That's a lie marijuana is a drug overdosing and just plain using it a lot causes medical issues and can kill
Yes, it could. From earlier in this thread, it can cause Cannabinoid Hypteremesis, which includes vomiting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabinoid_hyperemesis_syndrome
I don't believe marijuana is harmless, unfortunately. I wish it were because it is a wonderful medicine for a number of problems: pain, anxiety, depression, nausea, low appetite, stress, racing mind, insomnia, etc.
I have liver problems due to being poisoned by a pharmaceutical antibiotic prescribed to me by a doctor. It was a fluoroquinolone antibiotic called Cipro - all fluoroquinolones have heinously dangerous, debilitating, and long-term potential side effects. They are truly devil drugs.
Marijuana has helped with many of the symptoms from that poisoning, but I find that I have bad liver effects from regular use. This is tragic to me because MJ has been such a friend. haha
I think it is a matter of balancing the benefits with the potential harm and seeing if it is worth the risk to you. If you are going to take dangerous pharmaceuticals as an alternative, then MJ is probably the safer bet. There are so many dangerous pharmaceuticals that can eff you up for life. I know firsthand on that one.
I think the trick is to think of it as a medicine and to not abuse or over-use that medicine. We should be taking the smallest amount of medicine we can possibly take that controls the symptoms...but most people don't use MJ that way. They use more than they actually need, myself included, because in many cases, it increases pleasure and feelings of well-being. This is especially the case when controlling pain.
I had chemical depression and anxiety so bad from the fluoroquinolone poisoning that I hadn't felt happiness in years. Smoking some MJ with friends was the first time I felt happiness or even the lack of chemical depression and anxiety again.
So it's sad that MJ has ill effects for some people, me included. I love it, but I can't poo-poo the very real health concerns. They exist.
