I had the treatment March this year. No periods absolutely fantastic. Pain & cramps in the beginning but the only complaint now is the odour and it's not just a monthly cycle it can happen several times within the month. From what I've researched online their doesn't seem to be much news since 2007. The outcome for most then was a full hysterectomy. I haven't the time to do this hence the reason for the treatment in the 1st place. Does anybody have a solution I'm willing to try anything?

I had the EA in 2007 I believe. Something went wrong during the procedure. I was in a lot of pain. Things went well for a few months before I started having excruitiating pain. It took forever for the doctor to realize I had blood building up in my uterus. Had a hysterectomy,, cleared 6 weeks later had sex...BV REARS it’s ugly head. Read. Researched. Trial and error before finally seeing relief. I used a hydrogen and distilled water douche twice a day, boric acid caps and Homemade suppositories all while taking probiotics, folic acid, vitamin C and B12. After a month of taking all the pills , five days of the douches and 3 nights of the suppositories, I received some relief. I do not use OTC fungal meds and if the doctor prescribes antibiotics for any reason I demand diflucan and immediately begin probiotics. Once the ph gets off it requires o do all of those steps again! Therefore, I’m very careful about what goes in or out of my body! This has been awful...and to see all of the suffering post Nova Sure is even worse. I wasn’t informed of all of that!!

I have searched for so long to see if anyone else has experienced what I experience after my ablation. I had mine done July 2016. Ever since, it feels like a razor blade is being shoved inside me when my boyfriend and I have sex. The pain is sometimes unbearable.
I also have severe pain in and below my pelvic area when I bend over. I can’t do any ab workouts or bend over and tie my shoes with out excruciating pain.
I have an odd smell to me now, and it drives me absolutely insane. Not to mention the 40lbs I gained!!!. I would rather have heavy periods than to deal with the changes I have had since the ablation. Anyone else have weight gain ?

I had NovaSure in 2015. There is definitely a connection. After every light period I have, causes bacterial vaginosis. I have yet to get rid of the yeast month to month. I'm always current on my doctors visits, there is nothing they really can do to cure the problem but give women flagyl, metrogel, and medication for yeast infections.
Doctors probably wont admit a relation for fear of lawsuits. Clearly a disruption of the uterus lining by laser apparently causes this and hopefully will cure over time.

I don't think it will cure over time. I've had this for 10 years and I NEVER had ANY kind of infection for my whole life until after the ablation

Most definitely is the cause of the ablation I had mine done 7 yrs ago and still get bv and yeast infections all the time and it's embarrassing and very depressing so don't think it's going away bc it's not doc leave this part out and your left talking the nasty meds

I had this procedure in October of this year. Have never had any type of odor but now am plagued with it. I have tried the probiotic and the soaking in apple cider vinegar. It is horrible. I get no relief and after going through a terrible divorce and finally having a great boyfriend, i am now so embarrassed at all times because of the odor. I need help, what to do. i really can't afford a hysterectomy because of the lack of good insurance that will cover this for no medical reason. HELP

I found that using vitamin C tabs inserted as high as you can get in the vagina for approx. 3 consecutive nights will balance the ph and gives you a lovely orange smell instead. There are prescription drugs that do the same but the main component is vit c 500mg, a lady posted it on youtube years ago and I was so desperate I tried it ..it works ! just wear a thick panty liner cause you'll get orange discharge ..but its pleasant !

I just had it last month and I started smelling the odor within 2 weeks. Like you I didn't have time for the hysterectomy but it looks like I'm going to have to eventually. I hope, that with so many of us having this problem, there is something that can be done to fix this defect.
