Vaseline mixed with tiger balm behind ear and neck. It takes it away for a long time and when it comes back do it again. Works best when building up a sweat.

Go to a GOOD upper Cervical chiropractor that uses knee chest technique! You won't be disappointed. A regular chiropractor does not do what the upper Cervical doctors do. It's totally different. Believe me, I went to regular chiropractors for years before learning about upper Cervical!!!

I have the same problem with puff sound in left ear, I went to doctors they gave me sea sickness tablets, what the doctor said, we have crystals in our neck and some times get out of place which causes vertigo.

I am waiting for an appointment where 2 doctors are going to do a movement on my head to put crystals back where they should be.

No idea if this will work but I am ready to try it.

I don't know if this helps anyone but this is the root my doctor is taking me down.

Please...can you confirm if your ENT specialist confirmed Imitrex as being a cause? I am experiencing these same symptoms. And I also take imitrex as needed. Thank you.

How are you feeling now? Did it go away? I have the same symptoms and after many tests, neurological, ENT doc, cardiologist, they think my heartbeat races and that that is what is making me feel off balance. They want to put me I beta blockers. I feel like they are wrong and are just guessing at what might help.

I have found that sleeping on my side with a neck pillow quiets the sound by putting pressure behind my ear. Try that

I'm so sorry you are going through this and not getting the help you need. You have Meinere's Disease. I can not believe no one is helping you. Especially your ENT. Try Nasonex spray. You need to watch sodium intake. This does not mean salt you put on food. It means read labels because everything has sodium. Google Meinere's Disease and low sodium diet. If you have not started with dizziness that will come along with it. Do you get migraines? I have Migraine Vestibular Disorder. So many ppl deal with this. If you have fb we have a group on there. Migraine Vestibular professional . Best of luck. I feel your pain. Praying for you

Another possibility.......I have Meniere's disease and tinnitus. Several months ago the tinnitus developed into a pulsating or pounding sound. After many tests/doctor consultations, I now believe it may be one of the side affects of bisphosphonate drugs prescribed for osteoporosis/osteopenia. This may affect others with similar situation.
