I suggest you quit the mj for a couple of months. Anxiety caused by the smoking is mainly responsible for the things you describe. The hot baths I think unconsciously remind you of the safest place you have ever been, the womb, so you will feel relaxed and symptoms will subside. The first week(s) of quitting might give you some withdrawal symptoms, they are described in other threads on this site. Nothing you describe is unusual if you read them. Those symptoms are all emotion driven physical effects. Once you become more balanced they will die down.
Once you are sober you'll find things will improve for you. When you are at the point that you feel normal, you might consider smoking again but it can all come back when anxiety kicks in.
take care..
Sounds like some other motive is going on here. Someone who has OPIATES (Painkillers do NOT show up as Opiates) in their system. Having his symptoms all sound like OPIATE ABUSE! Heroin, Codeine show up as Pos+ tests oh and Opium. Vicodin, Percocets do NOT show up on the Opiate/Heroin scale. This is NOT nothing to do with Pot Withdrawal. He would be the first person in 5,000 years to have this and its BS!!
We have gullible readers here or a area of people with some other motive. If he was allergic to it- we all know how when our throat closes up- we need oxygen still! Someone is lying here! I have plenty of experience in these areas...
You didnt fool everyone kid.. Opiates bind to stomach receptors. When you dont take your heroin, codeine or what. You go into Withdrawal- stomach cramps , vomit etc! NICE TRY!
yeah ive been having horrible stomach problems latley. im a daily smoker thaat has been off and on. the first time i noticed somthing was up was when i would take a hit and then have to rush to the bathroomm to get sick. and id say when that happened ive been smoking stedily for a few months before that it was only once in a great while. well with me getting sick i didnt think anything of it cuz after tht first hit i would be fine. then about a week later i was soo sick i couldnt hold anything downnot even water, i was getting sick every 30 min on the dot and just the worse stomach pain i have ever felt in my life. it ended up with me being rushed to the hospital because i was so dehydrated.
well so the doctors wanted to do tests to see what was wrong and they thought it was an ulcer and tht came bk negetive and they wanted to do more testing but i didnt have the money so iwas like forget it prolly just a virus. well after that i quit smoking for id say about 7 months
i started again only every once in awhile then it became daily again. after about 3 months i lost my hunger completly unless i was smking i couldnt eat and then i started to slowley cut bk on my smoking so then i lost a ton weight and i felt horrible so i started bk up with smoking again and i had a lil bit of an appitate but thats when i started getting sick again same sickness as before horrible stomach pain, vomiting, fever just pain all around... went to the doctor again (different one) and they couldnt find anything again... i even had a scope look down my throat and stomach and i had ultrasounds on my stomach, liver, etc.... nothing showed up wrong. i decieded to just moderate my smoking and force myself to eat and took some anti acid pills and i very slowley started to get better.
well it happened again i stopped smoking trying to clean up for a job i was clean prolly a lil over a month before i started again and its been about a month (smoking daily) and im starting to lose my appitite and when im sober i have stomach pains till i eat but i dont have an appitite.
when i was sick it was always just acid and my stomach pain was similar to acid stomach pain so i take anti acid pills everyonce in awhile and it helps but thats it. im wondering if smoking is the causse of my weird random stomach pains or if its just coinsidence. it also just might be because i go through extremes in my diet of not eating to eating a c**p ton from muniches to not eating again. im just looking for advice ince the doctors cant help me out.
Hi guys...glad I stumbled across this board. I've been smoking pot for a while. When I got arrested for possession and put on probation/drug testing a few years ago (senior in HS), I began smoking spice for a few months. After I got off probation and went to college, I went back to smoking bud every day, multiple times a day. After a few months, I had the exact same experience as Lizardo. It was about 2 1/2 years ago...I just woke up and couldn't stop throwing up. We had been drinking at a lake the day before, so I just figured it was the heat, hangover, sketchy lake water, or something. After about 7 hours of RELENTLESS nausea and vomiting, I was weak and extremely dehydrated so we headed straight to the ER, where I still barfed for about 5 more hours. Since that first visit, I've had to go to the ER for fluids/anti-emetics at least 10 to 12 times. I saw many different doctors, and tried more prescriptions than I can count...for anxiety, depression, nausea & vomiting, blood pressure, ADD, vitamins, supplements, etc... I've since gotten my disease mostly under controk
My GI diagnosed me with "Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome." ...it's like a migraine syndrome, but instead of (or sometimes in addition to) excruciating, head-splitting headaches, people with CVS get "abdominal migraines" that cause these long and intense bouts of nausea and puking. I quit smoking again, this time for nearly 8 months (yes it was for court again lol), and though not all of my stomach problems went away, they did get much less severe. I should probably mention that I had some other issues going on at that time:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoid_hyperemesis_syndrome
Every symptom on this list is also on the Cyclic Vomiting List
I've been smoking for 7 years when I was 12 because it helped me eat and sleep. I had stomach problems before I started smoking pot, and I think it was from being malnourished as a kid. But it helped me get food down and sleep at night so I smoked a lot when I was younger and have been smoking every day for about 3 years. Since I had previous stomach problems I figured it wasn't the pot causing my problems and probably something else. So what I did was I looked up common causes of stomach problems and one that I didn't realize was cigarettes. So I quit smoking cigarettes and that made my appetite like it never was before. Though I'm hardly ever not high, I had the appetite I wanted and it helped me with a lot of other problems as well. I started exercising because I finally had energy instead of feeling weak. I still smoke pot every day so if you think that marijuana is the cause of EVERY person who smokes it and has stomach problems you're wrong. If you don't smoke marijuana every day and only have problems with your stomach when you smoke, and don't want to smoke every day, I would suggest eating it every now and then or vaping it.
This is the exact sh*t im going through be smoking for years but every day for the past 3 years ,starting having a sore lower stomach on the left hand side like a dull pain about a year or so ago, put up with it for a while then went to the docs got bloods done all fine so i just left it at that but 2 weeks ago i felt a serge of adrenalin through my body and after it felt scared and i nearly s**t my self hahaha (panic attack) this can happen 10 times in a row its brutal .im now on propranolol for anxiety and getting bloods done again instead of 20 bongs a day im now on 3 its only been 2 days i feel no panic attacks coming on unless i take a bong but there mild and i can handle it ....im wondering if its all just mental, worry about something so much u get panic attacks and think you have other problems il be off it by next week for atleast a year (hopefully)...i do reckon the stomach issues are with thc build up i can already notice a difference in the ache i get defo get of it if your on it every day just save it for special occasions i love smoking to much i cant give it up for good ,anyway... good luck all
I never thought it was the weed either.I smoked for years when younger, quit for almost 20yrs.All kinds of test reveled some things like
ulcer,barrets,sliding hernia,but nothing I could connect to weed.I was smoking every day,after work,daytime too on weekends.I only
found out it was the weed after I would stop sometimes for a few days and my issues would clear up.What fooled me in the beginning
though, quiting, was it would take 3-4 days before it all cleared. When I'd start smoking again it would take another few days to kick
in again. So at first like a dummy I didn't give it enough time. But over the past 2yrs. from quiting on and off there is no doubt that
it was the weed.I would always be regular in the a.m,but right after I had nausea and repeated feeling of having to go again. After
a few hours it would clear up like nothing ever happened. It took me a long time to pin it down, but its the weed hands down.
I see now I'm not alone and can do some more d&d on this.Just because it rare,or it doesn't happened to You doesn't make it bs folks.
I quit-it stops,I start again it comes back,That simple!
I'm 20 years old and I've been smoking weed for 4 years, smoking it almost everyday since 3 years. 2 years ago I started feeling a weird pain (kind of a stinging pain) under the left side of my rib cage on and off, it later spreaded to the left side of my abdomen and became omniscient. This pain being worse and worse, it lead me to atrocious anxiety and I even experienced panic attacks. I decided to consult a doctor and got diagnosed with gastritis. The doctor has given me some over the counter PPI (proton-pump inhibitors) which decrease the production of acid in the stomach. She also, said that I should stop smoking and stop eating or drinking acid foods. It has been five days now and I can firmly state that the smoking makes it way worse. I intend on stopping to smoke pot until the symptoms go away and see if I should continue smoking afterwards. Like one of you guys said earlier, maybe it's the time for me to part ways with the sweet Mary Jane and face the fact that it may be (probably is) the cause of my problems. I believe that everything happens for a reason and intend on giving a feedback of my experience.
You're the only m***n here. Most people know that mixing alcohol and cannabis can leave you with a shitty feeling in the morning, especially if it's your first time mixing the two, and it can persist and last longer than a day, or a few hours. Instead of telling people to stop smoking, (it's a free country) do your research. You most likely also smoked something that was laced. Have you even tried reading any of the comments on this site? I understand that this is a year late, but I've been experiencing symptoms that everyone here has. Quitting did not help me in the slightest.
