If you are starting out, trim your fingernails and use an Emory board to sand then smooth. It doesn't matter which finger you use as long as it can go in far enough to massage the prostate. Lubricant for this is pretty much just to get started. KY, Silicone lube, as long as it isn't a hand creme that has perfumes and other ingredients. Actually Vaseline is fine, you only need enough around the outside so your finger can slide in easily.
