Ladies:
This is something I can really relate to. I've particularly noticed that it started after I became sexually active. I've had numerous UTIs on top of various urine cultures.
So far I've foun what helps me most is using NON-latex condoms. The non-latex brand (Skyn) does not cause me UTIs or even any discomfort. I've tried going back to latex condoms and have come to the same painful conclusion each time, I must be allergic.
Try non-latex condoms ladies bc my latex allergy Would usually show up a week after sexual activity but I was able to finally tie the two together.
I honestly wish you all the best in the world! I know the feeling!

I been married for 28yrs and we aint ever needed a condom so unfortunatly thats not an answer for me, what I did find during my search online is that using pads during periods can cause flare ups because the blood on pad gets in the front area, they suggest tampons which I cannot use due to other health issues and I was told the opposit that inserting a tampon can cause an issue, any others for or against the pad or tampon? I tried ordering AZO tablets of this phenazopyrid stuff and it wouldnt let me have them sent to Australia, so as suspected either its not released here or its on dr script only :(
Hi did you ever recover from this I have exactly the same thing x

I have this come and go fashgirl and its really annoying. Just go the dr and get a urine sample tested and if its a UTI he will prescribe whats best, drink plenty of water, try a cranberry mix from the healthstore in a capsule form as it is better as a mix of other herbs for the bladder system, Uva Ursi is supposed to be brilliant to help this and yesterday my oldest sister I hadnt seen in years tells me she drinks gin and lemon and in 2 days its gone, so gins made from Juniper and I looked up juniper and its a treatment for this also. Fashgirl it depends how or why you have this, if it is not an infection then it could be irritation from sex which should settle 1 or 2 days after sex, it could be a new soap you wash with or even wash your underwear with, even scented toilet paper can irritate everything. Anyway heaps of info is online just type in do's and dont's with UTI
Ever since I became sexually active at 17 I have had UTIs , and had the test in my early twenties it showed little but scaring .
I am 60 now and have this semi burning/feeling full bladder , urgency to urinate. It comes and goes.. I have a very , very tender,
clitoris. Since taking antidepressants , my vaginal lips have shrunk, rather atrophied because of 13 years of antidepressants.
So my vulva, and urethra have no real protection. I keep a feeling of being hydrated, though I am not, this has been life long and
has to to with the spleen. I feel many of us have strongly sensitive reactions, (laundry detergent/fabric softener could affect us.
There are many herbal things to correct the kidney issues. There is a flush that uses parsley (google) Keeping the area clean and dry.
Being of hyper super sensitivity , I none the less stayed in my home as it was being treated for termite infestation. I asked the
sprayer if i should leave and he said no, I'd be ok. I did not watch but learned later that he suited up to protect himself.
Within 2 days I felt I had the flu. I have been poisoned by toxins. This ahs been weeks, but only a few days ago in the heat of
my day I could smell the bug spray. My gums hurt, my stomach is way off; lots of diarrhea, appetite is off, I am very tired, feeling
heavy inflammation, including my urethra... Look at your environmental, foods stress, and medications .
I have not been sexually active for 4 years, and treat anything close to a UTI naturally
gee Dona Luna your poor darling, ok so I got a juniper mix with uva ursi and horstail, I took 2 yesterday(dose is 3 a day) but thats for UTI which i dont have.I got up today and all day no irritation after 2 weeks of hell,I only took 1 dose so far and will take another now it was sold in my healthcare shop as a diretic but works on this anyway good luck all
Thanks Betska, Today after going to market I had the full feeling, then pain intensified. I have 2 if not all 2 of these ingredients and can get the other today. I have a weakness in all of endocrine system due to past use of RX, and I think Juniper was not indicated with liver issues . However I have written all your suggestions down and will investigate. And I thank you so much and wish you many blessings
Hello again Dona
the only thing I seen about juniper was that people with kidney problems shouldnt use it as it can sometimes irritate the kidneys and also maybe irritate the bladder even though its recommended as to be used during a UTI.I took 2 of the juniper mix on the Fri,and was a little uncomfy at the night, but I woke yesterday and not 1 twinge all day, what a relief it was,I was soooo happy. It wasnt till about 6pm when we had to go out and it was very cold out I felt a bit of uncomy twinges. But its only day 2 so I thought we will see.Ive woken today and its ok so far.The mix I got is sold as a diretic. So hopefully I will not need the dr this week.

I wonder if antibiotics sometimes cause damage to the lining of the bladder or urethra - perhaps killing bacteria is not all they do. Side effects may include permanent changes or damage to internal structures or removal of healthy and vital bacteria that then changes the environment of the bladder an urethra. If these adverse effects were to be irreversible then symptoms will persist - who knows?
Me again all, ok day 4 of this juniper stuff and I think I got a bit ahead of myself after the Staurday it was gone and shouldve stuck to the 2 doses at similar times and I think not to late either or itll make you pee at night. So yesterday it was ok till I went out to a market and when I got home I felt the feeling all afternoon, so I not only took my juniper mix drank water lots of cammomile tea but even cooked green beans and drank the water they were cooked in(ancient chinese food cure) I wasnt bad as I have been and so far today its only 9am but I am twinge free,I found a forum of ladies with same issue who use calendula cream on the area , depending on age stress levels cycle part of the month can all affect this, and weather being cold for me is an issue. Im pretty sure the antibiotics dont cause permanent damage as long as you use yoghurt or take acidophilus live cuture whilst on them to replace good bacteria.Anyway off I go to grab some calendula cream today but tomorrow is D day, if still problems back again to a doctor,I might invest in the test strips so at least I can check for any bacteria myself to be sure.AZO sells a range of helpful things for this.Cant buy it here though.
I use pads for leakage, and just started spraying it , with TeaTree Oil . Gives antibiotic shield and makes for comfort Would help with any odor also... Lightly spray pad before use
