I know one person already posted this but I dealt with this problem for over 12 years and did see many, many doctors and had multiple tests done. No one could tell me what they were. Mine varied in size and were full of dark blood. I have had them in my pelvic area, thighs, armpits and lower stomach and sides. Over the 12 years the areas where they occur have expanded and they have become frequent enough that I have at least two at all times. It was someone on here that helped me figure out what this is! It's called Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Wikipedia has a really great article about it. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidradenitis_suppurativa

All this is is a blood blister. Staph with turn the area black and spider web out as it spreads. This is just a blood blister from rubbing on skin and heat. If you do a lot of walking and get these on the inner thigh, then try a runners method of put sport deoderant on your inner thighs to keep the friction down and youll see a big change as i. They wont be showing up anymore. No it doesnt get rid of them! It works as a lube to cut back on friction. Also, bath every day!

If you look on webmd to figure it out, youre gonna end up with cancer or some kind of horrible illness. If youre that worried then go to the dr. A dermatologist will be your best bet.

I'm 16 and same thing happens to me but I read somewhere that it is very common with athletes from your thighs rubbing together and it removes the layer of skin that protects agains infections and then it builds up others say its staff infection and that all you can do is get antibiotics but that it won't ever go away :(

I get similar bumps too where they have dry skin around them. My best recommendation would be to talk to a dermatologist. I know you said you didn't want to do that but it won't hurt. I had one like that and I peeled the dry skin off to pop it. It worked but the skin never grew back! My dermatologist said that had I gone to her first she could have lanced it and it wouldn't have been as gruesome.

I get these pretty regularly, and I know it is because of my weight, I am quite heavy around the thigh area. I have noticed over the years that when I take antibiotics for something else like ear infection they go away and for a long time. They are just unbearable, though. HUGE, usually the size of a golf ball, I kid you not. ANd sometimes, like the one I have now, they stick around for weeks, never healing, just oozing constantly. It is so gross, but I have just learned to deal with them. I know if I go to the doctor they will just give me antibiotics and tell me to lose the weight. Everytime I take antibiotics I get such a bad yeast infection I wish I had not taken them in the first place. Kind of a double edged sword; I lose either way.

Oh my god! I'm so so glad I'm not the only one! I'm the worst when it comes to them because I pop them with a pin and it's left me with scars and I know I need to stop squeezing them but it's really hard not! They are worse in Summer cause of the sweat and my thighs rubbing together, I have one right now and it's hard and I tried popping them and its those really burning hurting ones and only blood came out, Any advice or tips?

I had a heart surgery in 09, they went in the vains in my tighs, and on both tighs in the spot they went in at I get these, they hurts like heck.  I normally pop them and go on with my day.  I am over weight, 320ish pounds, so most likely its from my legs rubing together.  I'm glade I am not the only one who is having this issue. I thought it was from my surgery.  I went to the DR once over it and they wouldn't get near it, thought it was staff.

Okay lol so I have been having the same problem as you guys. And today I seem to have found the answer on another forum. The bumps are a mix of puss and blood. They are a type of bacteria naturally found on the skin. But it's found all over the body the difference is when we walk the skin on our inner thighs touch and wear down. This allows that bacteria to enter the first layers of the skin. That is when this bacteria gets in and starts to form these bumps. Then they grow until we pop them or the skin wears down enough for them to pop on their own and drain. This is what I found and it makes sense to me.

I have the same thing!! I've had it since I was around 11 years old, and I'm 20 now. I don't get just 1 or 2. I get like 4 or 5 at a time. And the come up basically overnight!! It's made me very self conscious about my body. Not only do I get them on my inner thighs, but I also get them under my arms. They hurt like crazy!! I just want to know what it is and how to treat it.
