Pearly penile papules are a normal variant. They are harmless.
They can be burned off by a surgeon with a Carbon Dioxide laser.
Yes the soldering iron method sounds pretty insane, but it's also the only thing I've tried that actually worked. I was extremely skeptical at first, but when you look at it logically it makes sense why it works.
Firstly, It didn't hurt at all while I was doing it. And 6 months later I've had no signs of recurrence and no discoloration or scarring. I am, as you so eloquently put it, "smooth as a motherfucking dolphin."
The soldering iron method, as crude and nonsensical as it seems, is actually quite similar to how they would be treated by a dermatologist. The doctor would have the patient apply a numbing cream (most likely EMLA) before the appointment, and the papules would be burned with either a hyfrecator or Co2 laser.
I tried toothpaste, it was very painful and did absolutely nothing to get rid of the papules. I also tried the nail file, Tea Tree Oil and Iodine. None of them worked either. The Iodine seemed promising, it dried out the skin and the papules actually peeled off after about 2 weeks. I was smooth and happy, until they came back just as big as before.
The actual most effective way to get rid of them, and the way I've preached the whole time, is going to a dermatologist. Going to a doctor trumps every home remedy. Seriously I can't emphasize this enough, seeking professional medical attention will always be the best thing to do. And I recommend braving the emotional hang-ups and taking this route.
I really don't appreciate being called a troll while trying to help others get past an affliction that caused years of anxiety, stress, embarrassment, depression and pain in my life. If the soldering iron method sounds too intense to you - Don't do it.
I just finished my 3rd soldering iron treatment. I could have did it in one shot, but the first two times I didnt numb my penis enough, so it hurt like sh*t. The third time though, I applied the Dr. Numb and let it sit for about 20 mins, then I went to work. Didn't feel a thing this time. Theres a few ones that I'll have to go over from the first and second treatments because since it wasnt numb, I couldnt get a few of them all the way. Thank you all for giving me this idea & the confidence to go through with it. I've lived with PPP since my early teens, I'm 28 now & happily PPP FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see a lot of people saying Castor Oil didn't work for them, but has anyone here tried Alpha Hydroxyl Acid, another supposed cure that you see on those sites(you know what I'm talking about)? Since it's supposed to peel off the skin it makes sense it could work, but I haven't heard of any testimonials so far. I'll try the iron method if this doesn't work, but I would like to try something a more "conservative" first...
Hello Guys!! I have to say that WE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so proud! we put and end to this fu&%ing condition.

NOTE: before u tried this be totally sure that ur condition is PPP cause if its other stuff u could spread the virus or something.
Dan. Wow I cant believe it :))
Pearly penile papules are not a disease and cannot be "cured".
They are normal variants.
If they offend you, they can be burned off with a carbon dioxide laser.
Who has tried the soldering iron method to remove the fordyce spots on the shaft of the penis? Does it works?
So after coming across a smiliar blog post I decided to try the soldering iron method. I bought everything I needed for the procedure but it took me weeks before I even attempted it. I stumbled across this forum post and after witnessing two years of posts reporting success I decided I had to go through with it. My brother had also done the solder iron method and told me to just suck it up and go through it. Two days ago i sprayed up with 10% licodaine, heated up the iron and just couldn't do it. i was too scared. I could feel the heat approaching my skin. I decided this wasn't for me. I'd rather have the awkard conversation with my partner. This morning after playing around with my PPP I decided to give it one more try. I sprayed with the licodaine again and waited till I could squeeze one of the lesions without pain. After I plugged in the soldering iron and put on some inspirational music. After 40 mins I couldn't bring myself to do it. Unplugged the iron then decided to just try one. I hardly even noticed a difference it just tured yellow/gray and got hard, didn't hurt a bit. Ok, not so bad. i plugged the iron back in and slowly but confidently went to work on those lesions. Most of them just got hard and yellow/pale, one of them turned black and I'm hoping it didn't burn. I know I missed a few but I'm not really concerned as I feel confident enough to try this again. Here are a few warnings though: (1) Work quickly or have good timing. There was no pain at all but as time passed on i started to feel a slight prick. 20 mins into that prick turned into a stinging sensation and I decided to stop, I guess that the spray was starting to wear off as it was almost close to an hour since I had applied it. (2) I applied tea tree oil on the area after as recommended by some on this forum. However be careful as this oil can sometimes cause chemical burn if your skin is sensitive. I diluted it by soking a qtip in water then dipping it in the oil and applying. (3) I also got a burn cream which I would recommend using. Mine is called Bepanthene and is supposed to reduce scarring. (4) You're probably not going to get all the lesions in one go so i would recommend getting a sterilizing pack to clean your soldering iron after to reduce any risk of infection. I got one from a tattoo shop (Defend self sterilizing pouch). (5) If you don't have a steady hand don't try this. Practice with the soldering iron unplugged until you develop enough accuracy. (6) Don't be overzealous, do this slowly. I tapped the lesions once or twice gently rather than pressing down firmly, of course I'll know the results of this once it starts to heal but I would rather take my time with this than brand my "bishop in a turtle neck".
Thanks so much to everyone who posted results and information about treating this. I took lots of pictures but I see that this forum blocks photo posts and weblinks so I'm not sure how to share. I'll also take pictures of the healing process as well. Good luck to anyone trying this. It's an extremem method, it sounds crazy and probably is but if you take adequate precaution everything should be ok. If you're a teenager please don't try this though. Just hold out for a while before you give this a try or ask someone to be there with you.
Tea Tree Oil Does Work! Try it before resorting to more drastic treatments.
I am a 39 year old man living in the UK who has been bothered by PPP since adolescence. I have read through this entire thread and thought that I would try applying Tea Tree Oil to the corona of my penis where I have substantial PPP.
After about a week of applying a few drops of the oil with a cotton bud, about every 2-3 hours, I noticed that the top layer of skin all around the corona of my penis head started to dry up and begin to peel with the assistance of a little rubbing.
More importantly, all of the tips of my PPP became much whiter, like dead or callus skin. I gently picked at them with some sterile tweezers and a few of the more prominent ones started to come away from the corona of my penis head leaving a very tiny hole with pink healthy skin underneath.
Some of them were still too sensitive to pick, so I left them alone and continued applying the tea tree oil as before, even on the newly exposed holes where the old PPP used to be. This caused no pain or discomfort and the small pink holes are starting to close and heal.
I am now two weeks in and more and more of the PPPs are becoming callused and pulling off quite easily. At this rate I would guess it will take another couple of weeks before they have all dropped away or been gently teased off.
It may well be that you don't need to pull at them at all and that they would naturally drop or rub off over time but I'm a little impatient and as it doesn't hurt and the PPP looks dead I don't see any harm in removing it.
A couple of tips: Keep your penis clean and dry during this treatment. I have been using my wife's FemFresh Soap-Free Wash, which is especially designed not to irritate your private parts. Something else to keep in mind is to use the tea tree oil sparingly because if you get any on the entrance to your urethra it does sting a little. If this happens just wash it off and the discomfort should pass.
One final comment to anybody out there that is doing this because your PPP is giving you a lack of sexual confidence, you should know that I have had a healthy and active sex life my entire adult life and have never experienced any negative feedback from my partners regarding the look or feel of PPP on my penis. It is very normal and my only motivation for it's removal is that I would prefer to have a smooth penis head. My wife thinks I'm mad for even bothering to try and get rid of something which is a completely normal and natural anatomical variance, but it's just a preference to me and for the sake of performing a relatively easy procedure I decided to remove it.
I will post again in a couple of weeks once I finish administering the Tea Tree Oil.
im going to be trying the soldeirng iron method soon & just have a few questions...
i have about 4 rows of PPP around my rim but they are very small, they feel overly sensitive compared to the rest of the head which feels awkward, does removing them with the soldering iron method help reduce this weird sensitivity? i assume once papules are gone then the weird feeling of having them would be gone too?
im worried that after they are gone ill be way too senstitive or something
ive bought a needle tip battery powered (only 6w) iron and am going to take it really slow, even though it has a needle tip i can see normal areas of skin getting touched with it, unless i use a big magnifying glass to be super super precise, have any of you accidently burnt the head of the penis rather than directly on the papule?
or even burnt the papules whilst erect so they are much easier to hit individually?
i also wonder if whether months later if there is any slight discoloration?
discoloration is better than papules, but worth knowing nonetheless
and just generally what does it feel like being smooth as a muthafucking dolphin? your penis must feel amazing & brand new
i only recently realized how much PPP has effected me, i discovered i had them when i pulled back my forsekin for the fist time at 16, its one of those things that breaks you apart when you first find them, then you kinda forget about it as you hear its harmless but its still effecting your confidence bigtime subconsciously, i'm beyond excited that it seems genuinely possible to be rid of them, i can already feel my confidence shooting through the roof, but not a an arrogant way, just happy that i won't have penis that looks like a nasty STD so will having nothing to hide when starting new relationships
i appreciate any replies & will definitely report back myself
im the guest from above, not sure anyone checks this thread anymore, most of you are probly out living your lives getting stress free BJ's, but i'm sure someone will come across it in the future, so am reporting back
so i went ahead & numbed by tip with some anaesthetic cream then burnt all the papules with a 6w battery powered soldering iron, my PPP was pretty bad so i went over each one 2/3 times, got most if not all of them to crackle, most of the PPP went yellowish & hard, kinda like they'd dried out, some stayed white, then i applied antiseptic cream which has made them all go soft again, my bell end is a bit sore but nothing major, hopefully i didn't burn it too bad, i got quite into it & wanted to make sure i got all of them and may have burnt some skin as its hard to touch exactly on each PPP especially when you have lots of them, but theres no obvious burns or anything
its weird to think in a few days they could just fall off, they all seem firmly implanted still... i reckon i may have to go a second time, but lets see...
keep me updated man, I've been contemplating doing the soldering iron method for a long time and I'd really like to hear how it ends up turning out for you
will do, good to know someones still reading this thread as its what made me go for it, right now im having doubts whether i burned them enough, i used a 6w soldering iron which is less than the 30w quite a few people have been using, but it heats up to around 300c so it must be hot enough!
its been 2 days and they are still sore, i have to keep my foreskin over them or they hurt when they touch the inside of my boxers, they definitely feel crisp & burnt and are very sensitive
one thing ive noticed is that when i pull back my foreskin its really moist which i never had before, i dry it off & the papules still have that hard/dry feeling, but i'm worried with the moisture that accumalates under my foreskin that it will slow down healing or cause an infection, sometimes as wounds heal they weep moisture aswell so maybe thats it... any tips anyone has on how to keep it dry under foreskin please share
everything looks ok though, generally a tad worse than when they were there before not being burnt, here's to hoping that after healing all shall be well!
i had a dream last night that they were mostly gone, and it was a good feeling, ive never had that dream before, not that i remember anyway
im gonna take pictures aswell
hello group, ignore the naysayers who are too scared.. they are the same ones scared to go after their dreams because they cant step outside of there comfort zone..
its been 3 months since I've done the first operation with an solder iron and numbing creme and still smooth as hell!
best decision i made in my life, next to following the lord!
now i can continue my PE regiment without being turned off when looking at my thick member :)lol and fyi my social anxiety and anti social behavior has ceased the day i was fully healed up!
no discoloration or scarring or pain! even in the recovery process
I'd suggest though after the intiail burning to do some sort of dermabrasion scrub or peel everyday whilst healing.. it worked for me and like i mentioned no pain! if it hurts i wouldnt do it.. and tea tree oil is a God sent before during and after treatment! needles to say i am smooth! i would post pics but last time it got removed.
