Hey i have had the same problem my whole life, an not until last year that i knew how to fix it. When summer comes i suggest you first try by cutting out greasy and gas producing foods. Next step is get busy do some cardio, and get in a hot jacuzzi once a week if u can. Since there is no known cure for this no matter how many doctors u visit u have to live with it and just try to ease the symptoms.

In Chinese Medicine, this can be a condition of "cold in the stomach". If someone in your region specializes in Chinese medicine they can provide acupuncture or chinese herbs to help balance your body. Things to avoid: foods that are "cold" in nature. salads, raw vegetables, dairy, cold drinks, smoothies. Cook your vegetables because it's easier on your digestion. I recommend this especially if you are prone to stabbing Pain type of cramps during your period.

seems like exsessive gas in the belly is strongly noticed when cold air hits the stomach or bare feet. I've been dealing with this for my whole life and I'm only 21 years old it makes me miserable. I also deal with horrible indigestion, heart burn, nausea and migraines everyday of my life. At times my stomach will cramp from cold air when I first wake up and I will take a poop and put on my warm robe.. but then minutes later my stomach will start sweating .. Then my whole body will sweat like I'm working out when I'm simple doing nothing and the next second I will start freezing again and I'd have to take another poop... this is every single morning of my life it's insane I can never wake up and just leave the house. I've gotten an endoscopy and nothing has come up and I have yet to do a colonoscopy but I just don't know I just want to be happy and healthy this has been making me lose weight especially because of the constant nausea and migraines my mom would tell me I get that because my body is hungry but sometimes after I eat the migraine gets even WORSE. I need a miracle I just want my body to feel normal and not I'm pain and sick every single day if I don't have pain which is like once every 3-4 weeks it's like the best day ever for me I wish everyday was like that.

Laid here right now with my back up against my partners trying to get my back warm. Told years ago it's known as a cold in the back or cold in the kidneys. I'm in the UK and it's when I have a fan on in the summer of a window open and my bank gets cold when I throw the covers off. Wake up with a dire urge to empty my bowels and end up stuck on the toilet for an hour. Only thing that helps is to get my lower back warm. My hands, a hot water bottle, my partners body.... Any way possible. Dismissed by all medics I've mentioned it to so I deal with it the best I can. But yes it definitely is a thing and I curse myself every time I forget to keep my back warm

Yes I have suffered from this for I would say about 10 years I am now 33. What happens is if im in a warm environment and try to cool down with a fan it " curdles " my stomach its stars with very uncomfortable pain in my very lower stomach area and it only goes away once I use the washroom and have extreme diarrhea until my stomach contents are totally emptied. My advice is be very aware of your temperature controls. If you go to bed with a fan on you make sure its not on too high a setting or it can trigger the symptoms. Another thing that can make it happen is if you eat too much right before you go to bed.

I'm from Philippines and I have the same problem when I told my bf about it he thinks I'm crazy and making things up, I'm glad I am not the only one suffering this, I remember when I was a kid in Philippines older people will say don't get a air breeze in your stomach because you'll get a stomach ache, it's been happening alot to me lately and it sucks.

I have these same problems with colon cramps when I am exposed to cold - especially air condition. I live in Atlanta Georgia and wear socks year round. My hands, feet and nose are always cold. I find that hot showers, a heating pad, and ginger root and licorice root tea helps but it sometimes takes a few days if I have been exposed to A/C over a long period of time. A doctor shared with me many years ago that those of us with a low body temp (mine is about 96) will have this problem and will be more vulnerable to various diseases. This is because our bodies can not raise the temperature enough to ward off the disease. So, I take 2 to 3 hot showers - ending with a brief cold water - a day. I dress and keep my hands and feet warm even in the summer....because of the A/C. I am going to add the Tiger Balm or Efficascent Oil too. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Rita, that is interesting! I must check my body temperature and see if your dr's comment adds up. Heating feet is important, but thighs as well as I am learning (hence grannies with blankets on their laps) as they are the biggest muscle in the body and loose heat quickly. But yes the tummy likes to keep warm inside and out. For a while I used a band that was actually pregnancy support, nice and warm! Now I live in the tropics and don't need it. Wherever I go I sneakily or outright turn the aircon to 27 Celsius, good enough to keep cool in 35 degrees but not too cold to get cramps. And of course avoid fans.
