hi, I have been experiencing this problem for over a year now. I have a burning sensation in the groin region and thigh. There is no sign of redness or rash now, there was about a year ago, but it went away. When I saw the doctor about that time he thought it was just a fungai infection and gave me cream which cleared up the redness/itch. However, the burning sensation still stayed, I seen the doctor several times again but he just prescribed different creams that just didn't work. I gave up going to the doctor thinking it would go away by itself soon enough, but it's been over a year now. The burning calms down when I am not active, but when I am active for a day it increases. I can't sit still due the burning, and now especially since school started it's going to be a problem again. Can anybody help here?
Did you ever learn what was causing the burning - I am having VERY similar symptoms. Any info would be very appreciated.

Hey tri123. i have this problem too. well with research i think i've narrowed it down to the burning being caused by an inflammatory acid in the body called PGE 2. i'm still looking of ways to supress it but fish oil and borage oil/evening primose oil, Vitamin C and other formulas taken in high doses might help. what other symptoms do you have?

I exercise modestly..but I walked 12 days in a row 2-3 miles & did swing dancing at night 2-3 hrs for 4 nights..the 12th day I had walked a mile when both of my thighs had a burning.sensation.and I had a ache in my left groin..I went to the Dr.-he said my circulation in my legs were good..He thought I had overextended my tendons/muscles..said to swim 3 times a week resting evvery other day..said my tendons in the back of both legs were short and stiff..after about a week..my hamstrings strarted to ache along with my knees..the burning sensaion comes and goes and this had been going on for 60 days..my knees and hamstrings ache tend to come and go but the burning sensation comes back if I stand too long..Has anyone had this problem and could I get a sense of direction of what I should be doing..tks

might seem strange but thats one of the symptoms we have found for excessive ejaculation/overmasturbation. do you have masturbate frequently? also do you take borage oil or evening primose oil? let me know more of your symptoms.

SO IF BURNING THIGHS IS A SYMPTOM OF MASTURBATION WHAT WOULD BE THE SOLUTION, THIS BURN HAS BEEN GOING ON 2 YEARS NOW WITH NO RELIEF. IT ONLY OCCURS WHEN SITTING.
NO MASTURBATION IN 10 DAYS AND SEEMS WORSE.

Damn, I'm having the same symptoms (I think). I'm worst when burning but always have the ache (bilateral) and sometimes it seems to lead to my hips with a burning sensation. No masturbation here for 6 days and even then only once in the last 3 weeks I've been having symptoms. Negative for every test so far. :(

I'm having that same problem but I found that mine is caused by excessive sweating. I had it last year its from my boxers rubbing and keeping sweat in the area. But I also live in Ga so this may not help everyone. Baby powder does help.

Over 4 years now and dozens and dozens of experiments, I get a little releif from using turemic (spelled Wrong) It's for circulation and can be found in mustard. I buy the capules from good health USA and have found some relief but not completely gone. Anybody else find relief?
Remember both thigh and lower buttocks burns only when sitting.

Wow this is a trip. Im having the same syptoms as everyone else except I also get a very sharp pain sometimes inside the crest of my hips. I have been doing some research and have concluded that this may actually be a nerological problem. Such as a pinched nerve or a problem with the sciatic nerve which extends down into the groin.

Well I finally starting to see alot more post on here, Since the doctors can't figure it out maybe we can together. Maybe it is something we are eating, doing or something with our jobs. I sit most of the day and I do drink alot of Mt Dew. I have cut way back on it but to no avail. remember it only happens when sitting and sometimes when a stand it feels like my legs are weak but feels good because my thighs are not burning. I have tried all type of herbs for inflamtion and circlation and maybe helped very little if at all. Some days are not as bad but most are.
The days its not as bad I get my hopes up thinking maybe its going away but does not. Maybe we can find a commom thread among us that could be causing the issue.
1. I do not eat brakfast
2. very seldom eat lunch
3. have a big dinner in evening
4. Iam 6'3" 205lbs not overweight
5. Do not get much excersise
6. I have psorisais on elbows and buttocks
7. have fungus on toenails and left finger nail for years
* also need to learn how to spell better
Any others out there with similaities
Thanks Gregg

I went to the doctor with this issue and was given Flagyl to treat a suspected infection , while on flagyl the burning stopped but 2 -3 days after coming off the antibiotics the burning returned....back to the doctor and another course of antibiotics was supplied, again burning sensation subsided only to return once the course was completed.... . not sure what to do with it

My story is similar. But, I can provide some info.

I get burning sensation on my groin area (mainly on right side, but at times on left side too). I sit a lot. 8-10 hours a day with little or no break.
My symptoms:
1. Numbness/tinkling on right foot
2. Burning on right groin//right buttock
3. tinkling on right side of upper body. it extends to shoulder area

Standing and walking relieves this.

I was involved in a car accident and my doctor suggested physiotherapy. Few weeks in physio therapy, I started having tinkling/numbness on my right buttock. I complained this and they said it is normal. Then suddenly one day I started having numbness on my foot. First time it happened, it went away. But, it came back in a day or two. Then, as per my doctor's advice, I stopped physio therapy. I took MRI and the nerve doctor said he could identify anything with the nerve that would cause the issue I have.

This is bothering me much.

If any of you who posted this found a solution, please post, so that others like me will be thankful.

My thighs and general crotch area is itchy and hot. Sometimes it feels as if my neurons are overstimulated, as if they are extra sensitive to rubbing, sweat, heat. It started a month ago on a trip to a hot climate.I also feel a pressure on the base of my penis sometimes. In general it is not painful just so $%@#$ uncomfortable, especially if I am sitting in class. I am negative for all other tests. Has anyone though it could be back problems/ pinched nerves that are causing the senations in the front area?
