Hi, My name is Britt. I'm so sorry to hear you have been/ or may still be going through this. Your stories here are a bit like mine. I am 30 and this all started for me before my birthday. I was hanging with friend's all day. Around 4pm I got a funny feeling on my left side, above my hip area. I felt as I may start my period. It became hard walk due to the pain. After that the pain became worse. The next day Sat Nov 15, 2015 is when I started spotting. A pink brown spotting. That following Monday I went to the ER. I was told I had an infection.

The pain was bad that I was put on bed rest for 20 days. All the while spotting light. With maybe a day of nothing. I went back to the ER because I then started having chest pain. My heart was fine so I was sent home. It is now Jan 6th 2016, I now the same symptoms as you....with a heavy flow as of yeasterday. As with a drak spot on my thigh, and tingling feelings just beliw skin, on different parts of my stomach. I hope & pray you are well now. But I was wondering if you figured out what was causing this problem you? Please contact me if you can.

Thank you!

I had a similar situation. From puberty into adulthood, I had practically constant bleeding and extreme pain. For several years no one could find anything wrong with me. My hemoglobin was super low, and I was practically hemorrhaging all the time and having so much pain that I often had to be given very strong painkillers that would knock me out unconscious so that I could endure the pain.Several doctors and tests found nothing wrong with me. The doctors would say that some people just had bad periods and unfortunately I was one of those. I kind of accepted my situation as part of life. When I got pregnant for the first time at 21 I continued to bleed through my pregnancy. My pain and bleeding was mild during the pregnancy so I was happy about that, but worried about the baby. Ultrasounds showed nothing. However, I was unable to progress in labor and had a C-section. When they opened me they found I had a 24 cm tumor in one of my ovaries, I had a teratoma of tissue that could not be seen in an ultrasound. It was taken out and immediately my periods became light, short and without pain for the first time in my whole life.

Six years later, my periods became heavier and started to have pain again. Had a cyst removed on the other side. Six years later my periods became heavier and started to have pain again. My hemoglobin also went down from 15 to 12 (I never had anything below 13 after my teratoma was removed). I went to my Gyn who sent me for a US. US found only a small cyst, not big enough to remove. Since my hemoglobin was low, I also went to my gastro for a check because I previously had bleeding ulcers. When he touched me he asked me about my latest GYN check. He felt something and he said -- it is not a cyst. He sent me for a CT Scan that showed that my teratoma grew back. Teratoma and other tissue based growths don't show on Ultrasounds. I had a 9 cm teratoma removed with the only ovary that I had functioning. I went into menopause in my 30s and went into HRT.

After a decade, my period came back -- it doesn't want to go away. Changes in medications have not taken it away.
Cervical biopsies and ultrasounds show nothing. I don't get why the GYN love Ultrasounds so much. I have told them I don't trust them as twice already I had growths that did not show in US, but they keep me sending to get Ultrasounds that find nothing. I have been in this for almost a year, and eventually they will find what's going on. Something I learned is that is not normal to bleed all the time, and it is also not normal to have pain with your period.

Hey guys I'm 23 and had the Same problem bout 4 years ago now. Was bleeding constantly for 6 months with 1 day break every week. I was on both the pill and the implant in this time changed the birth control to see if it would help. I ended up with such bad mood swings I had to take myself off all contraceptives. Now I have no problems at all am back to a regular cycle. It worked for me maybe it'll work for others hope this helps

I've been having my period constantly for about 9 months now... the doctors don't seemed concerned, but it sure as hell is annoying and a bit disturbing.

Last year my period started acting up, bleeding straight for months on end. I had heavy, clumpy and constant menstruation. I also had very severe cramps. My gyno did a very through exam that included a transvanginal ultrasound and I had all of the following: a large ovarian cyst, fibroids, and uterine polyps.
I had to undergo surgery to remove the cyst and fibroids, the uterine polyps were removed in the office visit. I had a whole year of regular, cramp-FREE periods after that.
Now, I think the uterine polyps have grown again because I have gone back to constant, clumpy periods. No cramps, though, so I'm grateful for that.

Hey all following. I was (am) having those same issue. I have had PCOS since I was diagnosed at 15, possibly sooner. My husband finally convinced me to go see a doctor and she immediately said "progesterone deficiency" and prescribed me 10 progesterone tabs. We are doing blood work but she is confident and I figure it can't hurt. Literally first day after taking the pill, NO BLOOD. Toak it 3 more days just to be safe and finally had preiod-free intercourse. The day after intercourse, I started bleeding again, even after starting the prescribed birth control. It turns out, the uterus creates a vacuum when you or gas money and can bring on a period for people like me (us), so I've been bleeding again, but will be waiting to see if it stops in a week before taking more progesterone. Just an FYI, there may be an answer! Also, look up endometriosis, common cause and I'm 99% sure I may also have this.
