I get injections once per week. I am doing a high energy low fat program, meaning the majority of my calories are coming from healthy carbs (no desserts, but fruits, veggies, potatoes, and pasta are all allowed). I think the composition of your diet will depend on your specific program and what your doctor says.

I have been in the b12 injection program and had lost little at a time weight. but my main question is I have been injecting my self with b12 everyday is this correct? or can I just take a shot once a week or even once a month?
you are only supposed to have a monthly injection of b12
I get injections every 4 days, and I have lost weight, with excersize and amino acids, along with healthy meats such as fish and Chicken and veggies, if you are trying to loose weight you can eat anything white, rice, patatoes, bread, pasta none of it...... No carrots they turn to sugar, no juices, fresh steamed veggies. Lots of water, the shots help only with energy and inches..

I am trying to take the vitamin b 12 in an injection form, however, i am not sure what the right type is? Or how much of it
(1cc??) and is the vitamin b 12 just one strength? Like milligrams? Not sure .

HOw much did you weigh when you started? I just had a baby and I am trying to lose the stubborn baby fat.
I have been going to a doctor and receiving 4 shots a month, to bring home and get 1 each week. I also received Phentermine 15mg to take 2 times a day. I have been doing this now for 2 months and have lost almost 40 pounds. I have more energy, I used to take a nap every evening after getting home from work now I don't. I am up moving alot, just like I have to be doing something.
Initially I wasn't comfortable with the thought of getting "the Dart in the Butt" Despite being overweight I worked out a lot since my job required it, but I still experienced fatigue and felt worn out all the time. Finally I had enough and I gained the courage to meet with the Doc who recommended I start getting the B6/ B12 combo it starts out once a week for the first month and then once monthly afterwards. It was all done in one shot. The B-12 part was easy, but standby when it comes to the B6...it stung o.O my butt was sore for about 15 minutes afterwards then the pain subsided.
All in all my energy and concentration levels are incredible. I actually was able to get back to working out in fact my cardio alone is one hour! :-D

I am getting the B-12 shot for the first time tomorrow. I've been reading and some people are talking about B-6 shots as well. Do they aid in weight loss too? Does anyone have any ideas on what to do when you get off the pills and shots or will you continue to take them?
What about PREGNYL with the vit. Have you heard of that. I just started that today. I was useing 15mg. of Phentermine with Topomax lost 30lb. in 3-4 mo. but not working any more for me.
I have actually done the Vit B injections for weight loss and lost 20lbs over about 8-10weeks. It increases the metabolism. You are obviously supposed to exercise and eat healthy but I was basically just doing the shots. You can get them in 1cc or 2cc increments, for the most part I only did 1cc shots but did increase it to 2 at the end. Then I got pregnant and stopped the regimen. But it does work, however my nurse practitioner told me that Vit B supplements (pills) are just as effective and less costly! Good luck!
Post to ACV Newby...You are paying way too much! The nurse at my doctors office showed me how to give myself B-12 Injections. It is easy. The B-12 from the pharmacy was less than $5.00 for 6 months! The syringes were 30 cents a piece and alcohol swabs $2.12 - that's it! I was diagnosed with lack of B-12 which caused me to be very fatigued and short of breath upon exertion (fast walking).
May I suggest to all.. Being overweight is not the problem....eating healthy and being healthy is. Try just taking good care of yourselves...counting calories is good. My son took me to weight watchers last week...He and I both want to loose about 30 pounds. I have been eating their meals...actually one for lunch and one for breakfast when I don't have time to make a healthy breakfast. I snack on cheese, cottage cheese, dry popcorn, olives, carrots, apples...things that are healthy. If we go to healthy eating and cut out the junk food...we will loose weight and feel good in the process. Good habits should be the goal and the weight loss will naturally follow.
Be good to yourself...good health should be everyone's primary goal. : )

you can learn how to give yourself injections by going to www.mydietsolutions.com good luck :?
How much are you injecting daily?
I just received my first injection from my doctor and am hopeful it will help with energy, thyroid function and eventually weight loss.
It's expensive here though. For those who are injecting themselves... how are you managing? Is it tough to do so (in the butt).
Where have you been purchasing your b12?

ok, I have a long health history, WAY to long and boring for on here... but my doctor has had me on HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and is now putting me on daily b12 injections. I havent even thought what to expect from the combo until i read this..I had no idea that B12 was also a weight loss idea... the hgh im on builds muscle (i went through some stuff, lost quite a bit of muscle and therefore in wheelchair) the b12 im going to start tommorow is supposed to be daily for nervous system repairment. I dont need weight loss, i had gastric bypass for that..Im worried that a muscle builder and a "weight loss" shot will have me eventually looking like a "man".. help me out.. what do you think?????
What you have to understand is that B12 is strictly only for energy. Potassium reduces the body's ability to consume B12 but it does help binding fat. The only way this works with weight loss is if you are watching what you eat, PORTION sizes and continuing to exercises regularly. I did Dr. Bernstein for 4 months and while I agree that it works, it is largely based on a diet of 700-800 calories per day which is unsustainable. When you are eating healthy and mainting a diet of 1200-1500 calories (which is normal) the B12 injections will assist you with your energy levels to exercise regularly and get the good sleep that you need. You can buy it over the counter at a local pharmacy - but you should be instructed on how to inject yourself. In Canada its about $15 for a vial that has 30ml and you only inject 1ml every few days, or once per week. The needles cost the most - .25 - 1.00 each depending where you buy them. 25 gauge 1 and 1/2" is the size you will need. Don't waste any more money at Dr. B, unless you really need the lecture every other day about what you ate. You can eat healthy and do this yourself along with common sense and exercise.
