Hi all,

I seem to have something similar to some of you. I have no idea what it is either and its really been freaking me out. I've never been sick for so long (almost a month). My symptoms are: constant low fever, drainage in back of throat, sinus pain/headache, neck and back pain (which could be from anxiety or sitting in bed so much), recently muscle aches in arms and shoulders and legs, dizziness, occasional blurry vision, stomach churning, some diarrhea but not often, and some others that all come and go. The fever is constant. Been to the doctor 3 times and they've done urine and blood test which both came back normal. I've had stomach issues in the past so initially I thought it was a stomach virus or the flu, but it just hasn't gone away. The past few days I've had stomach issues in the morning and had to go to the bathroom pretty urgently, felt okay during the day, then a mild headache each night. I'm taking a bunch of vitamins and stuff for allergies and sinuses because I had awful allergies for 2 weeks right before this thing began. It started with the fever and have had a bunch of changing symptoms ever since, some of which I attribute to all my anxiety over being sick. All 3 doctors that I've seen have said it is a virus but I'm worried I'm waiting on it to go away but really giving some terrible illness time to get worse. It's truly maddening. Thank you all for sharing - it's nice to google my symptoms and be reassured instead of convinced I'm dying, even though I will still worry.

Iv had exactly the same thing was starting to wonder what was wrong with me. Thought it was a cold now iv been dizzy, nauseas, loss of appetite, body ache , fever etc & iv had the flu shot but it’s now been 4weeks and know many people with it and also some with gastro. It’s annoying no energy trying to soldier on so your definitely not alone.

Got this in March. Lasted 5 weeks. Fine until 4 weeks ago. It's like it came back for no known reason. Son and I have it. He's three days behind me in progression of symptoms. Neck glands swollen and it shows on the outside. Inside we both have nodules in the back of our throats that are engorged. Submaxiliary glands for certain. It started in temples with pressure, led to sinus congestion, fever on and off, chills that hurt, foul swelling gas and mucus in nostrils, joints "popping" "cracking" constantly, usually I have a flat tummy but now it's swollen, my son and I have extreme fatigue, the swelling also occurs in places where women store fat: under arms, bra strap area in back, around the knees. Urine comes out strong odor no matter how much water drunk, my kidneys ache. It's weird. Mono test negative. Klebsiella ozenae and pnumonea both negative. Cfs-negative. We were told it's a virus too. But what kind? We do oregano oil, vit c, green teas, raw garlic, etc and still this persists. Im a ballet dancer and can't work right now.

I had all that off and on for years until I recently had an endoscopy and they biopsied me because of the presence of inflammation and low and behold biopsy showed H-pylori infection

Does anyone feel they've had unexplained weight gain with this thing?

Yes a lot of weight gain and swelling too.

How do you get rid of H-pylori infection? What is that?

I just looked up H pylori infection. My son and i dont have abdominal pain and we have sinus congestion and swollen neck glands. Web md didn't list those for symptoms. Did you have the congestion and swollen lymph neck lands? If it's ulcer and stomach related, Im not sure it would cause nasal congestion???

My wife and i are having the same symptoms. We are going into the end of the 3rd week and i am wondering if this thing will ever finish it course. At the end of the second week i thought i was over it for a day or 2 then the whole thing came back with a vengeance. I did get a flu shot when i was at the doctor for something else at the beginning when i was just coming down with it. I thought that might have been the cause but i guess it is just a bug with stamina.
