this is so wrong.
My son is a chronic MJ smoker and has been ill with cyclical vomiting syndrome for about 4 years. He also has a slight jaundiced appearance. He was diagnosed with Gilbert syndrome where the liver makes too many red blood cells (bilirubin). However, after reading about hepatotoxicity I am beginning to wonder if his chronic MJ smoking has been the issue all along. After all, as we learn, ANYTHING in excess (regardless of how seemingly "harmless") WILL affect you.
Wow.... That's crazy i just recently been diagnosed w alcoholic hepatitis and everybody around keeps telling me to smoke weed it's not bad for the liver..... So i started using weed to go to sleep cuz that's what the alcohol was for to help me sleep... Although i have to admit i have been binging too... I'm confuse now... Can u or not? I did some research too.and some say it does harm your liver and some say it doesn't...... Well i haven't had a for 3 wks now but I'm still feeling funny... I've been juicing and doing everything right except exercise.... Now I'm starting to think it might b the weed.... Any answers? Right now I'm waiting on a referral to go c a GI specialist..... Now I'm really scared....
There wouldnt be any health concerns ic you only smoked a little when you were younger dumbass...but if you smoked nonsto for decades...you might run into some of the above mentioned conditions.
Are you seriously using a soap opera for uour source of reference?
People are concerned over thier life due to the health of thier liver and your directing them to pineapple express? Must be a newbie...any stoner that is fearing liver damage has aleady seen the movie...i guarantee it.
A paramedic...not a dr. Dont you deal with emegencies? I think liver damage is due to a long term process when it comes to marijuana
I've read many articles with reference to fulminant liver failure and marijuana abuse. The chemical is THC. Also hepatotoxicity and chronic MJ abuse is very real. Back in the day, everyone thought tobacco/cigarettes weren't dangerous but now we know better. Marijuana needs warning labels. Trust me - I know. I have a son who is critically ill because of marijuana abuse. He is jaundiced, lost weight, etc but he's in denial. I believe his liver is failing. MJ is bad news. I'm not sure about medicinal marijuana. It's processed differently and may not be dangerous like regular marijuana can be.
Patently false reply. There is an association of marijuana with liver disease, heart disease, cancer and is addictive in the long term. There has been anecdotal evidence that marijuana helps with some diseases, but no scientific double blind studies.
Well said!!! Propaganda c**p hahaha. There are so many haters out there saying it's a bad drug. Well I personally know 6 people who have been given extra time in life after being given a month to live for one and 6 for others. The guy who was given a month is 5 months in and gone from bed bound and not able to eat, to getting out and going for breakfast with his family. Gotten married and many other things. He is still going strong. Hemp, marajuana, weed, oils, THC/CBD is good for many reasons. Don't be a hater of the herb we been given that the government don't want us to have. It's many many uses could save lives, trees and emissions from car etc soooooo many uses for it...... promote the love
If you live in the US, you need to make a distinction between health care professionals and law enforcement. You should be forthcoming with any and all details with your doctor. Hiding information from your doctor can lead to misdiagnosis and failure to detect disease. Not only will your Doctor NOT disclose your illegal drug use to law-enforcement, healthcare professionals are forbidden by law to disclose ANY details of your visit to ANYONE, under Title II of HIPAA (Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). To do so would subject the healthcare professional and it's employer to very costly slam-dunk litigation.
Smoking it yes....there are many other safe ways of injesting it....it's kills cancer cells....helps with depression Anxiety, sleep disorders....
We're not talking about cancer here, we are trying to figure out how it effects the liver. Does smoking cause damage or does eating it. Personally I read an article somewhere saying that smoking by passes the liver and puts the sh*t straight into the blood stream via lungs and when eatin its metabolized through the liver. So I'm guessing for liver damage patients like me smoking is the way to go.
I like people like you. Tell me the effects of eating it in edibles instead of smoking it. Let's challenge you a bit and in your research
Hey i am right wing and i smoke cannabis daily. Please don't feel that we all are a stick in the mud.
