I am on NO medications but I had a minor surgery to marcupialize bartholin cysts about a year and a half ago which required me to take antibiotics. I gained a lot of weight after and it took about a year for me to get my energy levels back to normal.
I'm not sure if it's related but I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has a similar recent history.
Maybe the 2 year relationship has something to do with it?
hormonal imbalance
pH imbalance down there
poor nutrition (leads to pH imbalance)
allergies (to latex condoms or semen)-these can be easily solved through use of condoms/change in type of condom
Here's how we can fix this:
Reduce consumption of: sugar, alcohol and wheat.
Take probiotics (acidophilus) OR eat yogurt daily
take boric acid
see a nutritionist if necessary!!!
wash out the vagina with baking soda or peroxide which I am skeptical about because I KNOW that douching/cleaning inside the vagina can ultimately cause EXCESS discharge
My story: I am 18, I've had thick clumpy discharge for about a month or two. I haven't been getting my period and I am afraid to have sex because this condition is so embarrassing! I've started taking a 3 day yeast infection treatment, although after reading these posts I am convinced that the reason this occured was because I recently went on a strict vegan diet, in fact I stopped getting my period and I believe that my diet caused my hormones to get all out of whack. So although it isn't vegan I will start eating yogurt daily and take my own advice. I'll post my progress later. Good luck to you all ladies!
It's really frustrating that after reading 19 pages of posts, you can only find people experiencing the same problem for years without any medical solution.
My wife is also suffering from the same condition. She is 30 years old and she's never used any sort of BC pills. We usually use condom (same product for over 5 years). We were pretty happy with our sex life until some minor yeast infection happened and normally treated accordingly. After a while she started complaining of dryness, itching, etc. Her family doctor asked for a vaginal flora test and found no particular issues. He administered some sort of probiotic suppositories to releive her from previous symptoms. But it was the onset of a bigger problem..
After applying that probiotic the white, thick, acidic discharge started coming out of her vagina, not only but especially during sex. I try not to complain but she feels embarrassed all the time. It was quite sour once I did an oral job and it really burns my penis when remained all over the place. The only option we had was to use a douche right before sex at least to make it happen. It's not definitely a permanent solution and we are seeking for some reliable treatment. Since she had a really bad experience with her family doctor, she went to another doctor. But she cannot trust others as well. Our only suggestion for readers is that "be carefull about probiotics too". They may turn to your main concern if not administered right.
Boric acid is a very mild acid of boron (which is alkaline). Of all the things I've tried, this has been the most successful with no irritation whatsoever. I highly suggest trying it.
I had this exact problem, and when I found this website I was so pleased to see it wasn't just me. I used an anti-fungal pessary treatment, Canestean Pessary, and it cleared it up with in a week. Completely back to how I used to be. I was tested for thrush at the doctors and it came back negative, but it worked non the less!
I have posted here as a guest a while ago & i have had this for a year now. Boric acid helps but it's seems to be a temporary fix. Can you tell me how long the tindamax & terazole has worked for you? & how long did you have the wall of goo (perfect description) before u took the meds? Thanks for listing your dr's name. I will be paying him a visit. I just would be so happy to have this gone forever. Thx 4 the post and any other posts. This is something that really causes stress & problems in a lot of women's lives & drs don't seem 2 care but this is not normal.
