Hi guys I'm 40 and been smoking week since I was 16 I finally quit last week and body is so tired. My eyes are so heavy all day. I'm in a bad mood can't stand being talked to. I guess I'm not alone reading all these notes makes me feel better. I also lost a lot of weight and was worried something was wrong but my body is probably going nuts. I'm so happy I quit I was spending almost 200 bucks a week buying real good bud but no mas.

Mate, some things you say are correct. No one wants to be addicted to drugs. You are very young and have the opertunaty to explore and travel etc. You smoked for a few years. A lot of people here smoked for years. It is proven that pot is addictive. It’s a natural instinct for both humans and animals to get high because it feels good. Yes, people need to want to stop and want to deal with issues from the past which will come up when they stop taking their drug of choice. I hope you acheave what you want in life but don’t be fooled that later you can smoke a little now and then. It leads back to addiction very fast. I’m 47 and have made that mistake several times. The old saying that one is too many and a thousand is not enough is so true with any addiction.

Excellent point. I'm 50 years old smoked some of the best for 30 years + quit for a few months to pass drug test. I'm sleepy I the day time unlike before. I've decided to quit for good and it's different than other times I've stopped. I'm wondering if it's the potency of this 2018 weed and all the edibles that are concentrated making me tired/sleepy. Whatever it is I notice my symptoms and although they are not that bad I'm wondering why and how this happened. Tennis

What a relief to read this. I’m 67, in excellent health, and have been daily smoker for at least 20 years. 3 weeks ago I decided to stop. And did, easily. No mood changes, no anxiety, no cravings. ( my thoughts are not as interesting, however). Clearly, using Cannibis had run its course. However, I’ve been so fatigued and I contacted my doc who told me “there are nasty viruses out there, you must have one”.
My intuition told me not so, and I’ve been trying to find ANYONE who has had this response to quitting. No one and no article validated this, until you all! One irony is I wanted to stop because I got tired of being tired from smoking! I feel better knowing what this is and I’m sure it will end soon.
The medical profession is mostly useless with information on Cannibis. Power to the people on this.

Thank you for addressing that very naive comment about diet and anemia. I'm glad you were snippy with your reply, it was a lot nicer than I would've been. I quit weed 2 weeks ago after smoking all day every day for nearly 20 years. My level of fatigue is off the charts, especially the last 3 days. Combing the internet for something to tell me I'm normal and not dying of anything awful- And I came across this thread. Was also looking for answers as to how long I can expect this to continue- Thank you for the 1 month forecast. I have found some stuff that helps- Powerade Zero for the electrolytes, Emergen-c for the vitamins, and cranberry for the cleanse.

I’ve been a heavy smoker for 19 years with the last 3 being pretty obscene with the amounts I was smoking. I’m only two days in. The first day I had tons of motivation to get things done. But by that night I was beyond exhausted but still had trouble falling asleep. Today I have 0 energy. I’m usually a pretty energetic guy so feeling like this is very unusual for me. Anxiety and irritability is through the roof. I’ve also been sweating profusely. To the point where it becomes visible on my shirt in my chest and underarms. I stopped so I could stop procrastinating on certain things that I had been. But I find myself procrastinating more today because of how tired I am. I am glad to see that I’m not alone in this.

I’ve smoked weed everyday (often multiple times a day) for 4 years and I just recently stopped about 3 days ago and I have never been more tired. I also noticed that I’ve been waking up multiple times during the night, and sweating a lot during my sleep. (Even with the fan on full blast) But when I do think I’ve gotten a full nights rest, I will still feel tired and drowsy all day. Someone help a girl out

It's been 5 days for me and I'm struggling to get through my workouts and don't have as much energy as usual. I think it's partly toxins being released and partly your dopamine levels are going to be low for awhile as they rebuild. I def am not quitting smoking forever, I think weed will be more enjoyable to enjoy it as a balanced activity. Being able to get high every once in awhile without any withdrawals would be great.
