Go to your Doctor don't be silly.
The mucus mebrane that lines the rectum becomes irratable, so after every bowel movement it discharges mucus to protect itself, and in the process it also flushes out residue poo in that area. Use Psyllium husks - -one tablespoon in a glass of water three times a day. Psyllium husks makes for big soft poo that does not leave any marks on the toilet paper, therefore allowing the mucus membrane to heal itself. Use the psylium husk for four weeks and then reduce to one table spoon once a day.
WARNING - psyllium husk has a mild laxative effect - read tyhe instructions carefully on the packaging before you use it. Some people may be allergic to it. You will also have HUGE poos which is sometimes difficult to flush away.
Note: I have no medical experience, and the above is my personal opinion and may be totally wrong. However, psylium husk cured my problem.
I have the same problem. I am 62. I have had the problem for years, since I was in my 30's I just go back an hour latter and wipe again. I am healthy. I play soccer 4 times a week go to the gym 3 times a week and lift weights. My blood pressure is 118/72. I eat oatmeal for breakfast and a salad every night tomatoes cucumbers lettuce. I only eat meat for dinner my final meal and sometimes I don't eat meat at all.
Have you tried seeing if you are intolerant to Gluten? It does mean giving up bread, pizzas, pasta and cakes, in fact anything with flour in, but it might help. Try it for a few weeks and see if it helps. Asda and Sainsbury's do a pretty good gluten free range.
I believe the technical jargon is FISA. Frequent irritable Swamp Ass. In any event I suffer in a similar way and have been dealing with it for more than a year. This leads to an additional ailment known as SPBH, (sandpaper but-hole). After reading these comments I subscribed to the cranberry juice theory and within 3 days it seems to be working.
For me the smell, (which is what really annoys me) seems to disappear if i dont eat gluten or dairy, I have been diary free for 6 months and gluten free for 1 month, Gluten seems to be worse for the smell and the acidic burn.(this as been notice this xmas where i had gravy on my xmas dinner and a little bit of cheese and 6 cadbury heroes) Also Acidophilus probiotics seemed to help me after a few weeks. not 100% sure if it was the probiotics/gluten-free/dairy-free combo or the weather getting colder that stopped the leakage. For me the leakage seems worse when im hot and/or running and power walking. Another thing to try is after a poo dont try to squeeze every last bit out, when you crimp it, wipe and get the hell outta there. It may be piles too - i cant rule them out. sorry if my advice sounds conflicting just trying to help the best way i can.
I also eat clean for the most part, the only processed food i eat is gluten free cereals. thanks to everyone who has posted on here. I have read every post and have tried things as a result. next on my list is Psyllium Husk powder mixed with water.
By the way i still suffer from this problem, when it started in the summer it was hell, as you well know, now its better than before - still no cure though. -YET ANYWAY
Oh it also takes me a ridiculous amount of toilet paper to get clean and even then i cannot get proper clean as ten mins later i can have another few wipes and still see residue on the T.P - any advise/diagnosis/cure would be appreciated - thanks
Thanks to everyone for stating your symptoms so openly, this IS embarasing!
I've been dealing with this for about 6 months now maybe longer, I did use antibiotics a year ago, I'm 57, have a friend thats 62, he said "welcome to my world" with the same complaints most of you have stated.
At least I now know I'm not the only one dealing with this. I don't remember moma telling me this would happen!
I like the idea of fiber pills, probiotics, garlic & cranberry juice. for sure none of those can hurt! I'll give em a try
I can see that a lot of men has that same problem I have. It is so bad sometimes that I am afraid it will wet my pants through. It is just like water without smell. In my case it does not happens always, but I realized, it does when i drink coke during the day or use more sweet drinks or food. I would just wright down what I eat during the day and how it affects that problem. Eventually I would change menu to make sure. Garlic might help as it is the best antibiotic and superfood. I would try chromium picolinati (helps digest carbohydrates) and fiber. The best one by one to see if they help. Adding cinnamon to your cereal or drinks (a 1/2 teaspoon a day) or using ground flax (excellent source of nutriens and fiber) are also helpful. Unfortunately doctors have no idea what it is and most likely will not help you.
Hello, i am a 13 year old boy that sweats/leaks moisture from anus. I cant wipe it of beacuse it's like stuck to the "wall" of the anus. The sweat/moisture smells a little bit of poop if i put it on my finger, it has no colour and is only around my anus/anal. I cant get clean after bowel movements, it doesnt feel clean after bm. Sometimes it itches for 1-4 seconds and that does only happen like 1 time a day. I think the problem may be caused beacuse my anus isnt clean and then when i sweat, poop follows the sweat. I have had this problem since i was 11 and has really destroyed that time. I also have to shower the anus to get clean for a while then when i go to school and maybe walk around and sit down, the moisure/sweat comes, sorry for my bad english but please i need help! :)
Hello, I know what you have all been going through--I first found this forum as I was going through a desparate time with a bad flare up of my IBS, which I have had for decades but this time it was bad, because I was for the first time developing leakage. Being female as well that totally panicked me,
I just want to share what happened to help me..Just hoping that it may help someone else perhaps,
for some reason I came across some references to Histamine and its effect on the gut and decided to try a histamine free diet for a while. (I have tried everything else under the sun-the wheat free, the phyllium, the probiotics, you name it I've tried it) So I removed the high histamine foods,I take a dessertspoon of Black Seed Oil daily and make a smoothie of Pea sprouts for the DAO, (an enzyme that is lacking in the gut of people who cant deal well with Histamine)--you can also buy the DAO as a supp if you want to try it-iDAO is also in Pig Kidney I believe-
6 weeks later and have normal BMs, no cramps, no wind, and most exciting for me no leakage-only once had a relapse when I ate tomato and eggs (the white is suspect)..not sure if the pea shoots and Black Seed Oil do anything, but the avoidance of high Histamine containing foods certainly is the key to it for me. Just posting this in case it helps someone out there-believe me I know what you go through with this problem...good luck to everyone , try googling histamine and IBS, there is lots of info out there that might help
