Vibrations in chest

I have the exact same thing it started 2 days ago like a cell phone on vibrate. It was on the left side behind my left breast on and off on Sunday. On Monday it went to the right side almost under the right breast. It is getting more persistant. I had my pace maker checked and it showed nothing. I had a chest exray done am still waiting for that report. But it is baffling I also have no pain but it is a little scary because I did have a heart attack and the back of my heart is dead. It does not keep me awake as it is so soft that I had to stop and think what was that did I really feel that or did I imagine it? Keep the posts coming in because my Doctors are baffled.

Gus Gonzalez, Visalia: I was in the hospital for 8 days after I was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home with antibiotics. Told to follow- up in two days if I wasn't better. After a few follow-ups I was hospitalized for 8 days. Two months later diagnosed with Valley Fever and still not better. I have been getting these vibrations on my left side of my chest and always check if it's my cellphone. it feels like my cell phone but it's not it.
Know a guy who had chest spasms...even spent the night in a hospital twice, had everything checked out, blood work & scans. He went to a different Dr. who thought he was having a heart attack. Finally went to a smarter Dr who prescribed a $10 muscle relaxer. Within a few days all his spasms went away and he has had none for several years now.

I had vibrations on the left side of my chest for about one year and I always thought that they were from my cell phone but recently I realised that they were inside my skin. I stopped drinking coffee and eating chocolate and I have never had the vibrations since then. I read on the web that a doctor suggested cutting out caffeine to stop these vibrations. It worked for me and I hope it will work for you. Stuart

Clearly you have hit upon the correct answer !

I have that feeling in my left chest too. Mine feels like a rat is moving around my heart. And I can feel its body's vibration. I also feel Iike something is going out and coming in under my arm pits. It could be a genie.
I too have been experience a weird buzzing, vibration sensation in the left deep breast/chest area increasing in frequency to the point of being very annoying. My initial thought when I felt it was that my cell phone was there and set on vibrate, or my new BellaBeat, (similar to a FitBit tracking device that's worn), alarm was vibrating to tell me that I had been inactive for too long. 63 yr old female with no cardiac history, (mild hypertension), and trying to stay relatively active with my level of degenerative disc disease. My electrolytes are perfect and heart rate seems normal, usually in the 60's. Have not picked up PVCs. I was shocked to read tons of posts on various websites with identical descriptions. A number of people were wearing Fitbits- though no info yet on Bellabeats. But the symptoms are identical and no physicians seem to be able to diagnose. In retrospect, this did start since I got my new Bellabeat within the last month and has worsened within the last week or so. Two weeks ago, I started wearing the Bellabeat on the top neckline of my nightshirt so it is directly against my chest all night and clipped at my waist against my stomach to get more accurate readings during the day. I've read recommendations to try and limit/stop direct contact with Wifi connected devices and see if it stops. For a number of people who have posted, that solved the problem. My husband, a physician, is skeptical but also has no other idea what this might be. Cardiologist next door says the same. I have seen it lumped under the "electromagnetic hypersensitivity syndrome" issues, which of course have not been proven as a valid diagnosis. All I know is that I've never felt anything like this before and it does happen to coincide with wearing this and so I will go without and see if it stops.
I wouldn't worry so much. I have had these for decades, on and off. Doctors didn't know the answers, despite xrays and other tests. I self-diagnosed it as possible allergies, as it seems to occur mostly during winter (indoor) months. Get xrays done to rule out a lung condition like pneumonia but keep in mind a lot of these vibrations are not serious. Just get more fresh air and it should eventually dissipate.
ive been to see gp about the same thing an he said it is a nerve murmer
Dear Guest-This is not allergic in nature except for perhaps that EHS is occasionally referred to as electromagnetic allergy. Has nothing to do with amount of fresh air, or lung conditions, nor thyroid, electrolytes, cardiac arrythmia, nerves, stress, caffeine/alcohol use, nor other conditions. This is a very specific sensation that has never been reported to physician. I've been in the medical field for about 40 years now. Husband, a physician, is currently in agreement with current diagnosis since removal of the 24 hour wifi connected activity monitor stopped the vibrating cell phone sensation almost immediately.
I believe that you are describing a Still's murmur which is the closest thing I can think of to layman's term "nerve murmur". A Still's murmur is a very benign condition that is not the same as a cardiac murmur. It's does not show up on an EKG. But it can be heard with a stethoscope which is how the diagnosis is made. That's not the case with what I'm describing. It is also not a visible or palpable muscle fasciculation that several people have described,( that would be impacted by caffeine, stress, nerves, musculoskeletal fatigue, electrolyte imbalance, thyroid disorders) and could potentially be improved by fixing those things and possibly stopped by a muscle relaxer. None of those are the case with me. My symptom has been described now by numerous people wearing Fitbit, Garmin, Bellabeat or other brands of worn 24/7 mobile Wifi connected devices including cell phones. In my case, cell phone was typically in my hip pocket while the clip on Bellabeat was directly in contact with my waist or chest. It had awakened me from sleep before as well because I thought that someone was calling me on my cell phone. I was in a surgi-center when the intensity and frequency drastically occurred that made me concerned. Husband feels it's possible that the wifi connectivity was higher in the unit there. This side effect clearly does not occur with everyone. But in some people-like me-there seems to be a hypersensitivity to the EM waves. I would like to continue with my Bellabeat since I'm trying to make certain that my activity level and sleep duration is at an acceptable level, so am starting a retry today. Our thoughts are, this shouldn't be permanently harmful even if I have the vibrating sensation but I have recently read of a case where it progressed to chronic headache, nausea, and fatigue. We have no good controlled studies done on the effects of these types of devices other than some smaller ones regarding cancers of the head area from cell phone use. So it needs further study.
I now realise that quite a few people have this same sensation. It started with me about 2 weeks ago and have been baffled by it. My hìstory is that i have atrial fibrllation but i don't think this is related to it. Early this year i was in a car accident and have been recovering from cartillage damage across the left side of my chest. That seems to be healing now but now this new sympton has appeared. Had xrays earlier in the year but nothing else showed. All i can think of is that it could be muscle tissue damage or nerve damage. It would be good to know what it is. If doctors are looking at this site please help.
Hey everyone. This started with me a couple of years ago ... went away and now it's back. Right in the left breast and feels (with much lower intensity) like a cell phone vibration. Comes and goes and lasts a second or two when it happens. Frequency variable. Not brought on or exacerbated by any particular position or movement. Not brought on by foods and not relieved by simethicone (anti-gas) or anti-acid.
First thing to do is to ensure that it's not cardiac in nature and this is very important. Check your pulse and O2 Sat. Make sure that it is not irregular and your O2 Sat is in the high 90s. Make sure your heart rate isn't abnormally high. I even went and had my cardiac enzymes checked along with an ECG and Chest X-Ray. I also recently had a Chest CT. All negative.
I spoke to my regular doctor today about it (who happens to be a pulmonologist). After listening to me and asking a few questions, he told me that I can keep trying to find a cause if I want, but I will never find one. It is likely to be neurological, but not the kind of thing you can trace back to a particular specific issue. You can try drugs like Gabapentin (for neuropathies) but this may be worse than tolerating the sensation itself.
I too have been having this " vibrating cell phone) sensation for the past two days....I wonder what it is.....is it stress? or as simple as a muscle spasm???? Are there Any Dr.'s who know what this is?
I came to this forum looking for answers. I've been working out for the last 4 weeks and my left breast has been buzzing for the last week periodically like a faint cellphone. I'm guessing it's a muscle as I've been doing pushups regularly.
