For all who feel numbness with GERD,
Keeping your vitamin D level at the optimum level will decrease your numbness and tingling. I experienced the same neurological symptoms with GERD, now after taking vitamin D supplement, feel much better. the chest pain is also gone alhumdullALLAH

Get tested for H. Pylori. I have the same symptoms, as soon as I treated with amoxicillin and clarithromycin my symptoms quit. The 1st treatment the symptoms went away immediately and stayed away for a month. Tested positive again through breath test, so treated again. Again symptoms stayed away for a month. I'm going to get tested again. Another main symptom for me is pain in my tailbone. I think its from the stomach pushing on a nerve from all the inflammation.

I would suggest you might have an undiagnosed anxiety or panic disorder. They're very fun, very mysterious, and have all sorts of really fun psychosomatic effects.

Thats normal with gerd. I too experiencing all of this symptoms; chest pain(sometimes pressure sometimes sharp pain esp in left side), discomfort in left arm, shoulders and upper back, neck, throat, dizziness and belching(really annoying). At first i thought it was a heart attack. Im 24 male btw. It started 7 months ago. When i first went to the er the doc told me it was hyperventilation with anxiety. I then went to a cardio reqsted for echocardiogram and lots of ecgs but came out normal. Cardiologist said it might be gas. So i went to a gastroenterologist and found out that i have GERD. The gastroenterologist said that it makes all the symptoms worst if you combine it with anxiety. Until now im still having these symptoms but im already trying to control my diet. I eat alot of veggies and at night i drink apple cider 1tbs with 1 glass of water to ease the chest pain and control the acid reflux. It also helps to move a lot or sweat alot. Hopes this helps.

I went to the hospital 3 times in a year because all these symptoms give me anxiety. It really sucks when the doctors tell you not to worry but I feel like I'm suffering. I can't sleep good I get constant " heart burn" I just want to feel better

Same here! I'm 29 and feel like I'm 90 :( I've had all this for 6 months now, it was almost better 2 months ago after taking lansoprazole - but then I moved house and it came back much worse! My chest hurts when i bend over or lift something - like a cramp pain. Think it all began after i lifted a really heavy cabinet. Even getting pains in my ribs, major middle back ache and weak legs. I've worried I might have cancer or something else awful. I often have to lift my 2 year old and get the kids to school which is starting to feel like a massive and painful task. Going In for a blood test tomorrow :/ I hope you feel better soon

I am looking for answers for a 47 year old friend who is having sharp pain in his left abdomen which radiates upwards to his chest and into his right shoulder. It makes no sense to me. I thought gall bladder, but no fever, intermittent pain, clear urine. Must note be is a chef...bad diet...too much Budweiser...any thoughts?
