I'm really surprised not doctor has told you the bloating could be dietary. I have not had any bloating since I gave up both gluten and dairy,
Give up Gluten and Dairy for 4 weeks. (Milk, cheese, etc. from an animal contains casein). Then you can introduce one back, eating a little 3 times a day, for 1 week and write down your symptoms. If no symptoms, introduce the other back for 1 week, again eating a little 3 times a day and keeping a diary of your symptoms. You will know almost immediately which is causing causing your bloating. Gluten and dairy are very common causes. Substitute bread with Franz Gluten Free Great Seed Bread (at most stores, including Fred Meyer, QFC, etc.) or one of the other 2 Franz offers. There are other brands, but I feel Franz tastes the best. OR make "life changing bread" at ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of web addresses is not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use Replace dairy, with coconut, almond, cashew, or any you like from the store. You can even buy Coconut Bliss and Cashew milk ice cream in many stores. Really amazing. CocoYo is a fairly new coconut milk yogurt and keifer that is delicious and contains millions of probiotic bacteria that benefit your gut. Look online for distributors. Hope that helps!

Read the posting I just made on gluten and dairy. It is clear that when you don't eat, it goes away. This indicates a dietary issue!

I'm 5'2 15 and weigh 110lbs. I have always been skinny but recently my stomach is sticking out so far I look pregnant despite remaining skinny everywhere else. I workout every day and for the past two weeks haven't eaten any sugar or bread and usually eat very healthy (I'm vegetarian). If I pinch my stomach for fat very little comes up but it still sticks out even when I'm starving. I don't understand what's going on.

Hey-- looks like this was a while ago so hope you're well and strong and you probably have figured this out already, but I'm in almost the exact same situation as you and I found that "recovery belly" is so real... It's really normal for all the fat to collect in your stomach for the first few months of recovery, but with time it'll redistribute to where it's supposed to be (both as fat and muscle... and personally I like to think strength training seemed to speed this up too). Since you posted 1) as a guest and 2) a yr ago you may not see this and/or find it helpful but just wanted to share bc I was happy to read an experience that related so well to my own and also in the chance this might be helpful for someone else. Sending love and wishes of health and strength to everyone
