idk if any one has back problems but i think its from a pinched nerve. I have this in my back and it causes pain to my front muscle under my rib cage sometimes. this is exactly where my fluttering takes place. it doesnt hurt while it flutters, but it is in the same spot. i think its just normal muscle spasms. nothing harmful at all.

Oh my gosh. I am so sorry to hear that your "flutter" has turned into so much more. My flutter was going like mad for about 2 weeks, and now seems to have subsided.

I hav the same feeling also .. I was at a party of a saturday night... drank alot of vodka and whiskey!! The next day I had a bad hangover but around 8pm then I started feeling a bubbling sensation, like a baby kicking my chest was really weird, i panicked because i thought it was my heart but when i went to the doctor he said it was my stomach and that it was just trying to adjust back to normal after all the alcohol intake.. So now im afraid to drink again. Im 25 and still hav the sensation the last 3day?? What the hell is it???

I think you are onto something with what you are drinking. I recently discovered tea is very acidic, I knew the ones I drank were caffeinated, didn't know acidic. This irritates your stomach hence the fluttering. I stopped drinking pops/ tea for a few days and mine improved. I am an anxious person and pretty sensitive to caffeine, but mine flutters even when my anxiety and stress are low. I think mostly diet is my probably.

It's probably Sorbitol. It's in everything from food (diet/sugar free) gum, toothpaste, mouthwash, etc.  Read the label of ingredients.  I had this fluttering in my stomach constantly, eventually pressure up the esphogas.  Stopped digesting it, took about a full week to stop the flutter.  Do not eat anything now that non-fat or sugar free.  Gives me too many digestive problems.

As many of you have already said, I too have flutters in my abdomen much like when I was pregnant. I have had them ever since I had my son 3 years ago. I'm in my twenties, very healthy, and a 21 BMI. The only difference I see in my symptoms than others is I have them everywhere in my abdomen, not just one specific place and I sometime feel it closer to my side/back. Like many have also said, I am sure it is not severe and I feel better knowing so many have it as well, but its just so weird and uncomfortable. I have searched the web for answers many times, but my only conclusion is it is probably a result of bloating, gas, or other normal digestive inconveniences. I also wonder if there is a pattern between all of the people on here claiming they feel it.... I only drink diet soda and eat sugar free candies occasionally. Possibly, it is substitute sweeteners causing all of this?

I am having the same fluttering/rolling feeling under my left upper ribcage! It's painless but very gross feeling! I describe it as my rib baby..lol! I am 36 yrs old and female, I have had 1 child, but shes 10! I went to the dr over this to find out I have Scoliosis! Thats all the blood work and X-rays showed. I am currently still dealing with this issue! Did you ever find out what was causing yours?

You are absolutely correct. So happy you posed this. This happened to me after I had my gallbladder removed due to a little stone that got lodged in the tube going from the gb to the stomach after a chiropractic adjustment. Freak thing. Anyway, started having pressure coming up my esophagus then the stomach fluttering started. Doctor wanted to do a stomach acid culture but my insurance would not cover the procedure because it was not going to be done in a hospital. Good thing because when I looked at the list he gave me of substances to avoid, sorbitol was on it. This was what was causing my problem. It's in EVERYTHING from food, toothpaste, mouthwash, body soap, etc. Check out what's in your food. I can't believe these things are allowed. People think they're ill and take meds to get relief when we are really poisoning our bodies with unnecessary chemicals. People are more ill now than ever before. Unbelieveable.

I have been having spasms as well, a few inches above my belly button. I have had 4 children, but a tubal after my 4th. And I am not pregnant. I have no pain, but it is a concern since I don't know what it is. I have been under a lot of stress, but this isn't the first time for that, but it is a first for the fluttering.

I had the fluttering which felt like little "maggots" wriggling around, had me worried for a bit. I had the fluttering in the middle just below the bra line. I thought it could be poor posture, from sitting at the computer, or my bra was too tight. It is possible, but after reading some of the posts it could have been anxiety or lack of fibre as well. Mine lasted for about 3 weeks and I haven't had it for 6 days now. I started taking my fish oil, Spirulina and baby aspirin again, though not consistently. That may have helped. Anyway, don't stress, sit up straight and eat fibre. See how you go.

I am feeling the same thing..like a flutter almost like a baby movement..no pain..just wierd. I do get GERD sometimes and I am on an anti anxiety/anti depressent at 20mg dosage. I just have never felt this before and am wondering what it is. It is in the center under my breast bone. Your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I do have a Dr check up on Tuesday so I will be asking him what this is. I checked out the same thing..AAA (abdominal aorta anurism) on line and it concerned me but when reading your post I feel it is the same thing.
