Back pain along with stomach bloating and bowel problems

For about a week and a half now I have been suffering from constant back pain that seems to move around my back and seems to be intense at night. Along with this is stomach bloating and bowel problems, some days I can't stay out of the restroom and other days nothing or very little. I have a lot of gas, yet it seems hard to expel. Not sure if I should call my doctor or is this something that will pass. I do have IBS so not sure if it is just a matter of time and it will go away?

You need to start eating healthier, those symptoms mean that your not getting all the nutrients you need. Start exercising more than you do, eat less, and within in a week you should start noticing a difference. :) hopefully that helps. :)

I have identical symptoms.(plus a few others) I have been dealing with this for almost 2 years now. In the last few months it has gotten much worse. I have severe & sometimes crippling abdmonial pain, back pain, and hip pain. Sometimes the pain literally brings me to my knees and knocks the breath out of me. Most days I can't even get out of bed. This has pretty much disabled me. I sometimes cannot even talk. My abdominal bloating is rediculous and makes me feel like my ribs are going to break b/c my belly gets so big so fast. The pain is almost constant: 24/7. I take Ambien to sleep but I cannot get comfortable and spend most of the night changing positions. Sometimes I just stay up and cannot wait to see daylight so I can get out of my room without disturbing anyone. I have headaches every day, chronic fatigue, dizziness, disoriented, nauseated, and it seems like I am losing my memory. I also have unexplained sores on my forearms, hamstrings, trunk, back and around the foot area. This is going to sound weird, but my skin sometimes gets waxy, looks greyish and it's actually sticky after I shower. When I use an antiseptic the cotton ball turns blackish-grey. It's doing this now, but only happens about once every three months.Alot of times when I scratch an itch a tiny little black spec about the size of pepper will appear. (This is not Scabies... already went down that road). Try telling a doctor that & see how fast he puts you on an antipsychotic instead of listening. They are so quick to dismiss me & whip out that prescription pad so they can get on to the next billable patient and more than likely get kickbacks for writing the prescription that doesn't heal. I sometimes think that they prefer to treat symptoms... everyone makes more money that way. Both my hair and skin have changed texture and color. My ankles swell... very attractive. All of this makes me want to stay home. I have Neuropathy in both hands and both feet. I think it's related. I do take Gralise & it does work. I have been off/on antibiotics for over a year. It seemed like the Flagyll did improve it the first time for a couple of weeks. It doesn't help AT ALL now. I am now into my 3rd week taking the antibiotics. I am also on Bentyl, Zophran, 2 antibiotics, and several other meds. My vomiting is usually projectile and the nausea will wake me from a dead sleep.I have had several CT scans with contrast, ultrasounds, the whole nine. I am miserable and nothing is working. I have been in/out of the ER at least 6 times in the past 2 months. None of the doctors seem to know what is wrong. IBS is not a disease. It's a catch-all. Most of the time, when u see that "syndrome" at the end I feel like the pharmaceuticals and doctors couldn't figure something out so they made sure they have a label for the patient so they could make their money. I have a small bowel series scheduled Monday morning. They did find a "grey area" in my belly on the last CT scan but don't know what it is. They say I cannot get a scope until my infection goes away... not even sure what the infection is. I wish ALL doctors would take the time to really listen to everything and not just treat symptoms. All of this has completely turned my life upside down. Thanks for reading (helps to vent) and thank you also for any suggestions you may have. God Bless everyone and I hope you guys all find a solution.
I have been reading up about GMI`s genetically modified food that is in a lot of food and its not even on the label. The side effects from GMI can be horrendous. Also if you drink sugar free drinks you are ingesting Aspartame which is known to be toxic. Also all the fluoride in your water supply, unless you have a water filter is really bad for you. All you people need to do your research on GMI, genetically modified food, Aspartame and fluoride. Once you have read about all this you won`t be wondering why you are ill, you will be sure!
I have the same thing and I am 51. It's been a couple yrs. going to Drs. constantly. Have not resolved yet & somedays are better than others. Have you got any better or answers since your last post a few yrs. ago? Thanks.
Frustrated totally.

I feel exactly like this no matter if I eat 1 cracker or a plate of spaghetti. My stomach bloats up so fast and painful. If I bend over I feel like I will throw up. No answers or reasons for this.
I posted a while back with constant back pain, bloating, etc. etc. I tried chiropractors, blood work, ultrasounds. I did have an almost non-existant Vitamin D and Calcium count which was making my thyroid level slightly low as well. Fixing the Vitamin D helped ease some of the achiness I was having, and definitely had an impact on the lethargy. I was skeptical the first time my doctor recommended physical therapy due to poor posture, but decided it wouldn't hurt to try it when she mentioned it a second time. Within two weeks, my back pain was almost non-existant... How Nice!!!!!! It turns out it was actually something in my neck that was causing the back pain.
Don't get me wrong, it still flares up, but when I do the exercises I'm supposed to, there is no comparison.
Hey, how are you? did you find a solution? i hope you can share it with me coz i'm also experiencing the same thing.. thankss..

My husband has the exact same symptoms you mentioned, although I realize you posted this two years ago. His also happens when he misses a meal, especially his morning meal. He had his appendix out about 12 years ago and this happened a few times prior to that operation. It happens every once in a blue moon. This time it was 10 months since the last time, but last night he went to the ER. They call it gastritis. duh. They prescribed zantac 150 twice a day. Have you had any luck in finding a cause or treatment for yours?
Try taking wheat (gluten) out of your diet.
I had several years of doctor visits and tests with no solutions. Same symptoms.
Remove gluten for a couple months and I felt amazing. Give it a try it does wonders.
Gluten sensitivity is a frickin epidemic these days.
What did doctor say about the blood?

hi i know how this goes i just currently found my issue docs didnt find it but i did myself, bad posture like sitting in asque ways affects your spine and nerves. also heavy work and excersise, little rest, stress, and diet can cause problems, i myself have very poor posture cause of how i sit and play games, i work in a factory doing continues heavy excersise lifting and work, if i sit like how i always sit when on the computer i feel blood flow or some flow in my intestines to my kindneys, and thats the only way i dont get pain, bloating, and gas issues along with diareah, keep good posture people
