I had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago. My left testicle is fine, but on the right I have a large hard lump right above the testicle. It is the size of a large egg and very uncomfortable. It does not really hurt except too much.
It hasnt changed at all in the past week. I'm told by the doctor it is rare, but likely a hematoma - ie a big arse blood clot in my ball sack.
There are lots of people who have similar conditions. Lucky me, mine if one of the bigger balls.
My question to anyone with similar conditions, is how long can I expect to have my egg ball?
It's screwed up I can't do any proper physical exercise.
How is your ball going? You posted 3 weeks ago and I have an egg sized lump above m right testicle.

I have the exact same symptoms, right testicle pain with a lump right above the testicle the same size. It hurts most of the time but I can tolerate the paint for t most part. Today is my 12 day after vasectomy. I went to c the doctor 7 days after vasectomy for this reason, he said things are fine and that my recover will take longer. He gave me some antibiotics even though I have no infection. I'm getting a second opinion from different doctor on Monday .
Hey I had mine Friday so 6 days ago lots of black swelling on left side and a large lump on left groin above testicle at where they cut me feels like a grape size zit hurts
Had the same issue, mine turned out to be a spermatocele. It's a benign mass that they say can resolve on its own...
I had mine done May 21, 2015. Procedure went well. I took it easy for 2 days, then eased into doing things, washing truck, mowing grass. Went back to work on day 5. I'm a self employed carpenter. Started experiencing pain, like being kicked in balls, worked threw it. I can tolerate a lot, my left nut is fine, the right one has a quarter sized lump above it, and is very tender, with some swelling. I called my doctor, he said continue light duty work, and ice my sack. Acted like this was normal. I,m sorry but there,s nothing light duty about construction work, and if I don,t work I don,t get paid. So I guess I have to suck it up till GOD knows how long. Which I will ! Bit it would have been nice to know the whole truth about this procedure right up front from the doctor. I may have chosen other wise !!!
Day 5 of recovery right side of scrotum is healing nicely but left side over is black and blue and I have abdomen pain on the same side. Hoping things get better by day 7 or calling doctor
I am miserable, going into my 2nd week. Left testicle is being squished by an avocado sized hematoma. For the last 10 days I have been in bed, my wife and kids are sick of it. Advice to anyone doing this, DON'T Just don't. After reading this thread I am felling even worse, I am lucky to have a job that allows me to work from home in bed, if need be. I am furious at myself for getting this done. I will go back to the Dr. tomorrow and ask him what my options are. This will be my third visit back. I have pain above my penis in the "fat pad" area as well as if I have pulled a muscle getting up to pee is very painful. Dr put me on steroids last week, have not really helped. Right now I am taking Cipro twice a day and once again does not seem to be helping. This is looking like it is going to be a very long recovery.
I went back to work the day after I had mine! Not to much pain or swelling, I fit blinds and shutters, so it's manual job! My vasectomy took 50 mins and there was alot of tugging! Surprised I felt ok! Think it's just different for other people!
I have the same exact problem, although I am only on day 6 after.....The pain is not there until I start moving or playing with my son, sometimes tight underwear work, sometimes it dosent. have you had any luck? (September 8 2015)
There is hope. I had an egg sized hematoma in my sack. Around a month after the vasectomy, I saw the doctor and he said it could take a year to fully disappear. Well screw that. I did some research and found clot dissolving herbs, and they totally worked.
From an egg sized hematoma, there was nearly nothing left after a few weeks.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The herbs to use are: nattokinase and serrapeptase
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The doctors dont know everything. They all read from the same book.
BUT, just because something is natural doesnt mean it's 100% safe. These herbs/foods can interact with other medications. Start off with a slow dose, then gradually increase.
I was having about 3 tablets of each per day. It needs to be a reasonable dose to do anything, but be patient and careful not to over-do it.

I'll just add this: my ball was huge for around a month and I was freaking out. I mean it was my ball dammit! But once I started the herbs, a week later after starting full dose and it was clearly reduced size. For me it was a miracle cure (nattokinase and serrapeptase combined) but again be careful. For other conditions I've used natural therapies and had problems, so dont nuke yourself with herbs. Start out with low doses and be patient.
Hi, my husband is going through the same thing and we just purchased the herbs you recommended. You said 3 pills a day. Do you know how many mg it was per day of each? We're really hoping this helps!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi. I have the same lump above my left testicle. I went back to the Doc 8 days after the vasectomy and he didn't seem alarmed. Said among all the procedures the do it's about 5% that have a slight complication. Gave me Doxycycling for 10 days and Ibuprofen 3x a day, 600mg each dose. Tole me to keep wearing the jock strap 24/7 as well. The doc I saw has been doing this 30yrs and he didn't seem alarmed at all. I would suggest your husband go back just so the doc knows one of his patients is having problems. He said this could either be a sperm granuloma or hematoma, it's hard to tell them apart unless it's a hematoma that swells your scrotum up to the size of a softball. Herbs might work, but you should have him go back to the doc asap so he knows. I'm following this post and will update my condition as well as the days go. Doc said 4 - 6 weeks it can take for the body to disolve it. Good luck.
