Hi - if you're using the vinegar, and your skin is cracking, you need to stop! At this point, you're doing more harm than good. I'd suggest going for the antibiotic/gauze treatment recommended just a few posts back. The ointment will kill any bacteria, and will soothe the cracked skin. The gauze will absorb moisture and pad the area from further irritation by your bra or skin-on-skin contact, which should help keep it from getting more inflamed or growing yeast.

Make sure you gently clean, dry, re-apply the antibacterial ointment, and change the gauze twice a day - once when you get up, once when you go to bed - until the skin is no longer hurting or irritated. Once it's mended, maintain cleanliness and absorb moisture without drying the skin out/irritating it.

The vinegar or rubbing alcohol thing is really just for deep cleansing of skin that's generally in good shape, or a one-shot microbe-killer. It can be used effectively for immediate results on some occasions: for example, I've applied rubbing alcohol, and dried it immediately with a fan or cool hairdryer, and then put a cotton cloth over the irritated area for overnight relief of a raw, smelly rash. And yes, it hurt like crazy until the alcohol dried. But once that was done, I immediately switched to gentle, preventative treatments.

Keep the area clean. Keep excessive moisture from forming. Err on the side of being gentle to your skin, and find what works for you.

I used to get a rash under my breasts every summer when I would start to perspire on a regular basis. After trying all kinds of remedies I finally hit on a solution that has consistently worked for me. I cut the ribbed part off of white, cotton socks (good quality, thick ones) and make pads (3" X 6" or so) that I tuck into the band on my bra and up under my breasts. On a very hot and active day I might have to change them a couple of times but it really works. I have not had a rash or had to use ointments for several years. It's a great use for your husbands or sons socks that have holes on the bottoms!

I've had this too my whole life. I'm 62. I use rubbing alcohol to dry, then powder. I am going to try the apple cider vinegar. I will also try the antifungal. Mine itches in the hot humid weather.

My giant natural breasts and I have been going through the same thing. The rash was so bad, I had huge bark semicircles under my breasts for about two months and wearing a bra was murder. I started using a natural crystal stick deodorant after every shower. The rash and the dark circles were gone in a week. I re-apply throughout the day as needed, especially when it's humid or before and after exercise. Good luck sister girls.

I HAVE BIG BOOBS AS WELL AND I GET IRRITATED UNDERNEATH WHEN I SWEAT. I USUALLY ONLY GET IT IN THE SUMMERTIME. I DON'T WEAR REGULAR BRAS BECAUSE THEY REALLY IRRITATE ME AND R VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I WEAR SPORTS BRAS ALL THE TIME, I HATE HAVING THE SPACE BETWEEN MY BOOBS FROM A REGULAR BRA AND IT IRRITATES ME, THE SPORTS BRA HOLDS ME 2GETHER AND I FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE.HOWEVER, WHEN I GET THE RASH UNDER MY BOOBS I USE MEDICATED POWDER SUCH AS GOLD BOND. MY BOOBS FEEL LIKE THEIR ON FIRE SO THE MEDICATED POWDER GIVES IT A COOLING SENSATION AND IT FEELS BETTER. I PUT IT ON AFTER I GET OUT OF THE SHOWER EVERYDAY, IT HELPS PREVENT THE RASH FROM COMING BACK.I'VE USED THE ANTI-FUNGAL CREAMS B4 BUT IT DOESN'T HELP. THE MOISTURE IS NOT GOOD UNDER UR BOOBS, IT IS BETTER TO USE THE MEDICATED POWDER TO KEEP U DRY!!!SO IF UR IN PAIN AND UR BOOBS FEEL LIKE THEIR ON FIRE GET GOLD BOND AND PUT IT UNDER THEIR U'LL HAVE IMEDIATE RELIEF IT COOLS IT DOWN LITERALLY!!!

I have been trying the apple cider vinegar....HURTS LIKE CRAZY....haven't seen any relief yet, but it has only been 2 days of using it! I am going to call my doctor on Monday because this is very painful. The yeast infection cream did not work for me. Not something I would wish on anyone, mine has started to crack and open up and wow does it hurt.[/quot

I tryed it too. Burns even turned the rash into a burn looking, terrible thing. I am trying some of the other remedies. The anti fungal spray worked well, until I Added the apple cider vinegar. Don't try it.

I used boudreaux's Butt paste. The but paste worked great on diaper rashes so I decided to try it. I use giant bandages apply the paste to the inside and apply it to the affected area. Clears up in about a day.

I also have this including itching and tried showering daily and towel drying thoroughly, dry cold compresses, cornstarch, Gold Bond powder, anti-itch creams, sprays and lotions, thick creams, A/D cream, various antifungal products and finally my daughter suggested I try Desitin that we use for baby's rashes. It worked! I use it AM and PM either time after a shower while letting my skin completely dry. It helps with the raw and sometimes slightly painful feeling too. I also had some luck with Amens Powder (kind-of like Gold Bond but better for me). if I wear a new garment that I haven't washed prior to wearing can sometimes bring it on and then the elastic of my bras goes to work rubbing my tender skin raw. I'm not a large woman but as I've aged, I sag more. So tI think I"ll be sure to go for the "perky-look" rather than the "drop-look." it will serve two purposes!

I to had a rash under my breast. I tried everything, lotions, creams, including cortizone and yeast creams, nothing worked. The rash kept coming back. Then I tried a home remedy of vinegar and baking soda, 1/2 cup soda and 3 tbsp white vinegar mixed together in a paste. I applied 2 times a day for 15-30 minutes each, I did this for 2 weeks and the rash has been gone since. I was amaze that this cheap, and easy solution to a very aggravating condition.

I had this problem 8 years ago. The doctor prescribed an ointment that took it away immediately. I kept the rash away by using deoderant under the breast. Recently I changed the brand of deoderant and the rash came back in force. I used Tea Tree Therapy, Tea Tree Oil Ointment. Made with eucolyptus oil and lavender oil. Took the rash away very quickly. I am soaking all bras in chlorine bleach, so that I do not reinfect. And I will be using advice to cleanse under the breast area with vinegar. I am also using medicated baby powder ( corn starch, koletin, and zinc oxide) for a while and then will use corn starch with aloe and vitamin e powder.

Both my cousin and myself have very large breast and have experienced rashed under the breast. My doctor prescribed by a steroid cream that helped. My cousin recently told me about using deodorant/antiperspirant under there. A big-breasted girlfriend of hers told her about it. Anyway, she swears that since she started using deodorant under there, she has had no rash problems.

Oh man am I glad I found this site, I have read every post on here and I am so gonna try everything. However, my situation is a little different. I've had this rash BETWEEN my breast not under. When i wash it, it looks redish, but when it drys its kinda brown (a few shades darker than my skin color) I do know it is also caused by humidity because it seems to get lighter during winter and darkens during summer. I've had it for a few years now and have tried a few lightening creams, but haven't worked. If anyone else has experienced this brownish, redish rash in between the breast I would love to know what worked for you. Mean while I will be experiencing with a few remedies and creams I read about here. Thanks!
