I was wondering from couple of days if any one has ever gone through this kind of situation, but i feel happy to see people like me which gives me strength and make me feel strong about my situation, as i also have been going through this exact situation of pain in my left hand and heart burning condition, I went to hospital with a sever left hand pain along with chest pain, i was told to go under ecg test which was fine and normal, later i insisted them to do any other tests so that i can feel safe, upon my request they also did a test called, TROP-I (troponin-i) and that was also negative and i was fine is what they told me, since then i was having these kind of pain in left hand and chest pain, don't know if any update comes for this.
I am having the same problem. Tomorrow is my echo and lets hope everything will be fine. I am in tention coz i am worring this is due to heart.
Eat a green pepper. That should help with heart burn.
I'm 15 and I'm worried about the symptoms I'm having these are some of them:
- chest pain in left and right sides
- burping
- weird stomach sounds

I'm have every single symptom are you are now. Did they find out what was wrong with you. This c**p is killing me.
I have been reading through this entire thread. So glad I found it, as I've been having all these same symptoms for the last few years, like everyone else I thought it was my heart. Short of having an invasive procedure like an Angiogram done, I've had every test imaginable. They say my heart is fine. I'm 39 years old. Finally went to a GI doc, endoscopy looked great other than a bit of inflammation right where my stomach and esophagus meet, but not bad at all. I always notice the symptoms are worst when I have been drinking too much, then I lay off the booze and they "mostly" go away. It's just crazy odd stuff like others have said, even numbness in my face, and I'm thinking how the hell can acid reflux cause the left side of my face to feel numb.
I felt compelled to reply to this one post because it is the first person I have seen mention any skelto-muscular stuff. I am now realizing that I have carpal tunnel on the left side, so all this time that I have been feeling numbness and such in my left arm I think could be related to this.
It's just another thought of what to watch for.

My husband 39yrs old has all the same symptoms. It started last February, woke him up at night with tight chest, burping and numb right arm. Went to ER,Dr. thought it was a heart attack. Hooked him up to machines and after ruling out it was not sent him home and follow up to see his Dr. He has had x-ray which were fine. Stress test his heart is also fine. Upper GI scope was fine, biopsy also came back fine. Took stool sample, again fine. The burping is non stop for hours at this point.Dr said it was Gerd because of the pain in the middle of his ches put him on protonix!!!! Back into ER gave him some type of I've concoction however it helped stop the burping and made him sleep. Had a ct scan of the abdomen as we thought maybe it was the gallstones. Nope nothing showed on ct. Follow up with Dr and put him on a depressant not sure why. The only thing that is helping somewhat is a anti anxiety for when the symptoms come on. We have spend a ton of money and the Dr cannot figure out what is going on so they tell him he is making himself burp.....we have also tried gas pills which help a little but does not take the burping away. We have now requested a second opinion and await the answer if they find anything.
Anything on your visit?
Hi everyone,
My mom has had this problem since I can remember. My childhood was filled with emergency rooms and doctors and hospitals. Her symptoms are similar to what all of you described: chest pain, bloating, nausea, stomach pain, numbness, dizziness, disorientation... One time in the ER they did a pH test and found acid in the blood. They cleaned her up and she was better. She would have followed treatment but she was pregnant at the time and worried about its effects. Apparently it's a one time opportunity. She was also struggling with the hormonal imbalance of premenopause at the age of 39, so joined together she almost died. She got cancer after that and was given medal for heartburn which put off these symptoms alot. Before, she couldn't even drink water, but now she can eat and drink most foods. This past week though, she ended up in ER again. The insurance wasn't covering the med anymore, so she decided no take it anymore. That day, she began feeling numbness in her legs, and then she couldn't walk. As she approached the hospital, she couldn't speak anymore. All this seems to be linked to heartburn or a form of extreme heartburn. I'm currently 19 and already have heartburn. I've seen a few forums with similar stories to yours. I'm glad and sad at the same time to find people who have suffered this. I think that as more people come out, the doctors will be forced to address this since only one doctor took my mother seriously. The rest sent her to a psychiatrist.

Just dealt with exactly all the same stuff. Get a gastric stomach emptying test to test for gastroperesis
I am suffering from the same problem I feel lack of oxygen,my body shakes I feel too cold I wanna throw up but I only burp I suddenly feel like I am in another world I can't feel my own hands so dizzy I feel paranoid.its more like a attack which starts within couple of days when I feel my upper center abdomen has pain n burning sensation I feel fatigue during a day n night and later on day comes when it becomes worse,I get up paranoide I feel like I can't breath then I feel I can't feel my own hands or body like my soul is not in my body.i turn all the lights on and try to find a place where I can breath,it's like when you get too high on weed n get paranoid after my brain stops functioning well for a while.idk what's causing it n why.it scares me mentally too much I feel like I am flying in the air or going to get unconscious n never wake up.
My mother has heartburn/ acid reflux for years.we did everything to cure it changed so many doctors nothing worked out and I got the same problem like my mom.only diffrence is when symptoms get worse in my case I feel lack of oxygen, feel numbness in body, cant feel my own hand when I touch with my other hand,I feel the loss of feeling in my legs too during that moment i can't walk if walking might fall down ,extremely paranoid like I need an emergency I will pass out or else I might go completely unconscious forever,my body stops responding too much.i got diagnosed, some doctors told I have anxiety disorders ,others told I have acid reflux,Some people told it's the gastric that sometimes travels through the head idk what to believe.i have heard carom seeds helps some for acid reflux n heartburn.
I think it's something related to acidity my mom has the same problem as well as me but I have more severe symptoms I was told by my grandma that people having gastric or acidity problem should avoide soury food and fried food no cheese or dairy product that has excessive sugar just plane n balanced diet n exercise.
As I said before, my mom ended up in the ER last week. The doctors "couldn't find anything". Since she came in unable to walk and speak, they thought it was a stroke so immediately did check up on that, although they all came in normal. Since they couldn't find anything, they sent a psychiatrist and they gave her a paper saying her diagnosis was general anxiety disorder.
The doctor's made her a follow up at a family health clinic, where the doctor just repeated what the doctor's in the ER told her. Once again, they recommended a psychiatrist. My mom refused. Back in the day, she was sent to a psychiatrist, and she went forcefully because she was threatened by social services to take me and my sister away. My mom started hearing things due to the medication, and because she refused the brain-washing, the psychiatrist sent her out to never go back. So this time around, my mom completely refused to go back to that hell. The doctor insisted and my mo told she wouldn't and asked if the doctor had any knowledge about acidosis, and she said yes, and once again insisted she needed to go to a psychiatrist. My mom once again refused and left.
For one thing, this diagnosis isn't the first time she's heard it either. She heard it one time before during a visit to the ER back in the day. Since then, though, my mom hasn't been able to find that doctor again.
My theory is this: it is acidosis. I am still not sure of the cause, it could be kidney failure or hormonal imbalance. Either way, it causes sensibility and an overreaction of types in the nervous system. Basically, what was explained to my mom was that these acids are entering the bloodstream, something that it should never do, because it makes the blood more acidic and cause problems. Part of the problems caused in the nervous system include anxiety and the such because the excess acid disturbs the normal nervous system chemical signals. This anxiety and paranoia isn't due just because of the abnormal acid levels and overreactions in the body, but also because logically, it is your natural response to something you know that isn't right and that you don't know what it is.
For one, I recommend to mention acidosis to your doctor and to take blood test to measure the pH in blood for its acidity. Also, look into having hormonal imbalance you might have. My mom had this due to pre-menopause, which later caused breast cancer. Another thing, drink water to alleviate the symptoms. My mom was dehydrated and so they hydrated her. The time before that they had to clean her blood from all that acidity. Whatever she ate made her sick, even water. Please look into it. My mom is trying as well. She is taking a medicine and things seem to be better, but for me, as her daughter, I hope to find answers. Answers to why I think visits to the ER as a child were normal, or sleeping smelling your mom's clothes because that was the only comfort you could find when she was once again in the ER. I see lots of people have similar symptoms, and I hope the doctors are also looking into it.
