You guys need to google cold Urticaria
I have the same thing as all of you ever since I've been a small boy I just recently saw the gastro dr. Who suggested that this is something genetic mostly found in Mediterranean cultures he also told me to wear wool socks year round as having cold feet causes diarrhea and stomach pains I was supposed to take a blood test but never got the chance to do so this being said it is very very annoying hope this helps others and finding the exact problem.
I have the same thing and I went to so many doctors and they say nothing was wrong with me. Glad I'm not the only one.
That's true--when cold air has invaded the body, the only way to drive it out is by using warmth. A warm cloth or hot water bottle, even a thick blanket helps. Turn off the A/C if you have it on, or if using an electric fan, make sure not to have it blasted directly at you. Also wear layered warm, comfortable clothes.
It's definitely not viral nor bacterial. Western doctors don't know everything.

Oh, before I forget--sipping hot water (as hot as I could stand) helped me immensely. I don't drink cold water now, only tepid and warm water.
I have the same thing. Did you find out what it was??

I hope my answers helps.....I sometimes have the same problem.....the way we get it is when we shower....its usually with hot water and if we take too long showering we start breathing less. Then by the time we get out of the shower we aren't breathing as we should be (even though we think we are). So my suggestion is don't shower with water hot enough that it looks like your taking a steam bath. While in the shower don't forget to breath. And if you still have the pain I suggest going to your bed lay down, face up and start moving your knees up and down with big inhales and exhales. Should be gone in about 10 min.

Wow i have the exact same pain in my kidney area, and I believe the previous poster is correct. It makes sense because shallow breathing causes what is called respiratory acidosis. Your kidneys (renal function) are what your body uses to compensate for your overabundance of CO2. This may be why pain is felt in the kidney area. Possibly they are working overtime to fix the problem. Amazing nobody has studied this yet.
I am also a 25 year old healthy male. Same problem.

guyz dont worry i am having the same proble right now ... so i entered this thread ... its isnt anything to worry about .. just keep yourself warm .. today in the morning i woke up and suddenly confronted this situatuion this is not the first time this happens each time i expose myself to cold air or cool breeze
Don't worry, In our Arab culture this is known as a cold chill. it causes abdominal cramps, gas & sometimes diarrhea & constant pain. it may last for days, this is due to walking barefoot on a cold surface or due to a cold air hit your stomach. The remedy is easy.. heat olive oil, cumin & mix with Vapor Rub then rub it to your stomach and on the bottom of your feet, then wear a heavy socks before sleeping. in addition I recommend taking hot drinks like ginger with anise.
Hey people. Finally, what a relief to find similar people who suffer from this. I had this since I can remember. It is usually triggered by cold air hitting my stomach mostly in Winter when I sleep and dont cover up properly. I also get it in summer when I am active and sweating and cold air hits me as well, however it really depends on the day and if my stomach is sort of exposed. When it does happene I get s severe stomach cramp followed by a 100 m dash to the toilet.
Is there a diagnosis/name for this beside stomach chills? We know about this in my Arabic culture but not many doctors can actually relate or talk in depth about this problem. Makes me feel weird to always ask and get clueless responses.

Oh my god. Just recently, I got a stomach cramp. Usually, where I live, it's warm almost all year. But there was this suddenly winter in my parts and I'm experiencing really bad stomach cramps for the firat time! I hope this doesn't last long...
I get exactly the same thing! The cramps are horrible and last up to 12 hours.
What kind of therapy did he give you?
Do you ever get uncontrollable vomiting with this cramping?
Yes ik how it feels I have it too...it happens to me wen it gets cold in the middle of the night my parents don't believe me but it hurts a lot .....
