I just experienced this for the first time ever last night at about 1:30 in the morning, the only real differences being that there was no itchiness or rash and I got major cold sweats and some diarrhea. I'm about to turn 19 years old, work out at least three times a week and have a pretty good diet.
It was completely terrifying for me, I thought I was about to die of a heart attack in my bathroom. It only lasted about half an hour and afterwards I felt completely fine (I actually felt pretty great for a while? it was strange).
If anyone has any extra info, that would be wonderful. The next time this happens I'm defiantly going to a doctor, maybe even the ER.

For anyone going through this - I have too on four occasions - do some research on histamine intolerance and mast cell disease (MCAS, MCAD, mastocytosis). I've listed these from most common to least common. All are treated, to one extent or another, with antihistamines (H1 and H2 inhibitors that you can get ORC like Zyrtec and Zantac). Many have completely gotten rid of their attacks by taking these daily, but discuss with your doctor. I have had success.

Please help I'm scared this might happen when I'm alone at home because it only happens when I'm asleep at midnight

I have diagnosed with Alpha Gal allergy. You might want to look into getting tested for an allergy to red meat.

This makes sense to me. Do you have to have a biopsy done during a bad episode in order for the dr to see the increased number of mast cells?

This is the most mysterious of conditions. I posted earlier in this forum as having had these attacks for about 15 years, sometimes they were only a week apart, then months with nothing. It's been about 4 years now with nothing, not sure why, I haven't changed anything, same diet, no new meds, etc., but I know it could happen again out of the blue. I really think the attacks have something to do with a massive histamine release, but can't put my finger on what causes it.

I had the same symptoms about once a year or maybe twice and I simply could not work out what it is but more and more I thought it was something that I was allergic to in certain bottles of wine! It has taken me 10 yrs to work this out but since stopping drinking wine in April ( after a really bad itchy Palm, feeling sick episode at 3am ) it has stopped and now I only drink wine that I have tested and doesn't effect me... So many people get this undiagnosed system but no one has suggested wine.. I am 100% sure it is a severe reaction to something added to it...

I completely can relate to your post. Just last night well actually early in the a.m. I woke up with a very intense itching in the palms of my hands and the bottom of my feet later accompanied by a bowel movement I felt very faint like I would pass out my blood pressure had dropped some. As soon as I felt the symptoms coming on I took two Benadryl. This is new for me within the past couple of years doesn't happen regularly maybe 2 to 3 times a year but I would really love to know what's going on exactly because I really feel that it could be a life-threatening

In the middle of the night I would wake up with overwhelming itching in my feet and hands. Passing out and a few times swelling in my mouth. I found out I was allergic to ibuprofen.

I have just had what most of you describe , never had it before. I started with the most horrendous itchy hands, palms mostly, then I felt short of breath, dizzy, nauseous and my stomach started to tell me something was wrong. Having wobbled to the bathroom I simultaneously was ill. After there was nothing left I started to feel a little better. I had dressed crab for lunch with lettuce and tomato, I rarely have crab, almost never. About 6 months ago I had lobster and although I didn't have sickness or itchy hands I had very very bad bowels. Could it be shell food? I eat prawns no problem?
Perplexed, but glad it's over. For a moment there I thought I was a gonner :(

The same thing happened to me, I was sitting down at the computer watching some videos and my stomach felt like it was burning and I had to throw up, when I walked out of the bathroom I started to felt dizzy and my vision was fading and my legs were hurting and barely moving, I made it to my room and fell on my bed before my vision went completely black, and then it just went away, I threw up a few more times before I posted this, i left my mom a note to see if she could schedule a doctors appointment for me.I am going to go to bed right after posting this.

I have been dealing with the same symptoms everyone has described in this thread for about 5 +years. Some cases I have had been minor but other times have been severe- almost 4 years ago- 2 weeks after my daughters birth it got so bad I blacked out which caused me to fall and break my foot in 8 places. Following several other instances of me blacking out- but a week ago has now got me scared- I asked my husband for help to bathroom and blacked out hit my head- we are both terrified he thought I broke
My neck. I hit my head so hard a was bleeding everywhere. If anyone had finally figured out what they have been diagnosed please email me please. I have 3 children, and 35 years old. I'm truly scared that one of these times I could get hurt even worse.
