I think it's more a function of being fully relaxed and into it.
You can probably stimulate yourself to such an orgasm much more easily than trying to get your husband to do it.
Especially if he's that reluctant to talk about sex anyway.

You might try reading the book "Sex for One" by Betty Dodson. She might have some great tips, though not with the goal of squirting.
I think the book was written well before people started talking about it.

okay so ive always been able to squirt, from the very first time i had sex.
