is why I very rarely even notice them. It's really bad on my pinky right now and the skin even split, so it's very painful which is why I was researching ONCE AGAIN to see if I could figure out what it is. It doesn't seem to meet the descriptions of psoriasis or eczema, and by the time I could get an appointment to see a doctor, it would be too cleared up for him to tell. I've had it for several years, only on these two fingers. I do not work with any kind of chemicals. I would love to know what this is.
Hello,

I too have got the same blister like problems. This I am definatively say that it is related to stress or worry of some kind. I have had them (on and off) for nearly 2 decades now and depending on the stress level it's either isolated to the left side of my index finger on my right hand or if it's a high stress and high worry time it will appear on random fingers (but will always start in the same spot).

The solution (temporary):
As these usually are ichy, scracth them a little to turn the many smaller 'bumps' into a few large ones, then either with your fingernails or a pin, pop and remove the tiny bit of skin that covers it. Then apply a little pressure to extract the liquid (soaking it up in a tissue or other absorbant material) and then leave uncovered. The itching will usually stop a few moments later and the bumps should leave that spot for a while; but that depends on your stress level.

The solution (long-term):
So far in my searches (both self and medical) I have found little which will remedy the situation permanently, the only thing that can be done is to manage the problem. This afflication is certainly linked to your nervous system and again, depending on your stress level could be considered as your 'warning beacon' that if you don't do something to correct the stress level you could be in for more serious health problems such as break-down, or similar.

At the first signs of these appearing the best thing you can do is to take a good look at yourself. Are you getting enough "good" sleep? Are you worried about something? Is there great pressure on you at the moment? If so, you may need to adjust your situation to remedy the problem. If it's stress at work be sure to take regular breaks but if relating to a review, presentation or similar, do you homework, make sure you have all bases covered, write a checklist; anything that will help you have a more re-assured feeling in yourself.

Ultimately, the best way to look at it is that these blisters are a good thing. They are your own personal worry meter that ignores your current concious state and tells you really what your body is thinking and gives you the chance to remedy it before anything worse happens.

Good luck to you all and stop stressing! :-)
I have these, too - but I have a theory. Not one I like, mind you, but one that makes the most sense. Whenever I eat poorly (particularly excessive sugar or carbohydrates) I get them. I think it is a blood sugar issue . . . I pop mine and tear the skin off, and underneath there is alway a tiny hole underneath where the blister was. I hate these things . . .
I too have recently found that the recurring watery filled blisters are not burns from cooking! They are only on my palms and fingers and the inside skin between thumb and pointer, but not near the nail. I do wash my hands a lot. My children have warts we have been treating. My baby has a yeast infection/diaper rash on her bottom. I do use hand sanitizer. My stress level is high. I am not allergic to much of anything. The spots are pin head size and hurt only if I touch it. I popped one and it scabbed and went away, but now more are coming. (one is only an inch from there). We use the computer a lot with a mouse. Oh, and I too have recently been battling with unusual acne that doesn't respond to cleansers. IT is hard to believe that it would be eczema? I have been eating very healthy lately. And the temp here in MN is cold and dry!
Wish I new. I would hate to spread this to anyone. I wonder about a virus or maybe stress?
We all have Eczema. (pomphlyx) The tiny blisters on teh side of your pointer fingers is the best tell tail. Get a prescription from your doctor - there are plenty available
I am 41 and have had this for a long time now and have tried to find the pattern or the cause. At first I got it really bad on one finger and then over the years I noticed it where my fingers touch or rest when I am sleeping. Dyshidrotic Eczema seems to best describe what it is.
Just recently I have changed bedrooms and in this one the heat radiator is at my feet ... well a couple nights over the last few months I have woken up and my feet were almost burning hot from the radiated heat. This is different from air heat since it soaks into your body.
The other day I just happened to touch my ankle and I noticed bumps above my ankles .... larger, but, in patches like the finger bumps. This has to be the pattern. I feel that it is a combination of diet, stress and heat / sweating while sleeping brings it out in contact places like where your feet or ankles cross and where your fingers naturally rest while sleeping.

I am moving my bed and going to try everything else (diet, more rest, etc) , including socks and cotton gloves at night to see if they go away.
They are not really painful or anything, but, surely can't be good.

After much further study and reading, etc I have found time and time again that this is your body's way of cleaning toxins from itself ... which means that creams that supress this are not good ... you have to help treat the cause ... not the symptoms. In fact when you are getting these bumps you are most likely on the up swing of a period of stress, bad health, bad diet, etc and are now recovering and that is why your body is pushing the toxins out. You are not actually getting sicker when they form, you are recovering. The thing is that you need to not go to that state in your body's health in the first place.
For example, a month ago I stopped all forms of toxins in my body I could think of ... drugs, alcohol, smoking, sugars, caffene ... you name it ... I cancelled it from my life.
Guess what ... I feel better than ever and must be dextoxing ... I drink lots of water and eat healthy, etc ... and now is when the bumps have shown back up.
As a good doctor will tell you ... an asprin only stops the pain of a headache ... it doesn't cure why you got one in the first place.
There are some good web sites that talk all about these bumps and Eczema. Most seem to sugest that we are at a low risk of cancer and things like that because we push the toxins out like our bodies want to and it never gets to the point of cancer ... but, that is just assumptions ... time will tell ... and healthier living has never hurt anyone.
I just think it's important to notice that the pattern is that you get them when you are recovering and not because you are now sick somehow.

Here is a really good site all it and about getting healthy and the truth behind "cures"

wish the guy would change the banner picture though ... I do not have anything that bad.
i am in my teenage years and suddenly a little blister appeared on my left hand index finger. i didn't think much of it so i ignored it. day by day the blisters spread to the in between parts of the next two fingers and to the fingers of my other hand. i can not pop these blisters and they do not itch but the pain they cause comes and goes. the pain is worst on my left hand and this is a problem because it is the hand that i write with, but it has not affected my writing yet. can anyone tell me what is wrong so i can sort it out before it spreads even more.
I have been getting itchy little blisters on my hands for the past few years. They seem to appear in the Spring or when the weather warms up. I've tried popping them, cortisone creams and alcohol and nothing seems to help. Then I discovered by accident that taking a teaspoon of coconut oil a day will clear them up in under a week. You can buy this at a health food store. I don't know what they are, but this works for me every time.
Hi everyone! It seems like I have the same thing all of you have, just a little different. I got this same thing when I was about 9 years old and this is the first time I've had it since then (I'm 21 now). It started about a week ago and now it's in full...bubble. On every finger, except my thumb, on my right hand there are the little blister bumbs. They itch like crazy and feel hot...I keep putting anti-itch creams on them, that only helps for an hour or so...I always wake up itching them before I can remember I shouldn't. Also, I have found that if you pop them, they spread and get worse. I work at a veterinary clinic and I can't have these things on my hands! I just want to know if anyone KNOWS what causes it and how would be the best way to get rid of them fast! Please let me know...
