After entering my symptoms into Google and reading what has been posted, I can safely say, "Thank goodness I'm not the only one."
Unfortunately, my story is this: Back in 2010 when I was 21, my bottom right wisdom tooth developed an abscess. I was put on an antibiotic to kill off the infection and a week later, the tooth was removed. I was put on Vicodin, which I discovered that I'm allergic to, and had to settle for an ibuprofen cocktail for three days. When I had the x-ray done for wisdom tooth #1, the dentist discovered that I had two extra wisdom teeth - one each on the top left and right side of my mouth behind the wisdom teeth that had already grown in and given me no trouble. The bottom left wisdom tooth was impacted, but was ultimately not removed two and a half years ago because at the time it wasn't bothering me.
Fast forward to now: The extra wisdom teeth are trying to completely grow in and break the gumline, but they can't because of crowding. The back left molar in front of the impacted wisdom tooth chipped five months ago but had not caused me a lot of pain until last month. I have an appointment for later this afternoon to fix... something, but I'm not sure what they're going to do. It has also caused me to have ear infection-like pain, and I really REALLY just want this to be over. Luckily, reading these posts has given me some peace-of-mind, knowing that others have experienced the same problems and had them taken care of with minimal problems, so thanks! I just wish I had this taken care of two years ago when I had the opportunity.
Yes with vanilla extract, you use it as a mouthwash by letting it rest in the affected area in your mouth for 15 minutes or least try. After that you should spit it out using only water to help rinse it out. You may feel some burning once the vanilla comes into contact with the affected area. I have just gotten 2 of my wisdom teeth pulled today so I was in the same pain.
Hi, I have 2 wisdom teeth that are impacted and are trying to break through. top and bottom. the pain in indescribable. tylenol 3 with codeine and lortab does nothing. I mean nothing. advil helps for maybe an hour and only relieves the pain a little. I have face and neck pain and swelling. my lymph nodes in my neck on that side are huge and painful. my jaw can't open and it hurts like heck to even talk. I also have pain in my ear and the lymph nodes in front of my ear are huge as well and are painful as all heck. my cheekbone hurts like heck too. I am taking an antibiotic and lortab with no relief. I can't sleep, I can't eat and can hardly talk. Who would have thought that wisdom teeth could hurt this darn bad. I just hope that getting them out will help and will bring down the swelling b/c my face looks awful.
Wow!!! Similar symptoms for me....I thought I was totally crazy...anxiety, lost a lot of weight, dizziness, felt like I had a vision problem or an ear problem but no doctor could find anything, had trouble sleeping, started having TMJ problems, went to PT because I thought it was related to back issues coming up through the neckjust out of chance I went to the dentist and they asked me if I had been having any pain from my wisdom teeth that needed to come out.I only had them removed 3 days ago, but my head already feels a lot better. Even though I'm a bit swollen and have stitches, I'm SO relieved that all of that pressure is gone from my head! oh my GOSH!!!
you know this thread is 7 years old? lol
I'm 20 and so far I only have two wisdom teeth that are making appearances (Hopefully that's all I have). The one on the top right side of my mouth has been in for a year now and has caused me no problems.
Tonight I started feeling a horrible sore pain in the bottom back left side of my mouth, and the pain sort of radiates all along the bottom left side of my mouth. I felt around back there and sure enough there is a little bit of tooth (my second wisdom tooth) poking through right next to my second molar. I'm worried about this one because the pain is different from when my first wisdom tooth grew in, and I fear it might be impacted.
I have a horrible phobia of needles and surgery=needles! So I'm having a tremendous amount of anxiety at the thought of getting this tooth removed, but I know that I may have to. I don't want this tooth to cause other issues like infection, or crooked teeth (My parents spent 4,000 dollars on braces when I was 13).
Right now the only symptom is soreness with a small amount of swelling, so it's not too bad. Unfortunately I don't have to money to go to the dentist and get this problem fixed...so I guess I'll have to deal with the pain. Hopefully it feels better tomorrow morning.
I am 21 i have a wisdom tooth growing in on my right side i can barley talk or eat, it's almost impossible to swallow, the entire right side of my throat is swollen to the point where their is a large lump inside my neck which is clearly visible from the outside, i have pain in my ear as well my jaw can barley open i intermittently cough up phlegm which is yellowish brown, is this a result of my wisdom teeth, it gets worse by the day.
Thank u sooo much to all who wrote a post on this !!! For 6 days now , I have had all of the symptoms listed above. I am 37 , got lower wisdom teeth out at age 18 , this pain now regarding an upper one is brutal !! The left side of my face is throbbing with pain , especially along my jaw line . The pain shoots up my face , and causes nasty headaches , nausea, and dizziness, and pain in my ear. I can barely open my mouth , let alone bite into any food . This is horrible !! I just started antibiotics , they have not kicked in yet .. :( I have prescription ibprofen , that I seem to b popping like candy .... grrrr... I have had many tooth problems in my day but , this time seems to be the worst !! Ice packs do provide a small amount of relief . My left cheeck was extremely swollen before I added the ice . Sadly , my upper right wisdom tooth is under the gum line , so I may b dealing with this same issue in a few months, when that one breaks through. I cant attend classes at this moment . I cant focus on important tasks right now . This is sooo distracting ... I hope this validates thoughts that someone else may have regarding their own wisdom tooth problems ... I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy :( P.s -- Dentist nearby cant see me for a week , Hence starting the antibiotics from family doctor now. ..
:-|I have those same exact syptoms and it's getting worse. I have been tested for many things only for the drs. to say I'm in perfect health. Then I thought I'm losing my mind until now. The drs. diagnosed me with anxiety as well and even gave me pills. I never took the pills because I new they were wrong. Thanks a lot..
MD are NOT educated on tooth infections or dental issues They do not know about t mercury/silver poisioning caused by filling If you suspect mercury poisoning skip the blood test my MD suggests the mercury challenge test. Mercury is more toxic that arseni c or lead think about it a few years back they put sargente paste- which has Formaldyde in filling they are using it today in the UK !! FindING a top biolgical or holistic dentist , preferably one that uses ozone IS KEY
WIsdom teeth impactions/ or tooth infections gum infections cause some serious symtoms . The root canaled teeth are all infected and drip infection that can make you deathly ill to the point of being disabled get all the root canals teeth extracted and implants put in (porcelain is nonreactive) please do not wait until your health is comprimised the virulent toxic infections that Dr Price case studies revealed will take you down possibly down into the ground ! This is not to scare anyone but to wake you up to the realities that exist do your research and know before your go so you make the right decisions. Teeth infections can be fatal if not addressed swiftly MD do NOT have the answers when it comes to dental issues I see awarenss is now growing fast regarding dental issues.
Dental issues such as root canal or tooth infections cause 70 percent of illnesses here are only some of the symptoms from dental infections, teeth impactions and root canaled teeth infections : Dizziness, flu like symptoms, exhaustion, wheezing, shortness of breath, chills, rash, nausea ,vomiting, ear pain, eye pain light sensitive and hearing sensitity grinding or clenching your teeth, because the body is agitated by infection, sinus infection, weakness some report anxiety. The adrenal glands get shot from working overtime and the liver overloaded from the infection. If you go through this find an expert to help build your immunity back up .
When the MD hear the symptoms they will think you have Lymes because the symptoms look like it, but it is NOT Lymes I was tested four times and all the test were NEGATIVE YIPEEEE!!! Tooth Infections, root canal infections and a gum infection above a bad tooth looks like many similar symptoms to Lymes infection which is so hard to believe.
Also know tooth infections, gum infection, infected root canaled teeth are notorious for effecting the heart ... Carditis infection of the heart valves if it is caught early totally fixable, if not then there will be damage. Some dentist now suggest women with silcone implants take antibiotcs before teeth cleaning because they found this area is vulnerable to serious infections. The whole implants scene is scary and so dangerous SO NOT Worth your life and the risks! A good friend was hosptialized with Meningitis ...so sick he took an early retirement then a year later at church he had a seriously bad root canal infection that we suggested our holistic dentist, but he went back to his old fashion dentist and had the whole thing redone and it was reinfected! We were scared for his life we tried talking to him but wanted to save money by seeing his old fashion dentist! SO NOT WORTH IT . My husband said, I recall reading that a root canal infections can cause meningtis,...I was shocked that this could of been even a possible reason for him to become disable and lose so much of his precious life. Now I see someone with a mystery illness I ask them dental questions. I hope to God this post helps someone
