I just came across this discussion, I know it’s a year old but I used to have the same issues. I started having a period at age 17, I would pass clots the size of softballs & baseballs, the 1st day of my period was so bad I couldn’t leave the house, clot after clot to the point I would pass out while I was on the toilet from the severe blood loss. After having 3 kids in 15 yrs I decided enough, I’d had the iud for roughly 7 yrs by then & my periods hardly existed but when I had one it was the same as it had always been-super huge clots, severe diarrhea & major blood loss & passing out in the bathroom constantly. My on/gyn ran numerous tests & finally figured out that the clots happened to be polyps breaking loose & that’s what was happening for almost 30 yrs, finally a dr figured it out. I had a total hysterectomy & it was a huge success, I actually started to enjoy my life everyday of the month. Good luck ladies, I pray y’all find the answers to the clot issues soon.
I'm pretty sure it's not the pill and is a miscarriage. I'm experiencing the same thing and I'm not on the pill. I did have a miscarriage a few months ago then a few one day periods and now I'm passing tons of blood clots and something Idk what it was. It was about 4-5 inches long and honestly looked like a t**d shape. I had a ultrasound months ago and had an unusual object in my uterus. At first they thought it was a yolk sack but said it was too big to be one plus it looks solid instead of transparent like a normal yolk sack. I'm not sure this is what anyone wants to hear but I'm pretty sure most on here are having miscarriages. I've had plenty of periods for decades and this didn't happen until I had a miscarriage.
