God itself gave us every seed bearing plant, in the bible, in genesis, look it up. So you now know what's better for mankind than our creator? Self righteous much are you?

If you test positive your first visit but are clean throughout the remainder of your pregnancy and when baby's tested he/she is also clean but cps is still involved after baby's born what happens next?

No it dont the babys stool starts at developing at 6 weeks if you have smoked in the weeks following befor that your baby could have it as soon as the stool develops then weed will stay in the stool as long as the baby is stiil in you. An yes all the ohio doctors will test the stool ur urine an the babys ur in. I kno this for a facted so best thing is not to smoke sweetie its more trouble then ppl think

That means the babys stool is positive for weed. The cps will talk to you come out to ur home make sure you have ever thing for the baby. An if you have other kids talk to them. An then they will have you test again. GTo make sure u r clean

Meconium begins to form between the 12th and 16th week of gestation. Meconium drug testing can detect maternal drug use during the last 4 to 5 months of pregnancy.

Exactly, exactly. Thank you, I am a loving father who is concerned for my son as I know the mother has done drugs during the pregnancy. I am being kept from the birth, but will mention this to my attorney tomorrow. Thank you so much for the reassurance. This post is probably the only one on here that made sense

Wow...CPS. Your comment sounded arrogant and boastful! How dare you categorize these mothers with questions as "abusive/neglectful". What right do you have!? Y'all are mothers/fathers too and I'm willing to bet my life that you've spanked your kids when angry, yelled at them, had a messy house, that they've had bumps and bruises...all reasons that you claim to be " substantial evidence " to remove children from their parents care. I'm 22 weeks (almost 23 weeks) pregnant. At 15 weeks I tested positive (blood work) for cannabis. I stopped at 20 weeks (oh and I was in Colorado where its legal, I stopped when I moved to Kentucky where its not legal). I spoke with my doctor, told her I stopped (which was put in my medical record) and was told I'd get a blood test at 28 weeks. She also informed me that since it was just once, and as long as I don't test positive again they legally can't and don't have to say anything to CPS (so long as the baby has no medical issues). And she said she is very doubtful, and doesn't believe the baby's stool/urine/blood will show THC in it. Keep in mind I have NEVER in my life ever had a positive test before so its not like this is "normal" so there is no reason for my house to be searched either. I have 2 year old daughter who is well fed and taken care of and my house is clean with no "paraphernalia" in it. I dare any CPS worker to tell me they are taking my daughter or unborn baby for no reason...so, before you continue sounding like an arrogant person why don't you try getting off your high horse and realize you are no better than we are!

My friend smoked and it did show up and CPS was called. They say it goes back to your 20 week mark.

I was prescribed to colonzapan and suboxone. I told my doctor and he asked if I wanted to quit. Of course I did, so he put me on a schedule for me to be clean by my 20 week mark, and said everything should be fine. But he did say that if it did show, I would have to take whatever steps needed. So I'm stressed and confused about what is what. But hopefully as long as the baby is healthy and not withdrawing, I'm hoping everything is good, but still worried sick. I wish they could just tell you, yes or no, and how far back it goes.

Sorry you lost your baby, but let's not forget that weed isn't like crack, heroin or pills. Just because one smokes weed during their pregnancy doesn't mean they will not be a good mom. I smoked throughout my pregnancy. In fact the doctor told me to because I refused to take their nausea medication that had a lot more side effects for the baby then marijuana, that it wouldn't harm the baby. There is a reason that many people are for medical marijuana. I quit smoking cigareetes within 3 months of my pregnancy, but you better believe I smoked weed when I was sick. I refused all medicines while pregnant with my baby boy except weed. After he was born I breastfeed him for 19 months and fed him an all organic diet where I made his baby food myself. So when one talks and says someone who uses marijuana (drugs) while pregnant is a piece of sh*t, it bothers me. We live in a shitty world where it's okay to prescribe pain killers made from the same substance as crack and heroin but we can't use a god given herb that was intended for medical use.. Sad

By the way I live in Ohio and was not tested for drugs not one time during my pregnancy and if I was then nothing was said or done about the THC in my system. My doctor was believed marijuana was the best option for nausea though so maybe that played into the factor. My sister in law just had her baby at the SAME hospital and was given a drug test And failed and they called children services on her. And though they probably had good reason to drug test her, I am still unsure of their policy of what causes them to drug test

WOW. If you would rather take a baby away from its mother for simply consuming the while pregnant you are evil. Pot is not heroin not even close . It doesn't make you inadequate im either you were an inadequate mother before you even smoked. Ridiculous that cps would rather take your child from his mother than realize there are 100 million worse things that could've happened. You overlook children that get physically abused everyday but take babies away from loving mothers because they smoked a little weed?

I am 34 weeks and just quit smoking. I was only an occasional smoker throughout my pregnancy, 3-4 times a week. I havery smoked 4 timeso in the last 25 days and I have passed a drug screen for Marijuana in the past, it took 10 days to leave my system. So if I test negative which I believe I will, will everything be ok? I'm a nervous wreck over this.
