She talks about the link with Hashimoto's (autoimmune hypothyroid disease) and talks about taking bile salts, beet root and betaine hydrochloride instead of proton pump inhibitors which actually could make problem worse. I have Hashimoto's and Autoimmune gastritis/pernicious anemia. Autoimmune gastritis occurs when the immune system mistakingly attacks parietal cells in the stomach. Parietal cells are the proton pumps which make hydrochloric acid to help in breaking down and absorbing the vitamins out of food. So if one has this, taking a PPI in my opinion is like ingesting a poison. And autoimmune gastritis leads to pernicious anemia which is a Vitamin B-12 deficiency that can cause neurological symptoms. As well iron deficiency can also result as iron and B-12 need stomach acid to be absorbed.
My stomach frequently burns. I would also suggest taking Siberian Pine Nut Oil that you can buy on the internet. It needs to be refrigerated and has a rather chemical taste to it, but it sure does soothe the tummy. You could also try Makuna Honey. I would also read Why Stomach Acid is Good for You by Jonathan Wright, MD. That book makes so much sense and he talks about digestion in detail and all the seemingly unrelated symptoms that occur with stomach acid. He also advocates Betaine Hydrochloride supplementation (you can buy at the health food store). This is a lab made pill with the same PH as stomach acid.
As for the man that posted high protein frequent meals for duodenal pain, I also strongly believe he is onto something. I haven't found my magic bullet and have experimented with some of this stuff with mixed results, but I keep trucking along and believe one day I will find something that will maybe not totally alleviate this but help it substantially. Thanks for reading. Hope this helps.
I don't drink coffee or tea very often, and I don't drink milk. chocolate maybe it. I haven't had the feeling though, which is very nice.

I suggest you get to a doctor since it sounds as if this has been going on for a while.
I would love to find out what is causing all my issues. Back in 2008 I was having attacks where I would all of a sudden feel like I had to go to the bathroom. My arms started tingling and my face started sweating and I turned very pale. My back was hurting along with my stomach. I felt like I was going to vomit. I couldn't tell if I was going to vomit or c**p. It was like having a heart attack. It happened twice in one weekend out of state and is the scariest thing ever. I was diaganosed in 2009 with a non functioning gall bladder. They removed it. I then started to getting pain in the gall bladder area and it feels like a tennis ball in there. I was told that I have fatty liver. I to had pain with intercourse. I am on medicine for GERD (acid reflux). This past year I started to have diarea almost like all morning. I didn't think someone would have so much c**p inside of themselves. I got struck with what they were guessing a stomach virus back in the Spring for two straight weeks being on clear liquids stuck in the bathroom. For the past year I have been waking up about the same time a couple times a month where I have major pain in my lower bowel area and it makes me feel like I have someone in there twisting my insides out. It takes me rubbing my back and stomach to calm it down. I have been getting that same sharp feeling during the day now also. And the last month I started getting the major stomach burning issues. I try to eat but nothing sounds or tastes good to me. I have been finding myself gagging over just about anything I try to eat. Thank god I am scheduled again for both scopes from both ends before Thanksgiving. My mom has Crohns and almost all of her cousins have that or colitis and some of them developed colon cancer from it. I just wished I could get some answers. The docs at the University doesn't feel it is fatty liver however most of my liver test comes back elevated. However, if you look online most of your medicines can cause the bad readings. The doctor is going to do some biopsies also to test for lactose intolerence and Gluten problems. Anyone else experience all of this?
spicy food, citrous fruits should be avoided and milk will not give the proper result in addition too much of milk increase burning sensation drinking two glass(400ml to 500ml) of water after every meal eat atleat two banana and few amount of grapes per day
Hello,
I posted about four months ago with reflux and a burning stomach that WOULD NOT go away it didn't matter what I tried. And while I still recommend some of things I discussed--betaine hydrochloride for possible low stomach acid and Siberian pine nut oil (the oil really did help relieve but wasn't a cure), I feel for me getting a full hysterectomy was the answer.
Do I recommend this as a remedy? Obviously not, but I do believe that in my case my severe Adenomyosis and Endometriosis did not allow for my stomach to heal no matter what I tried. And now two weeks post op, my stomach pain has been reduced 85-90% if not more. The person who posted that ovarian cysts may be the culprit a few months ago may have been exactly right in my case. So if there are any women reading this that have any ailments with their female reproductive system, I recommend you check this out as a possibility if you too have tenacious tummy troubles like I did.
Now in my case, I do have autoimmune gastritis, so I expect I will have twinges of pain here and there, but what I was suffering was no less than ridiculous. It did not matter what I did or whether my stomach was full or empty, the burning was there every day to remind me how awful I felt.
For the men reading, I am sorry I cannot offer you an answer, and I also know that this will not be the answer for every woman reading either. But this seems to have mitigated or eliminated the symptoms in me. Maybe this is a hormonal issue (I am on bio-identical estrogen now). Not sure what it is, but after surgery, I feel SOOOOOOO much better.
