Hi Wendy- just was wondering how have you been doing since then? I just had mine done on May 8th and I have been bleeding for almost a month now.

Had NovaSure procedure in 2008. Took about 2 months to regulate, but at least now I have a normal monthly period cycle - one I have never had before the procedure & healing process. The only thing that is new is the feeling of sickness, bloating, pressure... when about to have a heavy bleed or clotting because uterus starts to cramp and sometimes feel as though I would vomit. Dr said only way around this would be for a hysterectomy, but I will for now just deal with this by popping Ibuprofin. Otherwise, it really did work as far as reduced bleeding, clotting and duration. : )

Nov 18,2015 I had the nova sure ablation. I turned 50 a few days later.

I had normal 6 day periods up until my mid 40's then the skipped, lasted for ever til the past two years never stopped and were very heavy. They got so bad I had to almost have a iron infusion! I tried the Merina it did stop the bleeding but I thought I was going crazy cause it had too much hormones for this chick, I had it out a few months later.

My dr told me my uterus was larger than normal and the ablation might not work.

So I went to a menopause dr and he said D&C and abalation, so I had it done. Oh lord did I have cramps but I sucked it and they went away and yes it was as bad as labor pains. I had the pinkish brownish for about two three weeks then nothing aahhhh til January 5 after my post op exam I started bleeding lightly, then days later more then stop then light then more then stop! About two weeks ago the bleeding seem to only be when I stood up werid huh, went to my dr he did an ultra sound exam said not bleeding now everything looks good, I have a larger uterus blah blah it still needs to heal, I wake up the next morning bright red! So since then every day I have been bleeding some more heaver than other but only using a thin regular pad. Of course nova sure has no hot line, is this normal or what? Where is the blood coming from? Why is it coming out? Is that a good or bad thing? Will it get worse? Yes it did slow things down but what's the next step, I don't want to lose my uterus help!!!

I am in the same boat! I had my operation March 29, 2016 and non stop bleeding like its blood not brownish discharge! Gyno said its normal and wait another month yet. Then he's said on his way out that's weird ur still bleeding most people are done after 10 days. I said what if it doesn't stop then he said we will just cut ur uterus out! I want that to be the last resort! Help!

I had the nova sure procedure done on April 8 2016 had the discharge. It was dark red and got light and stopped when I went for my follow up on April 21. I started bleeding the very beginning of may for a couple of days then stopped then again on memerial day. Is this normal. I feel like I'm still getting my period but with no syptoms like cramps etc. Need answers.

I had a Novasure done on 3/24/16 and effectively today is 4 months of continuous heavy bleeding and clotting. My Dr. has given me the option of the Mirena IUD but I don't want to have nothing put into n=my cervix for comfort. My option was to stop or at least control the bleeding but when you are wearing a super plus tampon and an overnight pad together its getting out of control. go on Aug.1 to discuss Hysterectomy. So will touch bases back later./

My situation mirrors yours. Just curious whatever happened....did you have the hysterectomy or end up stopping on your own?

Hi, I am 47 and had my NovaSure on Dec 6 2016, Today is Jan 28 2017 and I am STILL bleeding! I had this done so I could be done with this c**p. So this literally makes it 3 1/2 straight months of having to wear pads. What gives? My doc gave me pills to stop the bleeding however, I am trying to lose weight and have a hard time with that and these pills are also for those who CAN'T gain weight, so I did not take them. But why am I still bleeding? This is crazy!
