No, cherry angioma or moreso skin lesions...not cysts. I think the answer given by the gal above who saw a physician who used to work with a London plastic surgeon (pointing to staph infections) is the most reasonable and logical answer.

Ladies and gents,
Do yourself a favor and request a Western blot for Herpes I and II. Especially if it is a recurring on a fairly regular basis. ESPECIALLY if you are sexually active. It isn't something you catch from the toilet seat. Have them swab the blood/pus stuff from the sore. It is important to confirm it is just a cyst or infected ingrown hair. This could also be herpes. yes, that would be a sucky diagnosis.. but it would be worse if you ignore it and pass it on. PLEASE go get tested and ignore the id**t doctors who swear it couldn't be. It CAN BE. MOST doctors aren't that knowledgeable on herpes. It is not even a standard on the regular testing. You have to ask for it specifically to even get tested. The most accurate test is the swab test.

I've had this problem for a while and I've learned a few things.
1. It's called Folliculitis.
2. It can be caused by a bacteria or a fungus infecting a hair follicle, so squeezing one can lead to more if you don't clean the area well.
3. It's caused by your thighs rubbing together (which is worse when over-weight or very muscular.)
Prevention and Treatment
1. I switched underwear to a stretch micro-fiber boxer-brief. They're a bit more expensive, but they really work. they hug your thighs from mid-thigh all the way up, so you won't chafe at all. Really comfortable too. Just make sure they're spandex and polyester, not cotton.

2. If you get an infected follicle, treat it with some kind of Antibiotic ointment, like Polysporin. This helps kill the bacteria or fungus. 3. This a weird one, but try using some Head and Shoulders on the skin between your thighs. It contains Selenium, which can treat an infection that's already present, and help prevent one from occurring.
Hope this helps

I'm not sure what it is and it freaks me out. One showed up out of nowhere when I was working last night. It seemed like a large zit on the inside of my thigh. This morning, I touched it to see if it had gone down, but it turned red. As soon as I touched it, it popped. It shot deep, red, blood across my bathroom. The blood splatter was five feet high and six feet from where I was sitting. After it popped, it let out a steady stream of blood down my leg for about six minutes. I put a non-stick bandage on it and wrapped it with medical tape. It stings like heck, but it hasn't bled through the bandage yet. What shoul I do?

They are blood boils guys. They usually appear around areas where you have had a boil before. The pockets are really deep and that is why they fill up with blood. They do have puss mixed in and that is why is has such a deep red color. After you pop them scrub with a hot soapy wash cloth. Repeat the scrubbing twice daily and it will heal just fine.

I have the exact same problem. I gained weight in the last 3 years and this problem started about two years ago, after it pops by itself or I do sometimes, it leaves a scar. I never bothered to look down there until now. It is almost a black bump, I took a needle and a mirror.. With a tissue ready, I slowly pit the needle toward the top of the lump, until it broke through the skin (gross). Immediately, I saw the blood come out, it wasn't a lot of blood, maybe several drops but this made it go down alot. I am on my period now and like many of you, it got worse so that's why I had to pop it. My thighs run together and I know it has to do with my weight too
