I have been suffering this since the first time I had sex.. it turns out I had a lot of abdominal adhesions. After surgery, It subsided for about 20 years and is back. I don't know if it's adhesions again or just a cramp. It does hurt bloody bad. I hear some men saying it's hard for a man to talk about. Guess what? Hard for a woman to talk about too. This is the first time I have ever talked about it. The only thing that helps me now is to orgasm before intercourse and though the start of intercourse hurts terribly, the gentle motion of my partner stops the cramp. That is not going to help a man. Maybe a gentle massage from your partner as afterplay? If I orgasm alone....I just have to wait out the longest 20 minutes ever. I wonder if a muscle relaxant a few minutes before sex would help? Has anyone tried this?

I have been suffering from this for a couple of years now. I didnt realise it had a name!

It happens randomly after i orgasm, or wakes me up during the night, usually lasting about half an hour.

I am a 38 year old female

I have had the same problem since I started orgasms in my teens. After years of putting up with it I've finally found a quick emema, then bearing down while expelling is the fastest relief. I can't believe I'm not alone in this problem anymore. There is nothing more disruptive than the crying, hyperventilating and scooting off to the loo during intimate sessions. Too all you sufferers out there, you are not alone!

I have found that sublingual clonopin helps me the most. I just had an intense attack and they come with or without climax. I have been having these for 15 - 20 years now.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. And there's name for it. I get them after strong orgasms. So painful. Last about 15 -30 minutes. Wakes me up sometimes. Sometimes right after sex. Sitting on the toilet helps and pushing like you doing #2. Yeah totally hurts. I'm a 43 year old female.

I've been experiencing these once every few months, always after orgasm, almost always associated with masturbating rather than intercourse. 31 year old female. The only thing that helps for me is walking around. I become nauseous and dizzy, though, and almost passed out this time around.

Tried something new this time that seemed to help when I couldn't walk anymore for fear of falling from the dizziness. Laid on my back, brought my knees toward my stomach, and did a series of movements: pedaled my legs; rocked side to side, which massaged my lower back; stretched my legs to one side, then the other, like the "tick tock" in yoga or pilates.

I'm always a little fearful when I start masturbating. If I knew I'd have this pain every time, I'd never masturbate. It's awful! Hang in there, everybody. And thanks for contributing. Good to know I'm not alone and to hear feedback.

I get this about once per month. Usually after intense orgasm. I am 41 yr. old male. Unfortunately mine last anywhere from one to several hourshours. The pain and urge to defecate are extreme. Advil and water are all that help but only very little. Once it starts I know it's going to be a long bad night.

Nothing to do with anal. I've been having this pain for 30 years and never had anal.

I have been getting this pain a few times a year for30 years and only looked it up recently because its become a lot more frequent since I started the peri menopause. It even comes out of the blue in the daytime. Sometimes its a dull ache that goes away, sometimes its unbearable. I take two painkillers straight away and stand on one leg, sounds mad, but definitely eases the pain until they kick in. Only my right leg though. It must do something to the muscle cramps, I dont know if this will work for a man as women have a lot of vaginal muscles as well as anal ones. Your not alone, that helps me as well.

I am 28 yo male who has been suffering from this or cpps for over a Year now. First started through masturbation and has been a continuous dull ache ever since. The only things I have find that help are tapentadol although this makes me quite dizzy and ibuprofen 10% gel rubbed onto the area. I've heard that pelvic physio works well so fingers crossed!

Whew finally I found something on this subject. Doctors have no idea.

My wife has these anal cramp attacks after orgasm from Clitoral stimulation whether with my fingers or my mouth. It also creeps up on her during sleep, usually if she has a full bladder.

Her way of handling it is to take some pain killers and walk around the room. Sometimes the cramp subsides quicker than other times. Sometimes she must spend up to 20 or 30 minutes pacing the room. Not something you want to do with wobbly legs and and a mind that just wants to go to sleep.

Sometimes, I must be quick though, if I penetrate her and f**k her really hard doggy style, I mean really hard, forceful and rough, it can also help. She may feel the onset of the cramp and, if before it takes hold, I force myself into her and don't hold back, the cramps do not take hold and therefore never reach full intensity. I like the hard f*****g and the dominance of it as much as she does. She is even able to or cannot help having further orgasms with such a hard f*****g, so neither of us mind this attempt at remedy. If however a hard f*****g does not work, perhaps the timing was not quick enough, then there is no time for a cuddle. Once I have finished she must get to the pain killers and start pacing. That special intimate moment couples enjoy after sex is lost. Talking to her while she paces does take her mind off of it, but I must admit that after so much energy expended I am not always able to stay awake as long as it takes for the cramp to go away.

We have noticed that if I ease off stimulation of her clit a little earlier before the point of climax that the chances of this cramp are reduced. However, this timing can also be a bit hit and miss.

It's painful for her and I really don't know how to help other than not doing it. She has a really intense orgasm this way, and naturally wants to continue having mind blowing orgasms as much as I want to keep helping her achieve them. Yet, it is a bit annoying having to premeditate whether or not we should do it this way or not because we know there is a high chance of her being in pain.

She has no difficultly having orgasm's through vaginal stimulation, hands, penis or toys. She regularly has multiple orgasm's during sex and also rolling orgasm's. Sometimes her orgasms this way can roll on for so long that she has no concept of time or awareness of me. I could have an earth shattering simultaeous orgasm with her and she will ask me, "Did you cum?" Hard not to notice or hear me. Who said sex can't make you deaf. Strangely, orgasm in this way has never cause the cramps. Of course this is great, how frustrating it would be for both of us if any and all sex activities end up with her in pain. But she cannot have both vaginal and clitoral stimulation, so blended orgasm is not something I can give her. It's either or, I cannot being doing the two things at once.

It's good to hear that others have this problem. However, I see many people have different ways of handling the problem or treating it but nobody has a conclusive reason why it happens. Has anyone got further update or found out something new.
