I had an abortion on JUne 11 2012, and i was 5weeks preg that time...though abortion is illegal in my country, i secretly bought meds from black market. I also experienced irregular period after abortion... Before i have my menstrual period for 6 days , but now after the abortion i only bleed for 3 days and light period unlike before i have heavy periods. .... and I feel so bloated right now... but i tested every week until now. but i was negative... i dont know why im so bloated, i want to back my normal period :( :(

Hi, I'm in the same boat. I just turned 16 and had an abortion in January last year and had a birth control injection that lasted 3 weeks afterwards. My period has never been the same. I get it every 1-2 weeks and it last about 2-4 days. I'm too scared to go to the doctors incase its something serious :(

it happens to me as well but most of the times it is said that females get pregnant during such time.so its quite normal

Thank you so, so much for these posts. I had an abortion last month and I missed my period for this month. I had unprotected sex last week--- well kinda. He put it in for about 2 minutes and took it out because we didn't have condoms, then he rubbed it against my clit for a few minutes but didn't ejaculate inside of me. Long story short, I'm scared to death & took a test that was faintly negative. My period is about 4 days late and I'm freaking out but these posts give me hope. Thank you

I have had an abortion 2 years ago with my previous partner, but we have now separated. Ever since my abortion, my body has changed dramatically, my never get my periods at all. I have been to the doctors and they said its normal?? I have now been in a 3 yea relationship with my new partner and we plan to get married this July. We have been having unprotected sex for almost a year and still I have not fallen pregnant :( We have seen the doctors several times for the both of us and still they say the same thing... I don't want to give up. I really want to start a family but I don't know what Im doing wrong... please help?

I had an abortion and my menstral flow hasn't been normal since then,its been brownish n only last for three days ,d flow is always very light. Complained to my Doctor who gave me some birth control pills to use,after d dosage my next flow was very ok but after dat d nxt one was brownish again n it has been lik dat until nw. Am 7 days late now,and am nt pregnant.am so worried,scared of seeing a Doctor. Wat could b wrong? Wat am I suppose to know

my problems have been a little more long term :/ 

i had a medical abortion in August 2010, at the age of 20. Its now been nearly three years since, and my periods still havent seemed to come back to normal!! Before falling pregnant, (I was on the contraceptive pill since the age of 14 for heavy, painful periods) so my cycle was always like clockwork: id start getting a few cramps a day or two before my period was due, and i could usually predict almost down to the minutes and hours when I'd start bleeding. They'd go for about 5 days, and were perfectly healthy (not too heavy and minimal cramping). Still, after these three years, my periods are all over the place! My last one went for over 13 days and my current one was due 4 days ago and hasnt even started.. ive taken a pregnancy test on a regular basis (because after falling pregnant while on the pill, I've become a little paranoid over the smallest possible symptoms) but they always come up negative. Could something have gone wrong during the abortion for my poor uterus to be acting like this? Even though I have no urge to have children anytime soon, the possibility of infertility has crossed my mind and worries me :/

Any advice please? :/

I had my abortion on the 22nd of June. I was bleeding for about 2 weeks after it. I got my next period 5 weeks after that. It's been 31 days since my last period and still no sign of my period should I be worried? I don't have tender breasts or nipples they are the same as usual. Sometimes I get a mild cramp, but nothing compared 2 what I had when I was pregnant

We all seem to be in the same boat, this thread began in 2007 and all women have the same issue. I also had an abortion in sep/ 2013. It was medical and I bleed for 2 weeks after. I then had a normal first period, but now am on day 32 and no sign of second period. I am usually 28 days like clock work. I have not had unprotected sex but have become worries contraception has failed. Hence me lying in bed at 1am looking for answers. I am sure I am not pregnant, but after being through the physical and emotional aspects of abortion so recent I am petrified at a late period x

Did you have your monthly? I am in exactly the same boat! Had my abortion Aug 21, 2013 and first period Sept 25th, 2013. I was supposed to start today and now I am scared. Please let me know if you started yours or what happened. Thanks.

This thread has truly put my mind at ease. I had a surgical abortion in August aged 17 and had a normal period five weeks later. My next period came early as I had to use emergency contraception due to a split condom. My period is now 2 weeks late and I was terrified that I was pregnant again. I genuinely had no idea to expect irregular periods but it is comforting to hear that it is normal and I have nothing to worry about. I will consider going back on the contraceptive pill as this thread has suggested that can be beneficial. Thanks to all of you for sharing xxxx

hi, i had a abortion about a month and a half ago and my period is  coming, i think i got mine now but its brown and its off and on? and it smells i think , is this normal what should i do :S.

I had an abortion last year, and since then I have had my period but they have come 3 days late and been really heavy and only lasted a day or two, it also leads to me vomiting and fainting, I had never had this problem before! Someone please help!

Hi ladies. So here's my story. I had an abortion on Jan 3 2014. Since then I had two normal periods 28 days apart. Now I'm 5 days late... took 4 test all neg!!! I started taking xanax which I heard can cause delayed menstruation. I had blood drawn today and will get the results tomorrow. I really don't want another child. Anxiously wating. I wanna bleeeeeeeed!!!!!!
