I am a 32 yr old female and I too am having ALL of these symptoms, foggy head, it gets worse usually as the day goes on. I wake up feeling great but by the time I finish getting ready it hits. I don't have the tingling in my limbs it's just chronic dizziness. I also have had the blood test and I was only a little low in protein but I have definately picked up on my protein intake and it's not getting any better. It seems to subside when I am sidetracked which makes me think it could be in my head. I was thinking that I might be diabetic or have low blood pressure. I have a follow-up appt. on the 17th of April but I have to go in sooner(I am too worried to wait). I had a baby 6 months ago and have another daughter that I need to be here for. I can see it being anxiety but I'm just so scared and need to rule out the serious stuff, if anyone gets any answers please keep us posted.
OK, so I think its just a coincidence that we are all turning 30 and have the same symptoms. I too have had about 3 days of light headed spells. Sometimes I will be doing the dishes and totally space out, feeling like I am going to faint. Once I feel this way I panic. I was in the grocery line, checking out and went from perfectly fine to instantly light headed for no apparent reason. I am healthy, and I really think it could be do to stress and antagonized by anxiety. It could be an inner ear thing too, not sure. I do know that if I have my mind off of it, say exercising, I never get light headed. After reading all of these informative posts full of seemingly very healthy people it make me realize it may be psychosomatic.......or just a cold cut case of stress.
I have also had this for about 8 months - sudden and random bouts of lightheadedness, dizziness, lack of concentration, dull ache in the right side of my face and heart palpitations (perhaps panic attack when I feel so strange) I'm 26 and have been to a neuroligist, my BP & heart has been tested and is fine. I am about to go for a CT scan tomorrow, the doc thinks that there is nothing wrong there & if nothing shows up I perhaps need to go see a physio who specilises in inner ear problems... See how I go. Very Frustrating!!!
im actually 16 and even right now im feeling dizzy.. i dont get it i work out 4-5 times a week i play multiply sports and even now i have trouble sleeping but i feel tired all the time idk what to do...... maybe i should go see a pyschiatrist any comments will be appreciated

This is unbelievable. What can this be that we are all experiencing (mostly in our late 20’s early 30’s). I have the same story as the rest of you. About 4 years ago I was a healthy 27 year old male, active and fit, no drinking or drugs or smoking. Then one day, boom I start getting these lightheaded spells that have gotten progressively worse and now last for days at a time before subsiding only to return a few days later.
I’ve seen all the Dr’s, all the tests, Ct scans, stress tests, balance tests, ENT, Numerologists, glucose tests, heart scans, artery scans, everything! They all say the same thing “Your fine”. I’m not fine and I’m not making this up. How can all these people have this mystery affliction without anyone knowing what it actually is?
I do my best to just push through it, to try and live my life as normal as I can but after 4 years I’ve forgotten what normal is, I used to run 5 miles a day as part of my work out, now just bending down to tie my shoes throws me for a loop. I’m going to start trying the holistic stuff, herb doctors and acupuncture and meditation and stuff like that, it’s all I have left at this point. I wish you all the best of luck and to keep trying. We are not all crazy.

Are you sure you don't have POSITIONAL VERTIGO? That is what I had and there is a simple exercise to correct it. It does come and go occasionally but is controllable. Exercise given on internet is a little too gentle. Need to be told by a doctor how to move your head to dislodge (or whatever you call it) the piece of calcium loose in your middle ear. Good luck!
I must say I am pleased to read all of these stories about light headenness. I am a 26 year old male who recently started getting light headed. I noticed it start just over a week ago. It happens 1-2 times a day, sometimes more or less. The worst ones seem to happen at night, and possibly are connected to eating, but I cannot be certain if there is a correlation.
I also have a severe case of hypocondria (or so I hope haha) So it may be possible it is stress related. Because the stress that results from hypocondria is consuming, everything else in your life takes a back seat to your hypocondria. I thought I had two severe illnesses in the course of a month.

Hi All. I must say nice to hear of others with similar frustrations, as we all know it is not nice to experience! Mine is not as long as others, but constant now.
My story is 31yo Male, about 4 months ago started getting dizzy spells and slight issues with vision which now to this date is a constant sensation all day, every day.
I basically can wake up and feel ok for about 5 mins, then it starts to kick in and the lightheaded feeling, accompanied by moments of dizzy, and best I can describe as 'foggy' vision but I can't say it is that blurry as can still focus but just takes a bit longer. It almost feels like you are living your life whilst 1/2 asleep, or on drugs or something. It is so frustrating, and no one can start to tell you what it is.
Have probably had 10-15 visits with GP's (about 4 different ones now) CT, MRI, 2 x ECG's to check heart, Many different Bloods, Visited ENT twice, plus General Physician, and tried Acupuncture and also Chinese herbal methods. Nothing is working, and all tests come back normal. Have ruled out deficiency in all areas, including Celiac, Potassium, Iron and bloods are almost perfect every time. Blood pressure is fine every time it was checked, and the only abnormality was my white blood cell count was slightly low, and my Red Blood Cell size was small (but not iron deficient). My only last test I have to do is a balance test (ENG I believe) but after this I may only be referred to balance repair sessions like physiotherapy, but I still thing something is not right with the diagnosis. I have been given Stematil first, but now have changed over to Serc recommended from my ENT. This does seem to have some effect in dulling it, but far from fixing and you still get knocked around daily.
I am such a positive person with everything, but this one is really pulling me down as it affects everything I do. My wife and I both are a bit worried and trying to keep pushing to find an answer. Hoped this forum may suggest something we haven't tried yet. Cheers, Sean

I have the exact same symptoms going on and i am feeling very disconnected with reality now, and can no longer concrate at work, all i can think of is what is wrong with me.
Starting back in about August (4 months ago), i started having issues sleeping and this "pressure in my chest", not sure what it was it was just keeping me awake at night. and throughout the day i would feel very fatigued and lightheaded at work (i assumed this was all due to poor sleep).
here I am 4 months later, blood pressure is usually 125-135 over about 80-90 i think. I constantly feel like I have a racing heart, and the lightheadedness every single day, and every day on and off i get this almost burning weird sensation in my eyes, its hard to describe, maybe it is just being insanely tired, but i do tend to get 5-7 hours of sleep a night (i tend to awake up a lot throughout the night though).
the feeling in my chest i described i think is GERD, i am going to the Drs. next week to talk to him about it. I started taking zantac for it, and it did not help. i am currently on nexium and feel no better...
i really think i am suffering anxiety (panic disorder and generalized anxiety) and GERD.
i am having issues figuring out which one is the cause and which is a symptom, because i believe they are playing off eachother.
i have been to the hostpital about 4 times now, they always think its anxiety as all xrays and blood tests show i am fine.
i had a Exrercise stress test done about 2 months ago and i was fine. although, now i cant exercise for more then a couple minutes without my heart starting to race and i feel like i am going to pass out.
i really need this figured out so i can have my life back... ;(

I'm a 17 yr old male. I don't smoke and I do drink coffee everyday but thinking about quitting. About 2 months ago I began feeling lightheaded constantly accompanied by nausea after eating. During the holidays it went away and it was heavenly. However after the holidays I went back to school and the sensation came back in about a week. I recently had a throat infection and during my illness my lightheadedness got to the point where I couldn't walk. I'm slowly recovering from my infection but my head is still quite woozy. I'm glad I found others with the same symptoms and any feedback about my condition would be greatly appreciated.
I am a 30 yr old female, and have been suffering from lightheadedness, dizziness, and headaches off and on for about 6 months now, mainly around menstruation; But for the past month it has been constant . I have a feeling that Doctors won't be able to figure it out, and from what I've read, I see my theory is supported. I have 3 small children, and keeping up with them is hard... whatever is going on is VERY annoying, and will let you know if I find anything out about what is going on! I also have a theory that it might be birth control related... I have been on the Mirena for 2 years now, and it is a hormone release BC. Bodies change and medications start effecting us differently.
These symptoms can be caused by chronic overbreathing.
I'm a 16-year old male. i started drinking coffee EVERY morning since September of this year. i only feel lightheaded when sitting or lying down. when i'm in action, like doing sports, i don't really feel the lightheadedness. i also wear glasses, but right now i wear contact lenses. i wear them almost daily, mostly when going out of the house. Is drinking coffee most probably the problem? should i stop?? thank you for a reply
