I came here b/c I have been suspecting coffee as one of the culprits (the major one for me was to stop using any soaps, shampoos, dish detergents, etc. with sodium lauryl (laureth) sulfate (SLS). I suffered for over a decade, and switching to SLS free products, I was free of this horror for three years. But now it's back, although not as bad, and I suspect it's b/c I recently started drinking coffee (I've been a tea drinker all of my life). After seeing your post, I'm going to cut out coffee! Thanks.

SAME PROBLEM HERE with both my hands. I work on a new tv show and we use makeup dirt ,well I thought I had a reaction to it. I now wear gloves as part of my costume instead but it just got worst. it has lasted just about the entire winter this year. also this is the first time I have had this problem. I have tried everything. lotions, steroids, etc... the lotions burn like heck. well yesterday on the set (TV) show one of the ladies just happened to seemy hands and pulled out some special lotion she ordered and put some in my hands . can I tell you oh what a relef it was. I am getting ready to order myself a tube.btw. I will be getting a biopsy ans skin graft next week to find the cause so we can treat the cause instead of the symptoms. I will keep yall posted.

This may be a fungus. I was prescribed a lot of eczema steroid creams but it seemed to only get worse. So I used a cream for my ringworm that I had (so gross) and it cleared up! Try antifungal cream.

I have had this issue since I was in Middle School (13 years old). No one can explain it. I grew up in Kansas and moved to texas when i was 25 and it got worse. I am 32 now and Ive been teaching and coaching the past 7 years and I have discovered the pattern. During football season, im outdoors in the grass, dirt, and dirty middleschool football equipment... my hands break out. Peeling, bubbling, liquid bumps and all. Basketball season I am indoors, no problems with my hands, unless we are losing games (lol) just kidding. But i do notice if i stress it does come stronger. Track season... full blown bubble hands. My solutions, -Hot showers feel good, but made bumps worse. -Bendryl cream, relieves the its during sleeping. -Keeping hands in cool water or aloe lotion feels great. -just wait it out and it clears up after a few weeks. Honestly no one has been able to tell me what it is or how to fix it. I always get eczema, scabies, or ringworm. It cant be all of them.

I suffered with bubbles and soreness on my fingers for years. Nothing would help my skin situation. Finally I found out what is causing this terrible irritation.  I live in NYS and starting reading about poisonous weeds of NY State.  I was amazed since so many of the weeds I have been pulling out of my lawn and gardens are poisonous.  Type in poisonous weeds in NY state of whatever state you live in.  This is a serious problem since most of us live in areas with lawn and weeds. All this mystery stems from your poisonous weeds.  I finally got rid of these terrible bubbles and soreness on my hands just by soaking them every morning in 16 oz of water and himalayan pink salt.  I do it every day in the morning and even apply the mixture all over my body after my shower each day.  I have no more bubbles and soreness on my hands and my skin is like silk.  Just wanted to share this information with everyone who is suffering with this problem.

Try getting hold of a steroid cream called betnavate , it will clear it up sometimes overnight for me and I have it bad on my hands. I have all the symptoms described by most here which for me is caused by gloves with letex in them, soaps except dove and stretchy plasters. You may only be able to get hold of this through a doctor unfortunately.

I have this issue also, but I typically get peeling skin on my middle finger and sometimes on my index finger. When the skin peels off the underneath starts to shrivel with very tight lines (not the same as how my skin shrivels in water). A week or so after my period is over, my finger goes back to normal. But for 2 weeks it begins to look like an old woman's dead finger. Any Doctors out there who can advise on this??? I can't find anything on any official medical sites that refer to this.

My sons very young range 10-17 years old started to do this bubbling and peeling of the hands doctors said eczema then they said scabies finally I went to the hospital for an allergic reaction to the creame for scabies my 10 year old and the doctors there said it was impossible because my children were homeschooled and never around others to catch that and also my ten year old had no hair for the scabies to live or attach to so they diagnosed as fungal and I went and purchased Lamisil cream and it healed it right away! No more issues with it!
