I'm so glad this isnt just me or my imagination. I've had this problem or some form of it since I was about 16 and I'm now almost 25. There is good news and bad news...the good news is that I have found a few general solutions I havent seen in this thread so far, the bad news...other than a few precautionary techniques and patience, from what i found I'm almost 99% sure its hereditary and most likely will not go away until I'm 6 feet under. Here is what I've found to be most helpful...

1. Do not ejaculate with a full or semi-full bladder. I know stopping to run to the bathroom when passions are running high isnt the greatest turn on, but the chances of the burning sensation either at the tip or base (or even closer to the prostate, which is predominantly my situation) is greatly reduced just by getting rid of the urine that seems to be the cause of this ridiculusness. Also, its best to wait a while (20+ min) before urinating after ejaculation, no matter how bad you have to go...(I think this is because the muscles used for ejaculation need to relax and get back to "normal" before being exposed to the acidity of urine)

2. This may be a "duh" kind of statement to most, but try to keep it up and fully aroused for as long as possible before you ejaculate. The pre-cum seems to form a lubricating coating from the prostate to the urethra while also pushing up any remaining urine that might be left behind if you just went to the bathroom before gettin it on :-D. This means that if your just looking for a quickie (especially if your drunk), the burning sensation is more likely to happen because your body doesnt have enough time to get the chance to open up the pathways needed to efficiently push the semen out and could cause a sort of leakage into the bladder and feel like like there is something "stuck" when its just a residue of urine on the inside of the urethra near the prostate.

3. RELAX...being tense constricts the blood vessels and muscles near the base of the penis and may make it harder for those muscles to push the semen fully through the urethra.

4. Alcohol. The majority of people with this problem say its more likely to happen when they drink any amount of alcohol. I'm not entirely sure why this is, but it is what it is and knowing this gives you the opportunity to avoid the unpleasantness of this burning sensation.

4. OPIATES. Im sure there are other drugs that can be a major factor in being the cause of or preventing this problem, but long term use of opiates of any kind has a big effect on the endocrine system. They may weaken the muscles that are used to ejaculate fully and also makes it harder to keep it up/feel when you have something left in your urethra.

5. Vitamin E?? Just a guess, but its supposed to be good for the regrowth of cells while smoothing out the inside of the urethra. Seems to work for me.

Im no doctor, but i do have 6+ years of semi-medical training as I work in a funeral home and have always been generally fascinated with science and how the body works. This problem seems to be hereditary and if it happens to you, it will probably keep happening randomly-ish until your to old to get it up anymore :-) I hope this has been a help and I thank you for taking the time to read this long winded rant on the pains of male ejaculation (lol) good luck and think before you f**k :-D

I get this once in a while and its always after a long session with my girl after a big night of drinking. The only cure that works for me is to drink water and sit on the shitter for about a half an hour while piss slowly trickles out of my joint. In fact I been sitting here reading this forum doing exactly that and now I think Im good to go. Cya!

I am 16, and this is happening to me AT THE MOMENT. I found the best way to deal with, it is to just deal with it.

I've had this problem occasionally for the past 14 years and never googled it until now. Glad to know I'm not the only one. When it first happened, my wife was pretty alarmed and I was shocked by the unexpected burning sensation. The problem seems to occur if you are dehydrated and then either drinking large amounts of coffee, alcohol or non-alcoholic drinks. The last time it happened to me was after I drank 500mls of Ribena! The problem subsides after about 30 minutes or so, but I normally drink a few pints of water, wait until bursting and then go for a piss. This seems to speed up recovery. Good luck.

I'm guessing its because you have just ejaculated so semen is still in the urethra which makes it difficult to urinate, you shouldn't hold in your urine before sex you should go and have a piss then have sex

I think its an issue with urine and semen mixing together. I usually have to wait around half an hour before or after to go the toilet, in order to avoid the pain. Sounds weird but cold water in the shower helps as well as watching TV and trying not to think about it. Worst is right before I go to be as there's nothing to district me!

I've noticed when I drink a lot of soda in the day this happens to me so I try and remember to not drink soda as much or not have sex after drinking a lot of soda.. It's been burning ever since I hit puberty which was about 15 years ago (27 now) it's a relief to know I'm not alone

I have had this for about 15yrs, I'm 27 now, it's random and once every 4months or so, the only way I know how to get rid of it isto drink 2 pints of water and get your iPhone or w/e and sit on the toilet and play games for about 20minz whilst doing little pathetic pisses, then it usually is gone. Hope this helps! :)

I'm getting the feeling that lack of energy could be contributing to the partial or incomplete ejaculation. Then semen gets into the bladder. Only tip I've got is the full bladder and try to urinate with force, maybe stop and start to help knock more spunk out. Been experiencing for ~7 yrs occasionally

Whenever it starts I turn on a hot shower and sit down and chill for a while

TOXIC SEMEN BACKUP - This term herd on the bob and tom show.  refers to this phenomenon, of having to piss through a stiffy.  There is simply too much pressure in the bone and our soldiers march backwards. another idea is like too many jets on the runway, one has to reverse the engines, a very stressful maneuver.  The little white jets have to backup to let the giant yellow Hercules pass.

TO PREVENT TOXIC SEMEN BACKUP, don't push your pee out of a stiffy, don't even think about opening the pee valve until ding dong pressure is neutralized.  never forget patience. if it means you have to stop jacking off, or having sex for 10 minutes standing in front of the toilet waiting to lose the boner, then thats what ya gotta do.

I get this too from time to time (In fact right now). Never considered the alcohol connection, but I have been boozing all day. I always thought it was caused by ejaculate drying inside my urethra and then getting pushed out by urine? Def not std, only one partner, been checked, etc
