I had the surgery Dec 2015 and am now going through the same issues. My dr keeps prescribing me meds and the next month it reoccurs the process starts over. This is annoying and depressing. Have you found a remedy?

I had my D&C with Novasure in November of 2015. I still have my periods, just not quite as heavy as they used to be (but still heavy), and I have this terrible odor, and discharge, I have to wear a panty liner every day (unless I am on my period, then I wear pads and tampons). I also have more discharge than what I used to have. I too would not have had it done and would have opted for the hysterectomy instead.

I recently had an ablation and was satisfied with the results until this foul odor came. It comes quite often and now I'm thinking about a hysterectomy. What did you decide to do about your hysterectomy?

I had an ablation 10 months ago. i haven't had any bleeding & occasionally i get mild pain. However, not long after the procedure, whenever i go to the toilet i can smell burnt cells. it's worse when i would normally have my period. I didn't consider this to be an infection or yeast, as i have no pain or discharge, but possibly... wt? This is so wrong. i don't want to smell like a burning tyre. I'm seeing the gyno soon to tell him. i've read here that some cannot get rid of the smell - years later. That's ridiculous. Also many people are having recurring pains and infections. Don't get this procedure if you are considering it. Has anyone got rid of the smell? if i can't get rid of it i'm considering a hysterectomy. i'm 45. This ablation has been a huge mistake.

Don't know if you have seen my previous posts but I put up with it for a year no more hysterectomy done now BEST thing & only thing that will cure smell discharge etc the burnt womb will keep sloughing off & trying to repair & bacterial vaginitis follows 500 mg vitamin c just one inserted at night will help cure the imbalance do for about a week you'll smell like oranges instead of rotting flesh good luck girls !

I too am contemplating a hysterectomy. I cannot take this foul odor anymore. I thought it was just me who could smell the pungentness until I entered the office, break room, and classroom. I went from the cleanest human being to the dirtiest creature on Earth. Now to add to my misery, I have lightened periods but severe cramps. I literally felt like I was in labor. If I knew then what I know now, I would have said, "No!!!" to the ablation and yes to hysterectomy or continued heavy periods once a month. At least I knew my monthly fate. This is awful!!! If anyone is thinking about ablation, DON'T!!! It's the worst remedy for heavy periods. I'm all cried out... Hysterectomy here I come

I am reading your post and it sounds like you had a hysterectomy. Was it successful??? If yes, then there's hope for me and others out there. The healthcare field is making money off of the frequent visits to the dr office. I'm leaning towards a hysterectomy because the inconsistent periods with labor pains, and funky garbage vaginal odor is driving me insane, literally!!! I can't anymore...
If anyone has had this watery foul smelling discharge following the ablation, please tell me when will it all end?!?!?!

Did the partial hysterectomy help? How do you feel since the bee surgery? Was it worth it? I'm thinking about having a hysterectomy too.

I am in Scotland & had this ablation done last Monday (20th June) along with sterilisation. I've been in years since Friday morning with this stinking fluid that leaks! Breaking my heart reading all these posts too. Like many others, wish I had came across this forum before I had this done. I had such a good sex life with my partner..but got a feeling that's gone now. Feel sick to the stomach. Did anyone have a raging temp, shivering, feeling flu like along with the BV? I feel so bad today. And so sad to think this is what my life will be now...smelling disgusting with no sex life. Thanks for reading..much love from Scotland xx

Did you get the hysterectomy done? Had that helped you? Is the foul odor gone? What about the watery discharge? I'm thinking about a hysterectomy myself. Please help!

Why are they still doing this operation, honestly are all us women lying on here and have nothing better to do ..NO cause its all true, whether you're in Scotland UK , USA or Australia WE are all getting the same results..THIS OP DOESNT WORK !!..We should be suing their arses off for malpractice !!!. HYSTERECTOMY IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL GET RID OF THE SMELL. I've done it I'm so glad and my heart goes out to the women who cant afford to get this op :(

I can't believe the amount of people that have posted that they have bacterial and or yeast infections following ablation. I'm very susceptible to you soon factions already I don't need an increase. I appreciate everybody's honesty and can't believe that this hasn't been linked to the surgical procedure. Is the medical industry in denial? Several years ago I was getting recurrent infections and my OBgyn told me it was BV and kept treating me for that with MetroGel which with and causing you some faction and I was in agony and suffered for three years. They sent me to a specialist and Rod Chester who told me I did not have BB and treated me for chronic yeast that was the first time I had relief In 3 long yrs. so my suggestion is keep seeking help from specialists even if you have to go out of town and so you get the help you need. Doctors can be wrong and happens all the time. Good luck & God bless!!
