Wow. This is my second time quitting and I have had that feeling of being high even when I haven't smoked weed both times. It's random during the day. I just feel drowsy then a little spaced out. Running seems to help me the most.

Absolutely! I was a daily user for several months and quit cold turkey. I am on week three of detoxingand have been extremely fatigued the past 2 weeks - sleeping 8-12 hours/night and struggle to stay awake during the day. Wondering how much longer this will last....

I'm on day 14 and am completely exhausted. Never been this tired in my life. Daily smoker for over 15 years. Can't wait for energy to return. Glad to know I'm not alone!

I have been a daily smoker for the past ten years with the exception of quitting when I fell pregnant and while I was breastfeeding.  My partner was smoking well before I met him, and all up he's been smoking for twenty years.  Not that long ago I was feeling very depressed, moody, and was crying all of the time.  I realised that smoking wasn't helping and this has been the driver for me to quit smoking.  My partner has joined me in quitting, but he still wishes to smoke a few joints over the weekend.  I thought that instead of having a drink I could also indulge in having a few joints over Friday and Saturday night.  My concern after reading all of these posts is that the cannabis remains in my system and this horrible tired feeling I've been experiencing will not go away.

Can anyone who has moved from being a daily smoker to a weekend casual smoker let me know how they have felt over time.  Are you still feeling tired

Hey sleepy quitters. I'm 13 days sober after 13 months of straight smoking heavily everyday and I'm so tired. Especially around noon time before lunch and around 3 or 4 everyday. I also experienced anxiety for the first week due to my body not being used to dealing with everyday life without MaryJane. I thought I was pregnant but according to all of you it is from my body releasing the toxins. The 11th day was the hardest because all I wanted to do was have a few tokes since I was so fatigued and didn't have any energy. Coffee doesn't really work anymore which sucks. I just hope this doesn't last too long. The reason I quit was to focus more on my college courses but now I can't even focus on it and all I want to do after work is sleep. So maybe if I drink more water and carnberry juice, I may be okay. Thanks for all the advice guys I'm happy I ain't the only one dealing with the tiredness.  Keep up all the good work and we got this! I can't wait to be done with this semester so I can treat myself to a joint : D

I go through periods of heavy smoking followed by long detox periods and it takes me at least a month to get over the tiredness. I micro sleep at my desk in the afternoon, I go to bed early. I also get a slight burning / tingling sensation in my skin. Happens everytime I quit. It's not diet-related.

I am on my first day off weed. I smoke all day every day for 15 years (including pregnancy and breastfeeding, very bad I know - but I was an addict,) made the desicion to get the monkey off my back and I'm sure I'm gonna stick with it. On my very first day I'm finding that I am dead tired. Small cravings are not as bad as I thought but the fatigue is killer!! Was not at all expecting this, as was expecting quite the opposite.

I'm so glad I read your post! I recently quit as well and am sooooo tired as well. I think its the change in brain chemistry. I'm a medical student and it is to my understanding a side effect of quitting erb.

I quit also after 5 years of smoking and now I'm taking naps in between the day.I believe our body is making a clean transition.

It does makes sense because your body is pushing out all the stored THC in your fat cells. It's a cleansing process that takes extra energy and with the reduced appetite, you have less calories coming in to use. Also, you brain is trying to reconfigure the hormones it was getting from the drug and now has to readjust. The brain takes up a lot of energy, so imagine what it must be like when it is trying to heal from years of hormonal influence.
