Hello!
I need advice, because something strange is happening to me. For the past two months I am smelling smoke all the time. I keep on asking people around me if they smell it too, but the answer is no. I smell it everywhere/ in gym, in office, at home… Does anyone have any advice what this might be?

I have been smelling cigarette smoke for the last 2.5 years even though none of our neighbors smoked.
Two months ago we moved to another building. Our ground floor apartment has a garden and we have the doors wide open all day but I can still smell the cigarette smoke. Thus that means off to see a neurologist/neuro surgeon as I now think I may have a brain tumor.

I have started to smell cigarette smoke also and I had a bad sinus infection with covid , has anyone else here had covid before the smell started ? Could it be a side affect from the virus ?
I suffer from this too. Non-smoker who despises the smell of cigarette smoke.
I have also read it can be linked to sinus issues, high blood pressure and anxiety. i’ve had an MRI and CT scan and no tumors.
Is anyone else using a CPAP? I think that may be my problem but my eyes burn as well.
This has happened to me after recovering from Covid. When I had covid it wasnt that bad. Fever two days and just got really sleepy for weeks. But not the same now. I constantly smell cigarette smoke and never smoked and no one in my house does. People think I am crazy. Plus I am so tired all the time now. Any one else??/

Can I ask what the outcome ended up being?
I had coronavirus in Sept 21 ( no taste or smell symptoms though), towards the end of October, I started smelling smoke. At first I thought it was the ghost of someone who had recently passed but it’s hung around!! Intermittently it’ll go away, but then comes back and I hate it. I spoke with a GP today having read the online concerns regarding brain tumour and he reassured me it would be highly unlikely ( especially if you have no other symptoms) he did say probably 1 in a million chance. He did ask me about sinusitis/ colds/ issues with the nasal cavity. I’ve had none but I did have a very bad cold when I had coronavirus- he said this could be an interesting link. My GP has said he’d like me to try a beclometasone nasal spray for a month ( this is a hay fever spray and he was going to prescribe but told me it would be a lot cheaper to buy direct from a chemist) and if no change, I have to go back. I’m starting the spray today - fingers crossed!! The spray cost around £5.
I have had this problem on and off for years...I recently realized that it starts up after I spend time in a restaurant or sometimes in other people's homes...my husband suggested that all those places have natural gas! We don't have natural gas in our home...I have found the supplement NAC to be helpful.
I noticed it would flare up after spending time in a restaurant or certain friends homes. My husband said all those places use natural gas...hmmmm.
I've been reading here for awhile and somewhat relieved I'm not alone. I read where someone suggested zyrtec was causing their smelling of smoke constantly and wanted to report back in here...after two days of being off zyrtec, guess what???!!! The smoke smell is gone!!! After three months of that craziness, I'm so happy! I hope stopping zyrtec or maybe another medication will help someone else.

I've also had a clear oozing from my ears around the same time I developed tinnitus in my left ear. Anyone else had a similar thing along side the smell? I'm thinking its connected to frequencies
