My daughter is 15 years old and she was having periods regular until she had 1st shots and she haven't had her period for 2 months. She is not sexually active. I wish the doctors would of said something about this

Hey, did you finally have your periods?

My 13yr old daughter has been suffering since May, missed one period after being regular for 9 months. She has then bled heavily for nearly 2 weeks almost every 2 weeks ever since. We have been to the dr 5 times and all say this is not connected to the injection and normal for her age. Now after reading all the comments I am glad she is not the only one but at a loss why this is not listed as a side effect. I'm just hoping every week she gets back to normal so it doesn't effect her any more. I feel another trip to see the dr if it doesn't change.

I gotten the HPV shot at the end of July. Its now time for me to get the second dose. However I haven't had a period since the first shot. I've taken numerous pregnancy test and they are all negative. I'm highly upset because when I mention this with the doctor she states that missing a period is not a side effect. Judging from this forum and others this is quite common. I wish my doctor would of mentioned this before I gotten the shot. Now im not sure when I will have my period and whether or not I want to proceed with the next 2 doses.

Hi the same problem is happening to me! I haven't had a period since my first shot. How long did it take before your period return? Did you get the other 2 shots. I'm kind of scared to get the second shot because I regret getting this as well!

I got my first shot, then right on time my period showed thought it was weirdly light. I am always very regular (4 weeks) and it is always very painful, after the shot it was very light and painless. Its going on 5 weeks now and my period still hasn't shown. I am sexually active (using condoms) and was getting very worried, this was really nice to find, I do wonder why this isn't listed on the side effect lists.

Hi everyone. Im 18 and have had regular heavy periods ever since I started my period when I was 11. I had the Gardasil shot on 12 December. Everything was normal the first 3 days, arm was not numb or sore. On the fourth day i had light spotting, sometimes it was pink and sometimes it was brown. This went on and off. Last week at work, i felt something happening down there. My panties were soaked in blood when i checked.

I was happy because i thought i was finally getting my period. Nope. Stopped the next day. It is now the 27th of December and im supposed to be on my period. I have the symptoms; cramping, sensitive breasts but nothing. My next shot is in February but reading your comments, i think im not going to get it. I should also add im a virgin.

Hi i'm posted the comment above, just wanted to give an update. Yesterday I had killer cramps and when I checked my pad, it had a little bit of dark red/brown on it. It is currently ongoing but very very light. Hoping this is my period and that it won't go away again. I usually use 2 maxi pads on top of each other because it's THAT heavy but this time it's normal :/ i'm going to wait for my next period in January to make up my mind on wether i'll get the shot.

On one hand,I keep thinking 'I already came this far and got the shot, might as well finish it.' I might have overreacted when I saw other people's comments on the shot. Everyone has said that they were 3 months late etc but I was only 1 day late. We all have different bodies so I might have not been affected as much as some people.

But another part of me doesn't want it because the shot screwed my cycle up. I feel different because i'm constantly worrying if i will ever get back to normal. It might sound weird, but i loved my heavy periods. now i feel scared and unsure. will this always happen? will i spot in-between? these never happened before the shot.

Will update again.

My gyn basically begged me to finish out my gardisil injections...I got the 2nd shot 2 weeks ago and now I'm 3 days late with no signs of it coming (not sexually active at the moment so no chance of pregnancy) however I was supposed to have an iud inserted and now I can't because my period is late and I have no clue when it's coming (you have to be on your period to have it inserted) this basically screwed up all my plans I should have went with my first mind and not gotten the vaccine...not to mention I've had a rather large very painful knot at the injection site for 2 weeks

I have received all three Gardasil shots (I am 27 years old). I had no reaction with the first two except my arm was super sore. I got the third shot a couple weeks ago right during my ovulation days. I am now late for my period and my boobs are very sore (more than usual). I also have a blood vessel that popped in my eye. Not sure if that is related at all, but it is very weird since I don't know how it happened. I feel like I also have thinning hair and I am super tired all the time. I am glad I found this forum, but now I am super scared. I am very much regretting this vaccine.
