I've had the same problem for years. Tried everything. I am now convinced I am gluten intolerant. Gluten is in EVERYTHING. It is VERY difficult to cut out all gluten, but necessary. try it for 2 weeks and see how you feel.

I had similar issues it turned out to be an overgrowth of yeast. It can mimic acid reflux mine finally clear up afer being treated with diflucan. I have been tested for celics and I don't have it yet when I eat breads pastries etc I get that sick nauseated feeling. I think my system still isn't quite right ...I think systemic yeast infections is worth exploring. I tring to eat plain yogurt everyday and eat garlic It is really hard to get your system back in balance..

I been having the same issues as many of you have said for over 2 months now and this feeling drives me nuts. No matter what I eat I get bloated and gassy after every meal. The worst part for me is when I have to go home and ride the train and anxiety kicks in and get that feeling like I have to use the bathroom. My GI doctor refuses to run any sort of test but I'm going to look for another doctor, I been taking fiber and stool softener for about 3 weeks and a gas-X pill after meals but I've only had about two normal days in the past month. I have been extremely cautious about what I've been eating for two weeks and my issue has remained the same.

While you should certainly rule out a gluten intolerance, you should also be tested for a stomach parasite. Giardia will induce the same symptoms you are writing about. Get tested and if you do have it, they will prescribe strong antibiotics.

Ditto! I've done a stool test as i've had parasites before (i've travelled a fair amount) and i felt like a different person when they were gone, but now back to same old aches, tiredness etc etc, so i'm hoping that the results will tell me that i have the blighters back and I can then do something specific to get rid of them. I've also been told that my central nervous system is very stressed, which will obviously have a major impact on the digestive system. Does that relate to you also?

I have had a lot of similar problems. Started my jr. Year in high school (I am now a junior in college) almost every time I eat I get severe gas and bloating which causes low intense sharp pain and burning under my ribs. I will also go through bouts of severe diarrhea and some rectal pain. I have had every test in the book... (multiple colonoscopys, sigmoid, food allergy testing, female related tests, hida scan, scope, ct scan, ultrasound just to name a few) first they discovered my gallbladder was not working so I had that removed in 09, still was having problems. I had 2 doctors tell me I had chrons because for a short period my ileum was inflamed but it went away and only showed on one scan. My next route was the gyno being that it was low pain, thought it could be female related. Then they discovered I had endometriosis. So I had 3 adhesions removed. Now, 3 months after my endometriosis surgery im still in severe pain. It seems to go in cycles, I go through phases where it's very severe and not bad at all. On top of having my gallbladder and endometriosis removed I was also diagnosed with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) in 2008. In addition to all these issues, im exhausted all the time, I have a lot of joint pain, have a benign cyst on my kidney, have had uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and severe seasonal allergies (was diagnosed the fibromyalgia) I have literally been tested for just about everything and I'm at the end of my rope. Im only 21 years old and I am sick of feeling crappy all the time! I want my life back. Any one have anything similar? Also I was tests for celiacs which was negative and have tried every diet in the book and nothing helps.

most doctors are quite good but they can not test for absolutely everything, have you considered or tried a private firm who do stool tests which involve really studying them for a multitude of different parasites? I"ve just had one done and it turns out i have Dientamobea fragilis which can have similar symptoms as IBS and other stomach related stuff. I used a company called Genova Diagnostics (i'm based in UK as they are, but may have brances in america) which you can only access by a professional healthcarer - in my case a nutritionist. Good luck and i hope it helps. Make sure they really do test for numerous parasites etc. Apparently the D.F (parasite i have) is very common in the west ie. America, Uk, Europe etc. Fingers crossed for you.

I have had some stool testing in the past but everything came back fine. I have had so many issues this past few years it's hard figuring at where to go...

i'm assuming that you've looked into the types of food you eat, how much, when etc etc and also the mood you're in when eating them. Personally i now try to take 2-3 deep breathes before i start eating which helps to calm my mind and therefore my body down, so it can focus on digestion rather than processing what's happened in the day.

Also chewing very well and slowly - everything slowly as it means the body can digest whilst not being overloaded and due to this it generally means i eat less.

hope some of this may help. good luck. There is help out there... somewhere!

White bread is made from wheat flour....unless you have gluten free bread made with rice flour or potato flour etc. So the white bread very likely caused your symptoms today since you are allergic to wheat.

Maybe it's not what you ARE eating but what you're NOT eating. You don't mention any green leafy vegetables. Try to stay away from the starchy foods for a while and eat a colourful diet: red peppers, orange carrots, green spinach, purple cabbage etc. Eat MOSTLY this, I'm talking a plate full, with some protein, either free-range chicken, grass-fed beef or eggs. Lay off the grains for a while and see how you feel. Eat as much greens (spinach, brocolli, cauliflower, bok choy, kale, etc) as you can handle. Stir-fry with coconut oil or have as salad with your own dressing of olive oil, lemon juice and sea salt. Eat as much as you can handle. You are probably nutrient deficient and the bacteria in your gut can't handle the trypes of food you are giving it. Remember our guts evolved on a diet of mainly veges and protein. Grains are a later edition. You can add them back into your diet after about 30 days but try to mix it up - not just rice or wheat. See how you go. Oh, and drink LOTS of water - around 3 litres/day, more if you exercise. I hope you feel well soon.

Sounds like you need to add HCL Supplement to your diet to increase your acid so the bloating and belching will stop. Also a really good probiotic an hour after you eat to get your system working again.

It's not wise to ask for others opinions, because no two people or bodies are alike. You may be better off with a persistant medical issue to condult your doctor and really take care of the proboem

Hey I just checked up on this cause my dad showed me it. I am 17 and I been dealing with these same issues. About 3 months ago I ate Tacobell and i felt terrible afterwords went home and was vomiting throughout the night. I never got better so I went to doctors and they said it was GERD that it triggered it when I was sick. So they treated me with some medication for stomach spasms. Then it never got better and I was on a bunch of anti biotics because they told be it was H pylori now. So I did everything they told me to and I still have not gotten better. This has affected me so much I can not eat, I barely sleep, I even lost 60/65 pounds! I went from 210 to 145 150 ish. Every time I eat I feel terrible. My attacks will last anywhere from a hour to like 3 hours. I've tried gas x phanzyme and a bunch of other things. I'm taking anti acids in the morning, phanzyme when I feel necessary, acetamenaphin when I need to for the pain. One thing I could suggest that helped me out a little bit is Bentyl (dicyclomine) For the constant nausea feeling try Zoofran (dont rlly know the name but that what it known as) Even with these it does not help fully. If anyone has any type of advice or anything please contact my email personally. _[removed]_ I have no medical insurance and my mom does not have the money for doctors. All my blood work has came back fine other than a low white blood cell count but it was not drastically low only a little. We can not afford a GI doctor or anything. So please help.

Hi Michael, I can relate to your story, i had an indian meal and almost immediately felt sick, diahorrea (can never spelt that word!), cramping, lethagy etc, my friend had it as well and she was ok 24 hours later, mine was bad for a week or two, settled down a bit then would keep flaring up. I went to the doctor who said it was a virus - ummmmm. Saw a nutritionalist who suggested i did a stool test privately ie not through docs (uk) and they found a parasite which have all the symptoms i had, which very very interesting are the same as IBS!! Doctors don't test for this parasite, which is crazy as it affects about 20% of the population (more in America apparently). So for those of you who have had no luck via doctor route, may i suggest going private and having a very thorough stool test done with parasite specialists - it costs a lot, but in the long run a lot cheaper than buying drugs that don't work! Good luck and i hope you get a positive result soon
